Air bag light is on and dealer diagnosed and could not identify the problem Nissan dealer of rolla charge me $145. Dealer irresponsiibly reset the airbag code ( erase code) and return the vehicle that there is no issues. But air bag light came back on in few days. It is showing code b0020 but with no additional information. Dealer is not taking responsibilty on faulty airbag system and it is recurring issue of 2016 Nissan Altima air bag recall. You need to force the manufacturer to address this issue before safety is comprised. Nissan does not know the issue with airbag problem of 2017 Nissan Altima.
The airbag light in the dash came on and stays on.
The passenger side air bag light is on took it to the dealership they saying they check everything with the wires and sensors and did find anything wrong there so I paid for a test to be done. Was told they erase the code but if the light come back on need to replace the panel so I'm not under why I'm responsible for a defect in a vehicle that is not my fault.

A few months back I took my car in to have the airbag recall fixed. Flash forward a few months and the airbag light has come on. If somebody sits in the passenger seat the light goes off. The Nissan dealer is saying the OCS sensor sometimes go bad and quotes $400-$1500 to fix the problem. The car has never been in an accident and is kept clean so there is no chance that an item effected the OCS sensor under the seat when the seat was moved. But the more I researched the issue the more suspicious this seems. How do so many people have the same problem. . . And how mamy others have the same problem but cant or dont know how to report it.

The passenger airbag seems to be faulty due to a sensor fail. So the airbag light malfunctions and the airbag won't work. Since this is clearly a safety issue, I was hoping you would look into a recall. It is a problem a significant number of 2009 Nissan Altima owners seem to have (see https://m. Carcomplaints. Com/Nissan/altima/2009/seat_belts_air_bags/air_bags. Shtml).

The airbag light won't turn off. I'm unsure which airbag, but from what I understand the light on means airbags won't deploy correctly in the event of an accident. It started on 12/13/20 and has continued throughout 12/14/20. The light stays on regardless of what position it's in. Parked, turning, driving, etc.
As of November 2020, the airbag indicator illuminated and remained on. It initially occurred when starting the car and there were no passengers. My concern is whether the airbag will deploy properly in the event of a crash, which is a safety issue.
My passenger air bag light stays on while driving and a passenger is in the seat and this has been going on since I financed my car back in 2015 I'm the only owner of this car and the dealership won't help me.

My car air bag light came on while I was driving but I didnt think much about it, I drove it like that for a couple months, my husband told me to take it to the dealer to get checked out, first dealer told me the cost was going to be 1600. 00 and they quoted me the part was going to cost 1200. 00, I refused to pay that much and we were able to get the price lowered to 900. 00 but they couldn't fix it because the part was on back order, so they reset the air bag when I left the dealer the airbag light was off, the next day the light came back on, a few days later I took it to another dealer to see what they would say, first day they reset the airbag light I asked if the airbag is activated they said they did not know, I said well its still a safety issue, I asked how can the airbag be deployable then, he said we will need to change out the airbag, so they ordered the airbag and eventually replaced it, I asked what if the light comes on again he said then we will have to see whats next on the list of parts to replace, so in other words it just change out parts by trial and error, I drove off and the following day while I was driving the airbag light came on again and unfortunately I am driving my car with out a activated airbag, I am afraid to take it to the dealer again because of the cost and trial by error them not knowing how to pin point the problem, currently the airbag light stays on and I was told by the dealer that my air bag is not activated while that light is on.
Airbag light will not go off, it stays on solid red. I contacted Nissan and was informed 2013 Altima does not fall under the recall for the airbag issue.
For several months the passenger side airbag indicator light has been working intermittently. Sometimes the light shows unoccupied when an adult is sitting in the passengers seat. I don't know if the airbag is working properly or not. I took my vehicle into the Nissan dealer in leesburg, FL last week for routine service and told them about the problem. They performed a diagnostic test and did not find any fault codes. They then got in and out of the seat several times and said the airbag light displayed properly. The next day with an adult passenger in the seat the light again showed unoccupied. Why hasn't there been a recall regarding this problem.
Noticed that the airbag indicator light has been staying on no matter if someone is in the passenger seat or not. Going to have it checked out by the dealership who may charge me to run a diagnostic test.
2014 Nissan Altima 2. 5sl airbag light came on and stays on.
Airbag light came on out of nowhere and cannot get it to reset. I've disconnected the battery and tried the reset with key ignition and neither work.
Airbag light came on on the dashboard and is staying on. When an adult passengare sits in the passenger seat, the passenger airbag light does not turn off. This happened about a month ago. I have read several recalls for airbag sensor issue but my car is not listed. Dealership is tells me that there is no recall for the issue and that I have to pay to have it diagnosed and fixed. Car currently cannot pass stated inspection due to this.
I am manolo kalata. I live in 301 round up circle edinburg TX. My phone number is 956 533 1930 with driver's licence number 21329540. I own a 2015 Nissan Altima. On the night of July 27, 2020, while I was driving on highway 83 from san benito TX to my home in edinburg TX, I just noticed that the red airbag indicator light just popped up from nowhere. I was alarmed about this and I thought my passenger (my wife) just didn't put on her seatbelt. But when I checked she was using her seatbelt. So I went ahead and look again that red indicator light and I noticed that it was the airbag indicator light. So I just went driving very cautiously home because I'm scared that something might happen along the way.
Air bag light for passenger seat keeps coming on when in motion.
Passenger airbag light is on even when someone is in the seat now the one on the dashboard is staying on no codes coming up on computer this is happening when car is in motion and stationary tried resetting light is still on.
The air bag light activated and the engine rpm dropped while driving. The engine accelerator lost power, then picked up speed after pushing on the accelerator.
While driving on street, the gas petal will no longer provide power to the car and begin to slow itself down. I will push on the breaks briefly and try the gas petal to see if it works and it will take a few times before it does. While on the freeway the vehicle again, gas petal would no longer provide power to the car and begin to slow itself down. This has now happened 8 separate times to the car. It will work for a few days and then do it again, with out notice. No check engine light goes on. Second issue is, the steering wheel will also feel extremely loose, not during the same time but when my speed is over 70 mph. Also, the check engine light nor any safety notices will go on. Lastly, the air bag light won't come off. The gas petal issue happened again on July 3th, 2020 and I decided to take it to get looked at. The dealer for a 5 point inspection and they found nothing wrong. I check the NHTSA website and it shows no recalls done. Does this mean they have not been completed?.
My husband was just in his first wreck this past week or so in our Nissan Altima 2008 2. 5 s, and prior to the accident we had noticed our passenger air bag light had came on out of no where. Well, it didn't deploy when he got into the accident. Every other air bag except the passenger one deployed. Even the ones in our seatbelt area didn't deploy all the way. The wreck happened on a highway. The man my husband rear ended was yeilding to turn left. My husband was going 35-40mph.

(1) the passenger side airbag light is faulty. It is always lit as off even when there is a passenger on the seat. (2) car jerks when changing gears. I was reversing into a parking space. When I tried changing gears from reverse to drive, there was a delay and then the car jerked. As I tried to slowly accelerate, the car would not advance as it normally should. I then parked and the car began to accelerate/ rev while in park. My car is up to date on everything. I'm afraid this could happen on a busy street or highway. Please help.
My vehicle is only 8 years old and recently the airbag light began to flash on the dashboard , which is the sign of a problem with the vehicle. I took my vehicle to the dealership (elk grove Nissan, California) and paid to figure out the problem. After performing the diagnostics, I was told that the airbag system was faulty and that it would cost me $1500 to repair. My question to them was: " why should I pay for the repair if the airbag is faulty?" I also said that if the airbag is faulty, it should be recalled. They informed me that there was nothing they could do because there was no recall on my vehicle. I have since checked the service and maintenance guide for my vehicle and there is nowhere in the booklet that states that the airbag is a maintenance item for the owner. The airbag is a safety item and should be recalled and repaired by the manufacturer jf it is faulty as is with my vehicle. What is frightening is that the red light is still flashing on the dashboard and I have no idea what might happen if I continue to drive this vehicle. The airbag is faulty and should be recalled and repaired ASAP before something very serious happens. Since August 2020, I have traded phone calls, emails and letters with Nissan to no avail. I am therefore appealing to you to kindly intervene to resolve this problem. Please find attached, copies of communication with Nissan for your information and review.

The passenger airbag issue from campaign id #r1609 in 2014 and again in 2016. The same issue is now happening again. This includes the passenger airbag light showing the airbag is not active when an adult is sitting in the seat. The seat belt light is also on showing the passenger is not buckled up when in fact the seat belt is connected and latched. This happening when the vehicle is both moving and not moving. Nissan issued a consumer affairs case number, but is refusing to fix the issue under the recall due to it being fixed twice before.
The airbag light for the passenger side stays on which means the airbag on the passenger side will not deploy because it's not detecting any weight. Even when someone sits in it it doesn't detect weight. The tires are constantly losing air.
The airbag light will not shut off after reset.
We were driving and the air bag light illuminated. We were not in any kind of accident. Pulled over and turned the car off, had passenger get out of car and back in then restarted the car. Light went off like normal. Shortly after driving it came back on and now no longer turns off, disabling my air bags. Have tried to not have passengers, have passengers, not have seat belt, have seat belt and nothing fixes it. Checked the airbag fuse and fuse is intact. Checked that front bumper sensor was clean and had no damage. Disconnected battery, waited 15 minutes and reconnected. Loght remains illuminated. Tried to let the car run for 20 minutes and light is still illuminated. Ran car self diagnostic and nothing showed. Unsure what would have happened while driving 30 mph to turn the light on and cause it to no longer turn off. I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle and need to find a certified repair place to have it fixed properly.
I had an airbag light come on recently. My Nissan dealer said there was something wrong with the side airbag which is built into the driver's seat and would require the back portion of the driver's seat to be replaced. This is a 2014 Altima with less than 30k miles on it already having an airbag fault out of nowhere with no accident. It concerns me that I am having to foot a $1600 bill to fix a piece of safety equipment that the manufacture seems to have poorly made.
Driver and passenger airbag lights stay on no matter if someone is occupying either seat.
The vehicle has had problems with the passenger airbag several times even if someone was sitting in it. The light would flash off and on and then go off. Now the light stays on and also shows the airbag light on the instrument panel now as well. Have had it checked by the dealership and they said the sensor is faulty. They want around $2500 to replace the seat cushion and cant ensure that it will match. This is a ridiculous amount as well as a safety issue. After researching this is a ongoing problem among numerous Nissan owners of this year. The cars value is not worth it and it cant be sold to anyone else due to the safety issue of the airbag light. The connections have been checked and nothing is loose or broken. I believe a recall needs to be done on all vehicles affected with this issue. This is a liability that would fall on Nissan due to they have recalled some models and years already with this issue but refuse to fix this problem. I have been trying to get a remedy to this issue for many months now only to be told by Nissan they cant do nothing.
My airbag light just came up on the dashboard and would come off I just started the car and it's been on ever since.
Air bag light stays on and it won't go away.
Srs supplemental airbag light began flashing when starting the car up. For while I put up with this, but I was concerned. I looked online and found numerous other people reporting similar problems. I eventually found a procedure to reset the warning and for a time this worked. I took my car to the local niissan dealer was told the front passenger seat occupancy sensor was faulty and that to fix it, the entire lower seat cushion would need to be replaced for approximately $2000 which I thought was outrageous. They also told me my entire airbag system would be inoperative until this sensor was fixed, which doesn't make sense to me. Why would faulty passenger seat sensor disable all airbags. I think Nissan should recall cars with these kinds problems and not stick customers with replacing $2000 seat cushions.
