2 Car Stall problem of the 2012 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 06/25/2020

The vehicle would randomly stall while driving, particularly when slowing for a traffic signal. The engine stopping would cause all power assisted functions to cease making it difficult to steer and brake. Most recently the vehicle would start extreme hesitation while driving and I could not get up to the posted speed limit of 55 mph. I had to use my flashers to warn other drivers that my speed was only approximately 35 mph. Also the transmission had difficulty shifting. This was extremely dangerous on a 2 lane highway where vehicles rapidly approached from the rear. It wouldn't negotiate a large hii (lack of power) and I had to have it towed to my home. Receipt below.

5 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 08/01/2017

My complaint is that my vehicle is turning off with a brand newly installed battery and my Nissan dealership cannot read my car to understand why this is happening. They kept my vehicle for close to a month and still did not fix the problem. The vehicle never fails to turn over, but it just loses power and turns off like someone snatched out the battery. Sometimes it fails to turn over, right away, but then it turns over and I can drive it a few miles before it stalls on me again, even while driving. I have 64,500 miles on this vehicle and I have babied it since I purchased it brand new in 12/2009. The slip light comes on and the o/d light flashes and then the vehicle gets confused and shuts off. It is annoying. It feels like a battery issue and my Nissan dealership changed what they called a faulty positive terminal hook-up but I still have this issue where my vehicle will not stay powered. I have to repeatedly start the vehicle back up and barely make it home. I was never in a crash, but I did hit the bottom of my vehicle on an abutment that was in a automotive parking lot while I was driving at 3mph. But this happened in 2014 December and I had the vehicle looked at and drove it for almost two years without any problems.

7 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 06/13/2016

Engine idles too low: engine idles at approximately 600 rpms, when ac kicks in idle drops to 500 rpms or less causing vehicle to shutter and shake as if it is going to stall. Have taken vehicle back to dealer for reset, but vehicle still idles at around 600 rpm. Vehicle specs state vehicle should idle at 650 rpm +or- 50 rpms for v6 engine. This is too low when ac is turned on.

9 Car Stall problem of the 2007 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 04/13/2014

I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier which has only a 122,431 miles on it and something went wrong with the transmission. When I was going up the hill it was like it just stalled out on me. I've been doing research on it and it seems like alot of other people is having the same problem and it seems like Nissan is just trying to hide the problem. If its something that their at fault with they should be the one who fixes it. I depend on my truck everyday to get me to work and if its the coolant and transmission fluid is mixing its a very expensive fix which I can't afford and the other people shouldn't be reliable for so I wish u would consider this and do and investigation on it and try and get this problem fixed before it messes anybody else's up and puts them out alot of money. There's just to many people on the internet with the same problem and if u all don't do something about it Nissan is just going to keep doing the same thing til someone does something about it. Thank you for your time.

10 Car Stall problem of the 2005 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 03/05/2014

I currently own a 2005 Nissan Frontier. 3 months ago, the vehicle had been stalling on me every several days, it would immediately turn back on. Last month it began shutting down on me every 2 days, a few times on the highway, almost getting rear ended a couple of times. It would turn back on, but after several tries and after 15-20 min wait. After checking recalls on my vehicle I noticed I had not been contacted about a recall for the replacement of a ecm relay, which was causing vehicles to shutdown. This relay was replaced and vehicle had been running fine for 3 weeks, but my vehicle has now started to sputter every few days. It has shutdown on me twice in the last couple of weeks.

16 Car Stall problem of the 2001 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 11/01/2000

This Nissan pickup has had a random stall problem since new. It has been to the dealer numerous times (at least four, perhaps five?) but is simply returned each time with the comment ' could not duplicate the problem'. I have pursued through Nissan's 'customer hotline' but this was unsuccessful. I understand the difficulty in diagnosing a random problem but I don't really feel as if much effort has been put forth by the dealership either. This problem is dangerous as it invariably decides to show up when I am in congested traffic and I find myself stalled in the middle of an intersection unable to move. It will sometimes restart on the first attempt but again may require numerous tries to get restarted. Most recently, I left with the dealership again on may 31, 2002, and when I contacted them yesterday, June 3, 2002, I received the same old report, 'cannot duplicate the problem'.
