Gasoline Engine Problems of Nissan Frontier

2011 Nissan Frontier. Consumer writes in regards to evaporation emmission control system. The consumer stated in order to fill the tank with gas, the gas spout must be held about 3 quarters of the way out of the filler neck. The consumer was concerned this would cause spilling or splashing. The consumer stated at a particular gas station the gas nasal had a wide rubber gasket on the gas nozzle dispenser that covered the entrance to the gas tank.

Engine rattle during cold starts. Severity and duration change from day to day. Some days more pronounced and lasts as long a 10-12 sec, others not to noticable and lasts3-5- secs.

Engine check light keeps coming on. Vehicle sputters and jerks occasionally. Had repaired, but problem still exists.

There was noise coming from engine. Consumer took vehicle to dealer, and dealer had vehicle for about a month. Afterwards, dealer stated noise was normal, and they would not do anymore work on vehicle.

Engine lifters not getting oil for 2-4 seconds on start up, usually after sitting unused for over 24 hrs. One oil gets to lifters, engine quiets down. Oil filter too small??.

Problem 1) difficult to start when engine is hot and truck has sat for 1-4 hours problem 2) vibration in driveline under light acceleration in overdrive and when truck bed has weight in it viration occurs all the time. Dealer had truck for three times before deciding to shim the rearend which has not helped any. I believe the problem is with Nissans brand new transmission that is in this truck but it seems they dont want to accept that fact. I have gone as far as to have a Nissan engineer from denver look at this truck but still no fix. Problem 3) passanger side door glass is loose in the frame and rattles-dealer has not yet been notified about this latest problem on the crappy truck. Also to let you know there have been problems with the brakes that the dealer managed to fix after the 3rd trip for repairs.

Dealer has not addressed problems other that to say they are looking at the problems. Ummary does not list defects.
