1 Engine Stall problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 12/28/2014

Driving approximately 45 mph, and engine stalled and cut out. Lost power steering and power brakes. Needed to make evasive moves to avoid accident and get off road. Car ran out of gas. Dashboard fuel gauge said 1/4 tank of gas. Onboard trip display said zero (0) distance till empty, but I do not use this. I had to get assistance and 1 put less than 1 gallon gas in car. Fuel gauge did not move and still says there is 1/4 tank gas, while trip computer registered above 0 dte. This is extremely dangerous to lose control of vehicle unexpectedly. I have been driving for over 27 years and have never run out of gas and have always relied on the gauge, not the trip computer. Please investigate and let me know what I should do. This is a very dangerous situation. I had 2 kids in the car, and I am grateful my wife was not driving, as she would have been unable to steer or apply brakes in such a situation when loss of power occurs under this situation. The trip computer can be wrong, but the fuel gauge on the dash board should always be correct. Basic principle.

3 Engine Stall problem of the 2004 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 06/10/2014

While driving in the freeway, the engine sudenly stalled, pulled over and tried a couple of times and engine started again, after that the stall cotinues happening with no simptoms at all, it happens at any time and any condition; during traffic driving or during high speed driving, day or night. Really dangerous because some times other drivers have problems to avoid crash with my van that does not start and can not be moved away. All kind of reviews have been performed and no success to fix this issue. I have read this is a very frequent failure for Nissan Quest vehicles; can you do anything to ask Nissan for a solution? a lot of money has been paid for sensors, relays, ecu, fuel pump and of course labor. Please help.

5 Engine Stall problem of the 2012 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 01/13/2012

Purchased a brand new 2012 Nissan Quest just weeks ago, current mileage 320. Engine stalled with little less than quarter tank of gas in a slow turn. Computer indicated that the van had enough gas for 30 miles travel. Luckily there was no cars behind us, so I was able to apply the brake and restart the car to the nearest gas station. Contacted the service department the next day, the service adviser advised me to make sure not to let the gas tank go down below 1/4 tank. After reading all other complaints from current Quest owners, I will be contact the manufacturer, including the dealership first thing tomorrow. I am not sure if I can return the vehicle, eventhough it has been less than 30 days since the purchase date.

7 Engine Stall problem of the 2004 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 12/15/2006

: the contact stated while driving various speeds, the engine stalled without warning. Afterwards, the engine would not restart, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. Initially, the dealer determined the battery needed to be replaced, but the problem persisted. The dealer later determined the throttle body needed to be replaced. After the replacement, the stalling continued, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer to await installation of a data recorder to record any type of failure within the vehicle. The manufacturer was alerted.
