Air Bag Light On Problems of Nissan Rogue - part 2

I just took my vehicle in for it's normal maintenance (oil change/filters, etc. ) today - 7/12/19. All is in good condition, except I asked Nissan to look at the flashing airbag light that started about a week ago for no apparent reason (o/a 7/5/19). They told me that my front air bag sensor is not working, and that it is not covered and would cost me apx $1,020 to fix. This is an apparent safety issue, and I did nothing to my vehicle for this kind of thing to stop working. I am concerned for my safety and am very reliant on my car to get to and from work, etc. I believe, due to the safety aspect alone, this should be a recall notice and fixed. If you could please look into this, it would be very much appreciated.

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While the contact was seated in the front passenger seat, the air bag off indicator illuminated. The contact was concerned for her safety and took the vehicle to darling's Honda Nissan Volvo (located at 114 sylvan rd, bangor, me 04401, (207) 941-1460). The dealer reset the sensor, but it did not correct the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no repairs for the vehicle. No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 8,200.

Air bag failure - the airbag sensor in the passenger seat failed which caused the entire airbag system to not work (as noted by the flashing airbag light on the dash as well as the secondary airbag light constantly on near the gear shifter). This is a safety issue and concern. This particular year of the Nissan Rogue was not part of a recall (2008 and 2010 were included in a recall for the exact same issue). As a result, in order for the airbag system to work and to remain safe in the car when driving, it requires a new passenger seat cushion. This repair costs greater than $2000 (part and labor).

Takata recall air bag light is on for the passanger side and it wont turn off. The dealership wants to charge $2000. This should be a recall from the looks of it many of these vehicles are having the same issue. I feel unsafe driving my vehicle at this time.

My passenger side air bag light turns on even though there is a passenger or not in the passenger seat. I could be driving alone and it is turning on and off.

The airbag light continues to flash all the time and will not go off. I would assume this means there is a defect in the air bag.

When I purchase this vehicle on may 7, 2019 I noticed the right air bag lights stays on the dash board while driving the vehicle. Just starting the car the air bag light comes up on the dashboard.

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle made a loud abnormal noise and suddenly came to a complete stop. In addition, the forward collision avoidance emergency braking system, air bag, and brake warning indicators illuminated. J c billion inc. (270 automotive Ave, bozeman, mt 59718, (406) 551-6529) was contacted and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was taken to tonkin wilsonville Nissan (9206, 26700 sw 95th Ave, wilsonville, or 97070, (503) 222-2277) where it was diagnosed that the automatic emergency brake sensor and passenger side air bag sensor needed to be reprogrammed. The sensors were reprogrammed, but the air bag indicator remained illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 3,900.

The air bag light comes on . Vehicle was service at balise Nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . All they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .

The driver side air bag light is blinking this could possibly be the module. I have looked in the internet and I have that the module is a problem on Nissan vehicles. The light is always blinking.

Air bag indicator on dash flashing. Fault indicates that the passenger seat has a faulty seat cushion sensor. Dealer stated that owner has to pay $2,000 to repair. In the mean time any passenger riding in the passenger seat does not have airbag protection. I do not understand why Nissan is not required to repair safety issues?.

Purchased used car. Airbag light is on with adult passenger in passenger side seat. Nissan said this VIN was not part of recall. They said cost to repair is $2000 and it's not covered under warranty.

Air bags light on indicating they are not operational. Transmition problems when in drive and the vehicle is stop. Inmense trembling of the vehicle when in such conditions such as stopping in a traffic light in any road.

The vehicle was taken to midway Nissan (located at 2209 w bell rd, phoenix, az 85023, (602) 635-6512) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v244000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

"takata recall"my 2011 Nissan Rogue airbag light started blinking while driving to work in my local area. It continues to blink while car idles as well. I had it looked at that afternoon at garage. They said problem in driver side airbag not working. Confused as this is a safety feature factory installed and yet I as the consumer must maintain faulty safety equipment as well as daily maintenance to this vehicle. Just spent 2000. 00 dollars at Nissan getting all maintenance required done. Now this too.

Passenger airbag light came on after my 8 year old was seating in the front seat while car was parked. Scan code b1018 occupant sensor malfunctioned. Called Nissan which noted that its a known issue with the 2008 Rogue models and still has a recall campaign for that year but my 2009 model is not included. But ironically the same exact issue exist with both model and fixing the issue will cost me $1000. There numerous complaints on the same issue for Nissan Rogue models 2008 - 2010 but Nissan is taking no action especially with a major airbag safety issue like so.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (orange coast Nissan, 2850 harbor blvd, costa mesa, CA 92626, 714-576-0680) where it was diagnosed that the seat sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called larry h miller Nissan (1320 plum valley ln, highlands ranch, CO 80129, (720) 274-5200) and was informed to schedule service. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,674.

Passenger seat airbag sensor does not detect a passenger when seated with the seat belt fastened. Red blinking airbag light and yellow airbag light are illuminated on the dashboard. Took the car to the dealer and they retrieved the computer code b1018 dtc occupancy sensor malfunction. Dealer stated they would charge their hourly rate to investigate further. Nissan corporate said that I will need to pay for the investigative hourly rate because the 2014 Nissan Rogue select s awd is not included in the 2016 Nissan passenger occupancy sensor recall.

Started the vehicle one day and the airbag light on the dashboard was on. The passenger airbag indicator was also on, which indicates that said airbag is disabled but there was no one in the seat. Looking up the dashboard's airbag light flashing sequence in the service manual (one long blink followed by five quick blinks), the problem stems from the occupant classification system sensor that is embedded in the passenger seat bucket. Research shows that this is a safety component which has been in other service bulletins for various Nissan vehicles. For the Rogue, the recall campaign bulletin ntb-095d covers this exact issue but only for 2008 units. Forum posts by owners appear to indicate that many others have had this issue for vehicles not covered in said bulletin. The cost to replace the seat is around $2,000, since Nissan can not replace the sensor itself. This is cost prohibitive considering that the vehicle has not been in an accident. It presents failure on the vehicle's safety system, which contrary to mechanical systems is subject to minimal wear (if any), significantly reducing the vehicles usability unless the owner is willing to take the unnecessary risk of using it in the mean time.

The passenger air bag is malfunctioning. Stay lit even with adult seated on passenger side. Dasboard blinking airbag light while engine is on and driving.

My passenger seat is not registering an occupant and now airbag light is flashing.

Passenger airbag indicator light shows the airbag is off when an adult (meeting the weight requirements) is seated in the front passenger seat. This issue was subject to recall several years ago. It was fixed at a Nissan dealership then and the problem is now re-occurring.

Vehicle in the shop for a major oil leak, 2 key fobs don't work, recall, leaking sunroof, and last but not least air bag light flashing. Quoted 3500 to replace seat/module, 350. For oil issue, 1400. Sunroof. I inherited this car in 2013 when my mother passed away and it only has 20000 miles on it. I could buy another newer used car at this rate!! this is rediculous for a vehicle with so low miles to have this many issues. At this rate I will never purchase or recommend Nissan again. Front passenger air bag light start blinking, and air bag is off.

The no occupant airbag light stays on even when an adult sits in the passenger seat and the airbag light consistently flashes when the key is in the ignition (engine on and off). There is currently a similar recall but I am told that my VIN is not part of the recall.

Passenger airbag light stayed on, indicating that airbag would not be on or active, while passenger was in vehicle. Passenger was approximately 140 pounds. Airbag malfunction occurred when first entering vehicle and light stayed on. Thus far, occurred two times with two different passengers. Have photo documentation. This VIN is not listed on the air bag recall, however there are still issues occurring. Seeking for Nissan to repair the malfunction of the airbag sensor/ light.

My passenger air bag light keeps coming on saying it's off and it's been happening for awhile now.
