3 Brake Light On problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/06/2019

I was in the parking lot of a home depot. I turned right into an aisle where there were available spaces. As I approached a spot I took my foot off the accelerator to let the car slow down on its own and rested my foot on the brake pedal getting ready to apply the brake to bring it to a full stop once I was in the parking space. As I approached to space the car responded properly by slowing down. I turned left with my foot resting on the brake lightly pressing down getting ready to fully apply the brake for the final stop. However, as I pressed the brake the car kept rolling ahead on its own. I then pressed the brake pedal harder and harder but the car kept rolling and I pressed with all my strength on the brake pedal but it kept rolling, not stopping until it hit the parked car in front. There was no braking power at all. It appeared there was little damage to the other car, just some scratches and indenting of the area below the trunk lid. My car was damaged in the right front fender area with some bending at the headlight area. The fender is also misaligned with the hood. Although we drove it home, putting it in neutral whenever we were slowing down and applying the brakes we will not drive this car ever again. We will have it towed to the dealer. The car is equipped with automatic front braking, which obviously didn't function and it seems to have overridden my attempt to manually apply the brakes. We will have it towed to the dealer and want Nissan to refund our money. The car is about two months old with only a couple of thousand miles on it. At purchase the salesman said there were the equivalent of 17 laptop computers in the car. Maybe they should have less electronics and more reliability.

5 Brake Light On problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/03/2019

I purchased this car brand new. 2 weeks later I was diving on the freeway and the park brake system light went and bam the brakes hit. Scared the crap out of me. I've owned this car for 8 months now. Its happened to me 6 times already. The bad thing is you never can predict it. I've taken it to the local dealer and all they tell me is that they can get it to duplicate. So I went on line to do my own research and found a bunch of other people with the same issue. I am elderly so I was starting to think I was going crazy and also the Nissan dealer was making me out to be as well. I purchased a new car so I could be safe. I feel like I'm driving around a loaded unpredictable gun. These incidents happened on the freeway going south i25 of albuquerque. The other happened on bridge and isleta abg 87105. Downtown area albuquerque twice. Fee way i40 going east of albuquerque. I will be installing a camera to make sure it documented for further action. Because it will happen again.

6 Brake Light On problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/24/2018

Brake warning light comes on dashboard and makes beeping sound when brake is not on, while I'm driving. Its been leaking under the dashboard by the foot pedals, almost every time we get a good rain shower in florida. When I get in after a rain and drive, it plus in on my feet or the passenger side. I asked them to check it and they said my windshield is the problem I should take it to my insurance to deal with. The car is extra loud even when window are altho way up. Headlights are very weak, you can barely see them on the road at night.

7 Brake Light On problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 04/14/2018

While driving across and particular set of inlaid railroad tracks, the Rogue beeps at me and then slows down or sometimes stops due to the forward emergency brake (Feb) feature. This happened multiple times before I figured out what was going on. I've taken the car to the dealership twice about this issue and they cannot figure out what is wrong. I've since resorted to turning off the feature while driving to avoid having my car stop suddenly. However, this past weekend after forgetting to turn the feature off (which you have to do every time you start the car), my Feb deployed as well as the abs light, the slip light, and the brake warning light in a residential neighborhood when nothing was in the road. While attempting to move the car to safety, the Feb kept on slowing me down and the brakes felt as if they were grinding the entire drive. I tried to turn the vehicle off and on multiple times to see if the system would reset itself, but it wouldn't. I called to have the vehicle towed to the dealership, where it currently still is. They have yet to figure out what is going on. This is the third time in the dealership with no resolution yet.

The back brake lights fail to come on. When I had them checked, the auto mechanic said the bulb was burnt. After changing the bulbs, the brake lights still did not come on. We checked the fuses and this did not solve the problem. The brake lights still fail come on when the brakes are pressed.
