1 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2020 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 11/20/2020

This vehicle was purchased brand new on June 2020. First incident was in November 2020 I was driving at 55mph on a highway and all of the sudden the emergency brake was turned on and my car came to a complete stop and the car started beeping letting me know of the possible collision. There was clearly nothing in front of me but thanks to this incident I came so close to causing a monstrous chain effect of an accident and could have been fatal if someone would have rear ended me given the speed everyone is traveling and my car suddenly stopping. I took my car to the dealership it was purchased from and they "did a software update" and replaced the electric module of the car. Since that incident I am very fearful that it'll happen again. It's terrible that I'm driving a care I don't even feel safe in and still paying. Also there's this noise coming from the back axel's they sound like if there braking apart very loud and every time I back up they can even be heard and it turns heads and its terrible again I'm embarrassed of the loud noise of it and took it to the dealership all they can say is "cant hear and cant fix issue since its non-existent". Also the radio randomly will shut off and power on at any time then speakers start to sound like if someone dropped water inside of them! and again the dealerships response "no issue at the time of service" and there recommendation is to record it on my phone when it happens. Well I cant do that if I'm driving. This car is the definition of a lemon. Not happy of the purchase and wouldn't recommended this vehicle to anyone.

2 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 09/21/2020

I was just leaving my job, and driving down a local, double yellow-lined road, doing about 35-40 mph, when my 2018 Nissan Rogue's automatic breaking system suddenly, and aggressively engaged, causing the entire vehicle to shudder, and make a horrible noise, along with flashing orange, triangle warning light. The terrifying part about it, was that there was absolutely nothing in front of me, and thankfully no one behind me. I pulled over, and had a small nervous breakdown. This is an extreme safety issue! I don't want to think about what could have happened, had I been on the expressway or had my daughter in the car, and there was an accident! Nissan should absolutely recall the cars affected by this! not just issue bulletins to dealership's. Unacceptable. I'm calling the dealership tomorrow, to find out what can be done. Now, I'm afraid to drive my car.

Failure Date: 01/21/2020

4 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 09/03/2019

Driving on interstate about 10 mph. Car suddenly makes this loud noise and shuts off. It did restart and I didn't lose electrical as I was on blue tooth call but if happened when I was going faster this would have been a catastrophe! . This is the second time though. The first time I was in parking lot and I thought I did something as it was a new car. I was not touching anything but steering wheel and lightly touching brake as I was in traffic but there was quite some room between me and the car ahead.

5 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/16/2019

Driving in a parking ramp with no obstructions visible, my car stopped after the aeb was activated. There was a loud noise and the car stopped even though I had my foot on the gas. After it came to a stop, it started again. The car is currently at the dealership being looked at. This is a couple weeks after my car had an error with this system pop up when I was driving on the expressway.

6 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/16/2019

I was traveling at about 35-40 mph on a city street when the vehicle suddenly stopped, and there was a loud noise around the right front wheel.

7 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/12/2018

I was driving around 11am using local roads. I had been driving about 5 minutes when I pulled up to a stop sign. It was a clear day, light traffic, dry pavement, no leaves or other road debris. As I pulled away from the stop sign, within 20 feet, the car suddenly started shaking and stopping. It made an incredibly loud noise. I immediately pulled over the shoulder. There were no messages on the dash or behind the steering wheel. After sitting there a few minutes, I proceeded home without further incident. Later that day, I dropped the car off at the car dealer to check into this problem. I was given a loaner car, and by the following Monday, got a call to come and pick up my car. The service team was unable to replicate the problem, so nothing was fixed. This also happened on September 24, 2018. This time, I was exiting a highway and was slowing down on a ramp. The car suddenly started shaking and made a loud noise. It grinded to a stop. It was startling to me, as I've never had a car do this to me before. I assumed there was something wrong with the road surface and figured the anti-lock brake or the collision avoidance system had engaged. I was taking a friend home from cancer surgery that day, so I didn't think about it a whole lot. I had other worries. In considering what happened, I believe that the brakes automatically engaged in both cases. It seemed like the car was determined to stop, even though there were no obstacles in my way. I had no control over the car. It's an unnerving thing to have occur, but at least I was going slow and didn't have cars behind me. I'm concerned that if it happened as I'm going at a high rate of speed on a highway, it could cause a car to rear-end me, or cause my car to swerve out of control and cause an accident.
