As I was driving on a city street on 09/03/2020 my car decided to stop automatically by itself in the middle of the street. The breaks locked up and the steering as well, I was thrown forward almost hitting my head off the steering wheel, I didn't because I had my seatbelt on, thank goodness. If there was another vehicle behind me I would have most likely died. This is completely unacceptable and should not be happening. I called the dealer where I had purchased it from, performance kia in moosic, PA and they can not get me in for a whole week which is also unacceptable because I have to drive it in order to get my children around and myself to work, this is scary and needs to be resolved. I noticed plenty of other people complaining about this issue as well!.

As I was driving the vehicle (2011 Nissan Rogue) cut off as I was slowing down. The vehicle began jerking as I was driving. All the lights on the dashboard came on and the vehicle shut off at a stop light. During another incident the vehicle stalled while going down a rode with a small hill. Then stalled on the highway off ramp. Luckily, we had a shoulder area to pull off. After sitting in the vehicle an waiting for 10 - 15 minutes the vehicles started and began driving fine. We later took the car to our local mechanic and her changed all the belts, axle rods, ball joints as wells as an oil change. The car rod fine for 3 months then bam! once again the same issues occurred. Our mechanic suggested researching information about the transmission because he felt the car transmission should not be the problem but from all the problems we were telling him, him thinks it is the transmission. We have read several current and former Nissan Rogue owner complaints and realized the problem was bigger than minor wear and tear. I would appreciate if the NHTSA will take this matter seriously and have Nissan take responsibility for the faulty work it is doing with vehicles put the lives of millions at risk daily!!!!.

Purchased vehicle left lot, it drove fine on the highway. As we were exiting the highway, waiting at a red light, the vehicle started vibrating and rumbling. The check engine goes on and off and the passenger seatbelt light doesn't go off when the belt is clicked.

The cvt belt causes the car to stall out while in driving conditions. While driving and pull up to a stop while the car is at normal operating temperature the car will stall and won't take off. Some intersections I have approached have almost caused accidents so to this problem. I fear for my family and the other drivers on the road due to this problem.
Tl-the contact owns 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the verhicle was invovled in an accident on 12/02/2016. The whole left front cap of the vehicle was damaged. The vehicle was repaired after three months by the dealer billy navarre Nissan 1700 siebarth dr, lake charles, la 70615 (337) 439-9955. Since then the vehicle has been back in to the dealer at least ten times since 12/2018. The issues had to do with the tcm in the engine, an etrc sensor again in the engine, the belt pulley, the transmission, the bcm was replaced, the tpmf was replaced. All of these issues originated with the engine. The cvt unit was replaced and recalibrated, there was a loose pin of the power relay box, two sensors had to be changed including the02 sensor. Another issue was with the gears not shifting fluidly and the transbody sensor had to be changed . The most recent issue was the vehicle sputtering with the transmission straining to change gears. By the time the contact pulled into the neighborhood the vehicle had no acceleration and the check engine light came on again. The vehicle will have to be towed back to the dealer tomorrow. The contact believes the vehicle was not drivable since the crash. The contact was being rushed to the hospital when the crash occured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home and then towed to the dealer a later. The failure mileage was 49,000. Tf.
