Last night hot air was coming out of my a/c and I shut off the car and it would turn back on again. It happened 3 times until the 4th time it shut off. When I went to start the car, it would not start. I waited one hour until the mechanic showed up. He revised the car and could not see anything except that the car would not start. We tried to start the car and at the 4th attemp it started and I went home with the engine light on. I went to have it check with a computer and I have a diagnosis code-p1217 engine over-temperature condition, code-p0090 fuel pressure regualtor control circuit, code-p0507 idle air control system rpm higher thatn expected, code-p0087 fuel rail/system pressure - too low.

While driving in the middle of the road at a green light my vehicle shut down . . . In drive. I placed my foot on the break to put the car in park no hazard lights came on. I turned the car off completely placed my foot on the break and started the car up and proceeded to place the car in drive once in drive the vehicle shut down leaving all lights on with no hazard lights. I started the car up again placed the car in reverse the vehicle shut down once again in reverse I put my foot on the break to shift back into park. I came to the conclusion that no matter what gear I shift to the vehicle shuts down in gear not moving.

My car has been dying intermittently for the past few months while stationary. Today my vehicle shut off while I was driving home on a residential street, traveling approximately 35 miles per hour, causing the steering to lock up and my vehicle to abruptly stop. All the indicator lights shut off as well. Another vehicle had to swerve into the other lane to avoid rear ending me.
On March 31, 2020, while slowing for a traffic light, my vehicle began to shake violently and as I came to a complete stop, the engine shut off. Upon taking the vehicle to a local Nissan dealership, I was informed that the engine wiring harness would need to be replaced. This is a problem, in and of itself, because this component can typically last for the lifetime of a vehicle except in cases for which there is extensive damage to the vehicle such as an accident or flood, neither of which have been the case. Multiple external service technicians have agreed that this type of mechanical failure should not be occurring in a newer model vehicle with less than 50,000 miles. It is my firm belief that the mechanical failure of a component which rarely fails point to poor quality of craftsmanship and should be investigated as a potential recall issue as it poses a safety issue and the occurrence of such an issue at this stage of a vehicle's life is highly unlikely.
Tl the contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. While the gear shifter was in reverse, the vehicle shut off and the key failed to release from the ignition. Additionally, while in reverse, the vehicle accelerated. The vehicle was taken to faulkner Nissan jenkintown (900 old york rd, jenkintown, PA 19046, (215) 887-8870), but they were unable to duplicate the failures. The failures recurred. While the vehicle was in reverse, it moved forward. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact removed the key from the ignition to stop the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 300. The VIN was not available.

I was driving my 2017 Nissan Rogue on a routine trip from my home to my office. I was turning through a residential intersection when my car shut off without warning mid-acceleration. I would estimate I was going no more than 5-7mph as I accelerated from the stop sign into 25 mph. Because I was going up a slight incline, I was able to put it into neutral and coast backwards out of the intersection. I contacted aaa and waited for them to run their battery tests. After ruling out battery issues, I had it towed to a local mechanic who encouraged me to take it to Nissan due to a computer malfunction. The mechanic informed that what happened should never happen. Nissan put it through their own tests to determine what exactly happened with the computer. They later found that a wire had been rubbing against a bolt. The wire was the wire that connects the computer to the engine. As explained to the wires of the car are all bundled together and inside of a "protective" tube. The tube was rubbing against the bolt, then opened up, exposing the wires. The wire that happened to be the one that continued to be in contact with the bolt was the wire that then shorted the computer and turned the engine off. They ensured me that there was nothing that I did that caused this but they were unsure why the wires/tube was in the location that it was. It was a little over 1,000 miles outside of the warranty (my car had 37,300 miles on it) and refused to do anything about it. I attempted contact with Nissan north America multiple times, the first woman eventually told me there was nothing they could do as it was out of warranty. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she never returned my calls.

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. While driving 65 mph on the highway, the vehicle shut off. The contact stated that the speed reduced to 20 mph as the vehicle was being pulled off to the shoulder. The vehicle would restart, but shut off again even with the cruise control activated. The vehicle was able to be restarted and was slowly driven home. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who stated that the transmission failed. The dealer (abeloff Nissan, 3259 PA-611, bartonsville, PA 18321, (877) 715-4935) stated that there was no failure with the vehicle. After the vehicle left the dealer, the check engine indicator illuminated. The independent mechanic confirmed the transmission failure, but the dealer insisted that there was no failure and sent the contact a computer printout to back up their opinion. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 92,300.

When I apply the brakes, the car sometimes just shuts down completely and turns off. I have been able to then put the car in park, and restart it. It has happened when I have slowed the car down to go over speed bumps, when I stopped at a stop sign or red light. It also happened on a highway on-ramp. Nissan has not been able to fix it.

In January 16, 2016 while driving, the engine shut off. It did not restart for approximately one half hour. We contacted the local dealership to report the issue and requested a diagnostic but was turned away stating it was a "fluke" and to monitor the issue to see if it occurs again. In June of 2016 we received a recall notice for this issue and brought it in for a fuel pump replacement on June 7, 2016. March 15, 2017 while driving the vehicle at approximately 30 mph the same event occurred, the car shut off while driving. On April 03, 2017, we took the car to the local dealership. We were told again that the tests did not indicate any issues. Last evening at 8:10 pm, 4/17/2017, for the third time the car stalled again. This time at a t intersection while making a left turn. The car stalled in the middle of the intersection.
While driving at 65 mph in traffic on a bridge with no shoulder my rouge died. The engine shut off completely, my breaks locked up and were hard to push. This bridge is extremely dangerous and has fatal accidents on a regular basis. I have never felt so scared and helpless as I prayed the other cars could see that I was not moving. This is extremely dangerous and could have been fatal.
While driving on the highway the engine shut down, requiring me to pull off the road immediately. Vehicle was towed to a Nissan dealer where it was determined the engine seized due to a "factory defect" requiring it to be rebuilt.
