Due to new manufacturing of the oil pan being plastic. The threads of the plugs are breaking the plastic pans. Causing the plug to be unable to be placed back and new oilpan to be installed. Oil pans are on 3+ month backorder giving apperance this is a very common issue.

Driving on a local freeway at the state limit 70 mph. I passed an 18-wheeler and proceeded to enter the right lane after passing the truck. Once in the right lane the power reduced/engine malfunction light/ service light appeared. This was the first engine lights to appear since owning the vehicle with 12000 miles on it. My rate of speed was dramatically reduced causing the 18 wheeler I had just passed to slam on their brakes and forcing me off the road to avoid an all-out collision. Vehicle was towed to dealership for repair. I was told a seal failed on the water control valve causing the engine malfunction. The seal was replaced and vehicle was returned to me. On the way home from the dealership, after the water control valve repair, the vehicle stalled entering a highway in the center lane! for the second time in less than a month, my life and unsuspecting other travellers' lives were placed in danger due to the malfunctioning vehicle/engine. I was able to put the vehicle in park and restart the vehicle and make it home. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it sits.

The vehicle stalls when attempting to accelerate after a complete stop at a stop sign and traffic light. This issue has been going on and off from the year 2020 until now, March 22nd, 2021. The acceleration stalls have almost caused about three accidents so far in busy intersections in north jersey. I have brought the SUV into Nissan service center three different times and their response was, scanned vehicle, no dtc codes found at this time npf no problem found at this time. I have multiple video documentation showing a high rpm of 3-4 while vehicle's mph is barely passing 20mph, resulting to the engine check light appearing and the malfunction error message illuminating on the dashboard.

Without pressing the brake my car's shifter will go into low gear or another level. This has caused my car to stall out, and a dead battery. This happens when I am driving only.
I purchased this vehicle in 2018 and within a few weeks had issues of the engine light coming on, I brought it back to the dealer where I purchased it they were unable to identify the issue, I brought it to the Nissan dealership they replaced a sensor but did not believe it was the issue, the light went off and on a few times, the forman of the shop was on vacation and was going to check the vehicle out when back, the engine light went out and remained out so he never looked at it. On October 29th my engine light came on and my vehicle has quickly began to buck and feel like it is going to stall. Since purchasing this vehicle I have had nothing but problems from the entire seal of my windshield coming off and having to have the entire winshield replaced only to have the seal around it begin to come off again within 2 months, my tailgate has completely died and will not work on manual or power, water leaks in and the carpets get wet. This vehicle has been nothing but ongoing issues since I purchased it.

I did a research on the 2013 Nissan Rogue. 2yrs ago on the same truck. Well anyway I didn't think I would have any problems with my truck until now. The transmission has now failed in my truck. Its has stalled on me in the middle of the street and highway which is a danger to me and other cars on the street. The electrical in the truck when trying to drive over the speed limit or not the truck will start to overheat and shut down on me in the street. Then I would have to seat and wait around an half hour to an hour. I have been experiencing problems for awhile but didn't expect it to get this bad.

I purchased a 2016 Rogue sv (VIN knmat2mt2gp599948), I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle since I brought it home. I had the head unit replace no less than 4 separate times because it would stop working and go black. The car had less than 10,000 miles on it. I was told it was being replaced with a "brand new unit". The dealership forgot to transfer my xm subscription to the new unit, so when I called to activate I find out not only is it not new, its 4 years older than the car I own. While replacing this the technicians destroyed the surrounding trim. Last June my car started stalling out, this happened on multiple occasions. The engine died but the electrical components stayed on. It has died at gas stations, stop lights and pulling onto a roadway. It continues to shudders at stop lights. Nissan was unable to replicate the events so I was told to take it home. Last week my Rogue began to push 6000 rpms while on the highway, pedal to the floor and I never made it above 45mph. During this event the car wouldn't go below 4000rpms, this event lasted about 30mins. This happened multiple times and we have video of the events, about 15 minutes worth. I was told this week that the dealership had sent the issues to Nissan, and that with the video/the complaints that Nissan would replace and fix what they believed to be the problem, something with the transmission. The dealership then called my husband and told him that we could pick up the vehicle and take it home. They told him that "Nissan created a technology" that is now installed in the vehicle so the next time an event happens it will record it, to continue driving it for a 1,000 miles. I feel unsafe in this vehicle. I do not trust this vehicle to deliver my daughter and I safely and reliably to our destination. I will be happy to share the video as well.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning and was unable to be restarted. Once restarted, the vehicle was shifted into reverse and the vehicle stalled again. Additionally, while the vehicle was idling at traffic lights, the rpms would idle at a low rate with the vehicle almost at the point of stalling. The vehicle also hesitated when accelerating from a stop. The vehicle was towed to Nissan of stockton (located at 3077 e hammer ln, stockton, CA 95212, (209) 956-6500) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure occurred six times daily. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 27,000.
When driving in snowy conditions, the air intake filter clogs with snow resulting in an immobilizing loss of engine power. When driving from colorado springs CO to lawrence KS in March 2019 while it was snowing, we lost power and had to stop three times to clear the snow from the air intake filter because the engine lost power and could not ascend the rather gentle hills in kansas on interstate I-70. This causes a very dangerous situation for two reasons. First, the very slow moving or stalled vehicle causes a hazard for the other traffic is travelling at normal highway speeds. Secondly, stopping along the highway during snowy conditions to clear the air filter puts the operator of the stalled car in danger as well. I have driven many other different vehicles in snowy conditions and have never had this problem. I believe the 2018 Nissan Rogue sport has a design flaw that allows the air intake filter to easily become clogged with snow. The Rogue sport funnels the intake air directly from the grill, while other vehicles seem to have placed the air intake in a more protected location in the engine compartment.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. While the vehicle was merging onto the highway, it suddenly stalled and did not immediatly restart. The vehicle was later taken to hill Nissan(6401 cypress gardens blvd, winter haven, FL 33884) where it was diagnosed that the front sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The sensor was replaced. Later, while driving onto a freeway, the failure recurred and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle could not be restarted and was towed back to the dealer. While at the dealer, the failure could not be duplicated and the cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 25,000. The VIN was unknown.
Vehicle sputters then stalls on I-10 interstate hwy, chassis control light comes on. Vehicle will restart and immediately stall again yesterday night. Extreme safety hazard as this occurs with no warning and for no apparent reason. This has happened on multiple occasions, today, this morning at 7:40 am 2/26/2019 it happened on the freeway in a rainy, cloudy and fair visibility and I was unable to get to the side of the road due to speeds. Car is 1 month, brand new and driven for 2400 miles only.

Vehicle sputters then stalls, chassis control light comes on. Vehicle will restart and immediately stall again. Extreme safety hazard as this occurs with no warning and for no apparent reason. This has happened on multiple occasions, today it happened on the freeeay in a snow storm and I was unable to get to the side of the road due to speeds. Replaced maf sensor with no luck. Seems to be a very common safety issue not being addressed by Nissan.
On January 13 (about 29000 miles) while driving up an on ramp off of the highway the vehicle started to sputter and hesitate. Pulled off and put vehicle in park and engine continued to sputter a few seconds then die. Tried to start up and would briefly start, sputter, then die. Towed to dealership and was told my maf sensor was junked up by a bug. Sensor was replaced. On January 25, same thing happened. Driving down the highway and vehicle was becoming hesitant, inconsistent and jumping rpms, started sputtering and eventually stalled. Getting towed back to the dealership. Current mileage 30588.

Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated the vehicle would stalled or decelerated when driving 10 mph, on another occasion, the contact stated the vehicle would unable to accelerate above 60 mph. No warning indicator lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic testing was completed and the contact was informed, the cvt transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage approximately was 105,000. Aw.
One week after purchasing the car, I took it on the highway where the speed limit is 75 mph. After about an hour the speed slowed to 65, then 60, then 50 etc. , even tho the gas pedal is to the floor. Cruise control also had no effect. I had to pull over in a very dangerous situation. After a few minutes, I got back on the road and up to speed again. This has happened now 3 times in 2 days. . So obviously I don't feel safe taking it on a busy highway. From what I gather, this is a transmission cooling issue and is remedied by installing a $1200 external cooling unit of some sort that Nissan is aware of but won't address(?) I am not happy.
Tl the contact owns a 2018 Nissan Rogue. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the lights flickered on and off without warning. Later, the "no key", "near crash", and "traction control" messages illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to hgreg Nissan delray (located at 2200 s federal hwy, delray beach, FL 33483, (561) 404-5337), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 24,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. While driving 65 mph, the rpms increased and the vehicle stalled on the highway. The contact coasted the vehicle to the road shoulder. The vehicle was able to be restarted after a half an hour. The failure occurred a few times previously and the vehicle hesitated. The vehicle was driven to jeff wyler Nissan (8680 colerain Ave, cincinnati, OH 45251, (513) 385-1400) and diagnosed, but the contact could not remember the details. The vehicle was then taken to matt castrucci Nissan (3013 mall park dr, dayton, OH 45459, (855) 299-1946) to be diagnosed and they had to "drop the pan". The vehicle was scheduled to be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that they would pay 60% of the repair cost. The failure mileage was 105,000.
While my son and I were driving up in the hills my Nissan Rogue 2011 awd stalled and started to roll backwards cars were honking son put on flashers and had gas pedal to floor it had no power whats so ever. Finally got into a parking lot trying to get some power. Suddenly it started to work again. This was a very dangerous situation and Nissan knows about it and should not put peoples lives at stake like this. Something needs to be done about it. Thank you very reading.
Rpms will keep rising while the speed of vehicle and speedometer drops and stalls.

Pulled into parking stall. With foot on brake, shifted car to park. Engine rev'ed and car lurched forward at high speed, jumped curb and concrete wall in front of stall. Impact from stopped car to wall is less then 2 ft, but car impacted with enough force to damage front and side panels (see photo).
Sept 2017 I paid sandy sansing Nissan 853. 00 to replace my defective cvt jatco transmission that failed. Now January 28, 2018 with less than 6000 miles on new transmission I was driving interstate 70 mph posted speed in heavy rain when the car began to go up in rpms revving before it quickly began to lose speed. Same thing as before. The roads were slick due to 24 hours of rainfall placing myself in a deadly situation. I'm not willing to risk my life or the life of my children and husband for a known defect Nissan has been aware of, and sued for numerous models already and yet still installing defective cvt transmissions with only a 12,000 mile or 12 month warranty on their replacement models which states they know they are trash and still deceive their customers. Nissan owners should be aware of the death traps they are driving and Nissan should be held liable for their defective products they continue to sell to consumers without disclosing the potential loss of life that could occur.
I was driving in snowy conditions and vehicle began baulking as if it was going to stall. A chassis system control warning displayed on th dash. I contacted the dealership and they advised it was due to the slippery road conditions. They advised to turn the vehicle off and back on and the warning would disappear/reset. I did this and the warning was removed however, brief moments of random "baulking" continued. A few days later I was travelling on a multi lane highway in a snow storm. The vehicle began to severely "baulk" and then the vehicle stalled completely. I was traveling very slowly due to the road conditions and the stall was so sudden, there was not enough momentum to get pulled over to the side of the road. I tried to restart the vehicle. It would start for 2-3 seconds and stall again. I was stranded, with my children, partially in a live lane of traffic, on a busy highway, in a snow storm. I kept trying to restart the vehicle and after approximately 20min it started again. I was able to drive about 5 -10km before the vehicle stalled again. I wanted to report this issue as I found a recall for 2014 and older Nissan Rogue for the same issue that was identified as a fuel pump issue. Nissan reported the issue had been corrected formrogue's manufactured after June 2014. My vehicle was manufactured Feb 2015. This is not only a recall issue, it is a serious occupant safety concern.
