I and many others have noticed that the 2020+ Nissan Sentra has a very common issue with its window switch where the driver side window works, but all passenger windows get stuck refusing to roll up or down, or do so very slowly. I have had people try to come up to my window where I could not properly shut it, I have had to leave my window partially open over night, and in the rain.

I have called Nissan USA and the Nissan in newburgh to schedule an appointment for lamp switch recall and have not recieved any calls or communication back. At this point im scared that the lamp switch is affecting my transmission and I'm just getting the runaround from Nissan so they don't have to take care of it. My car has episodes where is now doesn't start and I need to get a jump. My car also shifts out of gear while driving which is incredibly dangerous especially since I take the highway to work. Please let me know how to proceed.

The starter and electric problems. The vehicle has been serviced 5 or 6 times each with the problem the issues has not been resolved. Is there a recall in any of the said problems above. No, incident occurred, it is a repair failure. Problem has not been fixed and diver has been back and forth to the dealer over and over with same problem, the diver wants to know if there are recalls on ignition or starter problems and electrical problems. Said vehicle is not in running condition, it is at the dealers as now.

The back up camera stops working for awhile. Sensors work but no rear camera pops up when in reverse.
Intermittent ignition switch failure. Presents as little to no power. Vehicle will not crank over. Minimal lights come on dash board, no digital readout, dim lights inside vehicle. Eventually car starts with no problem after several tries. I have excluded battery, alternator, grounding issues, wiring issues, fuses. This is similar to a recall issued for other Nissan Sentras made in the same year.
For the past 6 weeks my car has abruptly stopped. No forwarding, no lights. All of which occurred during heavily moving traffic putting myself and others in grave danger. Due to my quick thinking and cdl training I was able to redirect traffic until I was able to move to safety. I have had my battery jumped at least 4 times within one week. I had it tested multiple times and it shows no issues. Only at Nissan did they say it could be the battery but not sure. Also no lights came on. My car has been maintenanced on time. This issue is very scary. This is my only means of transportation and serves as my designated vehicle for employment as well. Although there's no recall showing there's definitely an underlying issue that needs to be addressed and I'd hate to have that happen after a fatality or serious injury happens. My vehicle is only a little over a year old this shouldn't be happening. Please advise as to how this issue can be resolved and at little or no cost to me as I was informed that my car is in great condition aside from the major issue that I mentioned. I have almost been reared eneded and also almost did the same to others. There was also a time recently I drove thr6a bank drive through and immediately afterwards my car shut down and I had to get help. Please help me resolve this situation as it to me is high priority. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

The bluetooth system consistently malfunctions with detaching from the internet while listening to music when making hard left after washing car there’s a loud rubbing sound emitting from the undercarriage on the left side.
When my iphone is connected to apple carplay in my vehicle, a loud static sound occurs during phone calls, and music playing. This static causes the audio to cut in and out, making conversations unintelligible. Because of this, I am unable to safely use the hands-free calling feature, which forces me to either end the call or take my hands off the steering wheel and eyes off the road to put the call on the phone’s speaker. The problem is frequent, occurring multiple times per day. The only temporary fix is to physically unplug the carplay cable and plug it back in, which is dangerous to do while driving. This is a serious safety issue because it defeats the purpose of hands-free communication, which is required in many states to comply with distracted driving laws. Other owners of the same make and model have reported experiencing the same carplay static and call dropouts, suggesting this is not an isolated case but a possible defect. If the vehicle is to be driven safely and legally, the hands-free calling function must work without forcing the driver to take unsafe actions. This issue should be investigated as it creates a significant risk of driver distraction and potential accidents.

When it rains the car hydroplanes and the traction on the tires are no good. Also the door locks don't unlock properly and the door won't open. Also the warning for vehicle collision front and back doesn't work properly and doesn't warn you when a vehicle is going to hit you from behind. I was rear-ended and it didn't alert me at all and the driver of the other vehicle took off. And once in a while the front collision works and most of the time it doesn't work.

I was at a stop light in a busy area and I got a message saying critical engine malfunction warning, engine power reduced. I had to floor the car to get it to 5 mph, then when I got it in the only minimally safe area I could the emergency braking system was the only thing that stopped it. My brakes failed too. My car has only 71k miles and is not quite 5 years old. It's been meticulously maintained as well. This is not acceptable.
While driving car shuts down in traffic!!! cuts off at stop signs!!! cuts off driving up steep roads!!! jerks and jolts forward!!! speeds up and down while gauges fluster!!!! the car slips in and out of gear!!! my life has been in danger since I bought this car… I need the situation taken care of this car is a dear trap and a severe safety hazard!!! this car in whole was recalled I don’t know why Nissan missed my VIN number….

Bluetooth/carplay usb not detected whenever im driving my car will keep undetecting and detecting my phone while usb connected.
My car would cut off on me and all the lights would turn on and the engine light. It would shake then slow down and cut off. It happened to me while driving on the freeway. I was able to cut it back on before accident happened. I’d randomly try to start my car and right when I do the engine light would turn on the car would rumble nd shake really bad and cut off so I’ll have to wait like three min and the car would start up. I forgot what day it happened but my car still acts weird.

Car is constantly turning on inside even if the car is turned off, the radio will play all night. Sometimes in comes on and then it turns off. When car is turned on and I am driving all of a sudden screen and dashboard will go out all black and then all of a sudden turns on. This has been happening since I purchased the vehicle which was about 2 years ago, I did take back to question it and it was stated to me that sometimes vehicles do that because the vehicle has just been turned off. Now to add to that I am getting a key system error on dashboard when driving the car and electrically speaking the doors are now not locking but everything mechanically is intact and working.
Automatic emergency brake engaged while driving when there was not a car directly in front of me. There were no obstructions on the road and cars in the lanes next to me were not merging into my lane.
Started having problems within first two months of purchase, bought new in April 24. Charge ports stopped working. Also reported to dealer electric burn smell. Hesitate to start/stop with push button. Feels like loses power while driving. Rpms revs unexpectedly. Almost wrecked a few times due to this. Happens during continuous driving, not stop and go traffic. Sometimes when put in park, it will jerk hard. Sometimes when put in park and turn off, doors don’t unlock automatically. Car will jerk when starting at times. Forward collision light comes on often. Sounds like front rotors or something in the front rubs while driving. Auto engine off/on sometimes doesn’t work. The first time I took it to the dealer, they didn’t record their visual inspection. They blamed a lot of stuff on rodent nests. The second time I took it to the dealership, I made it a point to have the visual inspection recorded and sent to me. Surprise, no rodent nests found! both inspections were completed in less than two hours even though I told them I could stay as long as needed. Since then, the burning smell has worsened.
The malfunction symbol/abs light comes on once a week & will not allow me to crank my car and I have to jump it off to get it back started. My car is bought from a rental car agency Jan 2025 who provided me the receipts that the car was taken care of properly. Within the first week of purchase, the vehicle would not start & the malfunction and/or abs symbol would appear and happens once a week since I purchased the vehicle January 2025. According to google, this unwanted abs or malfunction warning is very common in the Nissan Sentra. Seems as if this is an unwanted problem occurring in several year models, it should be recalled. It is a safety hazard for all involved.
Entire car needs repairs problems with starting.

Problem occurred on 11/29/24 at 5:00pm.
When I bought the car, it started making a grunting sound every time I would accelerate the car and start driving. Now the car stalls while I'm on drive. It had turned off on me a few times while driving and quickly turn back on, and other times it would turn off when I would make a turn I took my car to my mechanic and they weren't sure what is wrong with it. They say it might be an electrical issue or the transmission, they also said that my axles are bad on my car. I only have a year with the car which I bought from enterprise car sales and it had 115k miles. Still too little for it to have that many problems.
The rear door locks on my vehicle fail to lock and unlock properly, especially using the power lock switches or key fob. This is not an occasional issue — it happens every single day. This is a major safety concern because the back doors often cannot be opened at all, which puts my children at risk of being trapped inside during an emergency or accident. In addition, the rear windows frequently get stuck and will not roll down. This is also a daily occurrence. It makes the problem even more dangerous because the windows cannot be used as an emergency exit if the doors fail. These issues are consistent and ongoing. Because the vehicle is used to transport children, the defective door locks and windows create a significant safety hazard that could prevent occupants from exiting the car quickly in an accident, fire, or similar emergency.
The car stalls while the vehicle is in motion and has difficulty starting. The car stalls each time after it comes to a complete stop at lights or a stop sign makes it very dangerous.
Battery died at 24,000 miles. Never had any issues until this.
On 10/28/2024 I was driving on a highway at 60 mph with light traffic. All of a sudden the radio display panel went blank and all the warning lights on dashboard lit up. The car started to slow down and did not gain speed even when gas pedal is pressed. Car speed went down to 40 mph. I put on hazard lights and looking for safe spot to park the car. I drove for 2 to 3 minutes and then dashboard warnings lights went out, radio came back and the car gained speed again. It drove normal again. This car has other issues as well such usb ports do not function.
Transmission began slipping in summer of 2023. Recall was already open on car and current when taken to dealership. Dealership refused to service, closed recall as corrected without inspecting the vehicle correctly. Transmission has gotten worse.
The car will not register the brake activation to be able to start the vehicle. Hence, we have a broken car that now doesn’t work.
I was driving in town, alternator decided to quit working, car went into limp mode on a busy street and I was nearly rear-ended.
My engine light came on I had it checked out and found out it was my mass air flow sensor. Is this a normal problem or is it related to the recall under electrical?.
Car won't start, stranded in parking lots, on road. Have seen hundreds of complaints about the same thing ,saying it's either a brake switch or ignition switch. Very scary to be stranded somewhere. Nissan is aware and said it's common problem? hard to believe Nissan or the NHTSA does not believe this to be a safety issue.

The door lock actuators on both of my rear doors suddenly no longer work. When I hit the button to lock all doors, only my 2 front doors lock. My cars 3 year warranty expired about 5 months ago and I have under 19,000 miles on the odometer. This is a safety issue. What if a carjacker walked up to my car while I’m in it, I lock the doors, and my back doors don’t lock. I could be killed. Not only that, but my car alarm does not even trigger when I open the back door after locking the car with my key fob!!! and, I cannot find any 3rd party manufacturers of the needed replacement parts for this issue!!! so Nissan makes additional money off customers who have no other option than to purchase their defective parts for replacement, and the owner remains stuck with the same defective oem parts after paying hundreds (thousands?) for the required repairs. So Nissan is incentivized to not fix this problem, as they instead make more money off of it. Do a quick google search and other 2020+ Sentra owners are experiencing the same issue. Unacceptable. Nissan needs to manufacture a replacement version of these door lock actuators that are not defective and issue a recall. Thank you for your time.
