Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator Problems of Nissan Sentra

Takata recall. Went to dealership to replace the recalled airbag. They inspected the airbag inflator, said it does not need to be replaced. They did not do any repair or replacement work on the takata airbag despite the fact that the recall notification stating that the Nissan dealer will replace the air bag inflator with a new one.

Takata recall. . . . . . Ive been advised by a class action lawsuit settlement notice that my vehicle may have inflators that are subject to recall but I havent heard anything from the manufacturer as to whether my specific vehicle is affected or not. I would like to be contacted to know whether or not my vehicle needs to be checked or repaired.

Tamara inflators. I have have my car since December 2016 and I have not been in any accidents and no problems with the car until last Friday my airbag light suddenly came on and it keeps flashing. It flashes from the moment I turn the car to the moment I turn it off even if sitting it park.

Takata recall received a letter stating that there aren't enough parts to replace the defective inflator for several months to a year and I am concerned about safety if in an accident.

Took this car into two Nissan dealerships after receiving a letter regarding the takata inflator recall, was denied both times at both locations that they would not work on my vehicle due to it being a rebuilt title, which I purchased this car from someone as is. Sent an email to Nissan's corporate headquarters and my case was never handled. Ive read of the fatalities due to this particular recall and I fear for me and my families safety. Please help.

Vehicle air bag inflator. Called lynn layton Nissan dealership in decatur al. To schedule replacement of air bag inflator on 06/29/15 due to recall. Arrived on appt. Date at dealership on wed. 07/01/15 after 4 hour wait only to discover that part was not available and that they would notify me when part was available.

Regional recall campaign for air bag inflator. This car was purchased in north carolina has been in used in exclusivity in florida, however Nissan refuses to include it in the recall. Since it has been exposed to the high level of humidity, that the recall is for I am very concerned.

I took my car in for NHTSA recall 13v-136 to premier Nissan of san jose, and the dealership service rep told me they inspected but did not replace the air bag. They claimed that they could tell whether or not the airbag needed replacement by inspection and that mine didn't need replacement. I am writing to see if it is appropriate that they did not replace my air bag, since the recall notice says "dealer will replace the affected front passenger air bag inflator with a new one. " my air bag light is on, and their diagnostic test indicated a fault with the passenger air bag. They were going to charge me around $800 to change the air bag, and I refused as I don't think I should pay for a defect that is due to the manufacturer.

I scheduled an appointment at tony Nissan in waipio, hawaii, oahu to fix the front passenger air bag inflator recall per the notice I was mailed. (NHTSA recall 13v-136). I was informed when I made the appointment and per the recall notice I was mailed that the repair would take less than one day. Tony Nissan informed me that recall repairs were done in the mornings only m-f, and my car would be ready for pick-up in the afternoon. When I arrived at tony Nissan, after having taken off work to do so, I was informed that the recall takes two (2) days to repair and I would have to bring my car back during another weekday, hence take off another day of work. I was also told I needed 4 new tires ($810) and a new battery ($172). I never requested those repairs and was pressured by the tony Nissan representative to make an immediate decision as they did not have my tires on-site and would have to order them. A red flag immediately went off, I told them I wanted to return and pick my car up and asked them when they would be done "looking at my airbag" to see if I needed the recall repair. I was told they had no idea and I would have to wait until they called me. This was after I was told by a rep when the service appointment was made that recall repairs were only done in the mornings and my car would be ready no later than early afternoon. I cancelled the appointment. My recall repair has yet to be repaired. I lost a day of work for nothing, and apparently will need to lose 2 more work days in order to have the repair completed. I am going to try to arrange the appointment at the only other Nissan dealership on the island and hope they will be professional.
