Warning Light On Problems of Nissan Sentra - part 1

1. Front passenger side seat fails to activate the air bag once a passenger has occupied the seat, and buckled up. The airbag "off" indication light remains illuminated at all times, and if it isn't being activated, may cause bodily harm, injury, or death to any passenger of the vehicle in the unfortunate event of a collision. Vehicle was requested to be checked out at lorenzo Nissan in ft. Lauderdale, FL in November 2023, but was refused. Front passenger seat, front passenger airbag, front passenger airbag indication light ••••••••••••••••••••••• 2. 2015 Sentra cvt transmission slips, shakes and stalls. On numerous occurrence this has caused near tragic collisions with multiple vehicles. One such instance forced the vehicle into 'limp mode' in a high speed area of a busy freeway and nearly caused numerous vehicles to collide into the stalled Sentra at rates of speed over 70 mph. Furthermore, the 2015 Sentra has an issue shifting from park, and will not move out of park, even with the brake applied, unless the gear release button is applied. Vehicle was requested to be examined by lorenzo Nissan in November 2023, but the dealership refused to inspect any possible safety or equipment issues without the promise of purchasing a new Nissan from their dealership. Powertrain, cvt transmission, automatic gear-shift indication, limp mode, no warning lights illuminated.

The air bag warning light pop on when I was stopping for red light. The car has not been in a crash ,fire , or flood. The air bag module must be a manufacturer problem, this is not no routine maintenance problem. There are other Nissan models with same problem. Please don't let manufacturers get away with this, it is putting me and my passengers in very high danger. This is a item only manufacturers have easy access to. I payed alot of money for vehicle, please add my vehicle for recall , there's no where else to turn to. Thank for your help and consideration.

The �occupant airbag sensor� is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. No matter the size or weight of the passenger, the occupant airbag remains off as indicated by the airbag warning light. This malfunction has been proven by computer error code at our local Nissan dealer (cannon Nissan service department 662-236-3300).

There's a yellow dashboard light and a red airbag warning light that stays on constantly when operating the vehicle. The lights stay on when there's an adult in the seat, too. Nissan says it's a sign of a faulty OCS and sensors. I just found there was a recall for this and I'm not sure the 1st owners had it checked and fixed. I'm a 2nd owner. Either way, it's a safety issue and extremely important. Similar recall was April 26, 2016 | recall 16v244000.

The red air bag warning light turns on displaying that the air bag is not engaged to deploy in the event of an accident. The air bag fuse is not worn. The seat belt buckle has already been replaced. All connections below the seats are connected. Sensors have not been activated as there have been no accidents. The air bag warning light will either be on at the car's ignition, or it may turn on after two or more miles while driving.

Airbag warning lights up repeatedly - system reset three times at dealer, and parts replaced. It is in shop for fifth time in a year! car is still under warranty - thinking about trading it in before the warranty expires.

Driver air bag module has a open circuit per local Nissan dealer. Estimate to replace is $1627. 63 air bag warning light constantly blinks while driving.

Took car to dealer as passenger side airbag warning light comes on sometimes when my wife is in passenger seat, dealer said no outstanding recall & no codes showed on their inspection. Said passenger must weigh at least 120 lbs which my wife does. This is a critical safety issue. Never had a problem in any other owned cars. I am sure there are many small women who weigh less than 120 lbs in this country. This needs to be fixed otherwise Nissan could be subject to a major lawsuit if serious injury or death as result of airbag not inflating.
