1 Trunk Wiring problem of the 1996 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 08/07/2017

All power lost, including engine, power brakes, and power steering while driving on city streets. Cause is an electrical connector on wiring harness intermittently causing an open circuit on a power wire. In particular, the faulty connector is e104 on the hec (the back of the fuse panel in driver side compartment). Failure occurs more often in hot weather. Failure has occurred twice while driving, and dozens of times when parked. Jiggling the connector often restores power. Also, a similar power wire open circuit occurs on another connector on the same hec that causes all lighting to the instrument panel and most interior lighting to fail. Failure has occured at night while driving on city streets, preventing the driver from seeing how fast they are traveling.

The contact owns a 1. 8 2006 Nissan Sentra. While driving 20 mph she heard a loud noise from the passenger side under the dashboard. The dealer replaced the power steering belt. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer, and was given case# 5685502. The failure mileage was 8,000. The current mileage was 9,000. The dealer stated trunk release inoperable from remote. The dealer replaced trunk lid opener actuator. 3 Trunk Wiring problem of the 2003 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 05/17/2004

I bought my car in may of 2004. Since then, the interior dash lights, tail lights and various fuses have blown at least 3 times each. Lights were replaced. The dealership said there was nothing wrong that they could find, and they had replaced the fuses. The very next day, the same fuses blew again. The dealership said there were no "open recalls" on my car. It is a 2003 Nissan Sentra se-r. The catalytic converter failed at approximately 29000 miles. This actually blew my engine, which dealership relaced. The fuse problem is still persistent.
