The vehicle in question is a 2004 Nissan Titan with approx. 36,000 miles of use on the vehicle. On several uses I heard 'clunking' noises from under the vehicle. On the last time before taking the vehicle to the dealer, the abs warning light illuminated and the 'clunking' noise was like a grinding noise also. The dealer told me the differential had failed and needed to be replaced. This part is an extremely important part of the vehicles ability to operate safely. This part failed with only 36,000 miles on it. Clearly it is a defective product and action to force the manufacturer to correct the problem to prevent serious injuries to others is required. The dealer also stated that the radiator had failed and replaced it without authorization. When questioned about this the dealer stated it was a crack in the seam.

Noticed fluid leaking around both rear tires , fluid coming from the vehicle. Nissan Titan does not even have 55k on it yet. This is the first time that I have noticed, but will it happen again I will follow up.
I own a 2005 Nissan Titan king cab, which I purchased it in November of 2005. After, approximately 30days of ownership and 500 miles of travel; the front brakes began to experience complications (they would shudder while braking and create an unreasonable amount of brake dust. ) I quickly return to my local dealership where I purchased it, for servicing. The Nissan dealership repaired the rotors. During the summer of 2006, I began to notice a musty odor emitting from the floor and carpeting of the passenger side. During a routine oil change and requested the mechanic to inspect the truck for the cause of the odor. They couldn't locate the source of the odor. I returned the truck to the dealership for the same problem on several other occasions, during the summer of 2007 odor reappeared; they replaced the rubber gasket around door windows in hopes of resolving the issue. Meanwhile the front brakes rotors were replaced again and the gauges (fuel, oil, tach ,voltmeter) acting erratically. The dealership repaired the brakes under my extended warranty & prorated my purchase of a new Nissan auto battery; according to service dept. This was the cause of the gauges malfunction. Then again in2008, I was told the brakes were no longer under warranty and that the musty odor was caused by water coming into the cabin via a small void in the window sealant around the "factory installed windshield upon hearing this, I chose to take my truck to another mechanic due to Nissan mechanic inability to resolve the brake issue & locate the source of the water. This year 2009, the rear end was repaired due the seals leaking on the driver's side and preventive replacement on the passenger seals. However, a few old issues along with new ones that still exist. My new mechanic told me the source of the water & odor issue is the a/c condenser leaking into the cabin, the blinking air bag indicator light was due to a harness needing replacing in the rear doors.
The contact owns a 20o5 Nissan Titan. While driving approximately 25 mph and accelerating from a complete stop, the engine stalled without warning. After waiting a few moments the engine was restarted. The failure recurred on a different occasion and the engine failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and they replaced the relay switch at the owner's expense. A recall notification was received two years later after the repair. The recall was associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 10v517000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact planned to notify the manufacturer to verify whether the vehicle was included in the recall. The failure mileage was unavailable.
My 06 Titan 4wd had just had repairs to the transmission done 2-3 days prior to the incident. My truck had been running in my driveway with the ac and radio going for some time while I was doing various cleaning and other stuff outside. I was sitting in the drivers seat cooling off with my eyes closed when my neighbor came running out screaming that my truck was on fire. When I looked at the hood flames were visible and smoke. She called the fire dept while I used the hose to extinguish the fire the best I could until the fire dept arrived. A Nissan rep investigated the fire and said it was not the company problem. Shortly later I receive the recall concerning the ac unit and that it may lead to fire. We had no insurance at the time but it was still under warranty. Is this legal?.
I bought a brand new 2008 Nissan Titan crew cab truck back in Sep 2007 no later then 3 months later it started to make a funny noise that I was uncertain of so I called the dealer ship immediately and made an appointment to get it looked at the first time was back in Dec 06,2007 left the truck in the dealers ships hands they had my vehicle for 2 days when I came back to pick up my truck Dec 08,2007 they had explained to me that they could not find the problem they explained to me that they did the 7,500 maintenance and also changed out my timing belts maybe that would be the issue so I took the truck home the next day the noise was still there so then I made another appointment the available appointment they had and was offered to me was April 11,2008 now this is when the 3,000 maintenance was due for a check up so I left my truck there again by the end of that day they called me up and said my truck was ready to be picked up so I went back that very day picked up my truck same thing maam we cant find the problem so now im irritating so I asked to speak to the service manager explained my situation and then again they made me another appointment to come back check my truck again so I made another appointment to get it looked at again. I brought my truck back in again to get it serviced may 02,2008 this time they changed out the coolant the oil the timing belt again so I picked my truck and still the next day its making noise but a little louder so then this all occurred within a couple of months apart not to mention I have all the receipts to prove my issue and I went again this past month oct 21,2008 to get it looked at again still yet cant find the issue they had explained to me that they changed out my air condition filter then they changed out the timing belt and not to mention they explained to me that they order another part to fix the problem that will make the noise stop but mind you this is the 4th time.

This is my 2nd Nissan Titan in less than 2 years! I traded in a 2005 with less than 20,000 miles because of 3 full tire set replacements and new brakes at 6,000 miles and problems that the dealer stated are currently fixed in the new 2007 models. My new 2007 at 1200 miles dealer replaced defective rims with a new set of defective rims that are a after market plastic hubcap glued to the steel rim which is clicking and popping while in motion and after 15 minutes driving when I park they still pop and click until they completely cool down which is about 30 minutes later. I also have the drivers side window go down by itself and stop exactly at 3 inches after I attempted to close it, my ac does not cool at all and often does not come on even when my gps screen says it is set on high and running I have to pull over turn off truck then restart truck to get ac to come on. Dealer says they cannot find the problem even though there is a TSB on it that I gave them! dealer said window problem is due to georgia heat, it is doing what it is suppose to do but my other 3 windows don't have a problem! my rims they stated that they want to put more glue a TSB tech to fix the problem! that is not a repair that is a band aid that will not hold with the heat tires put off! as of now I will never ever purchase any Nissan ever again and I will be buying new rims for my truck and Nissan consumer affairs has not helped at all what so ever only tell me to do the TSB glue repair and even though I paid 1800. 00 extra for chrome rim package they will not refund or purchase new rims at all so I am on my own.

So of these issues are just now popping. Only 2 of the issues have been taken care of. Per the dealership I would be contacted and have not received any calls to get these matters taken care of. I feel this vehicle is unsafe since the issues have not be addressed.
Brakes and rotors needed turned at 4. 000 miles and brake pedal going to the floor. . Drivers window not always working. . Antifreeze smell after driving.
