Issues with turbo actuator. The check engine light stays on and I've taken it to Nissan multiple times to diagnose but they want to change me diagnostic fee every time and still can't tell me what the issue is. The truck loses power while driving without any warning and goes into limp mode where it will not go past 5-10 mile per hour. According to boards and Nissan this is a very common problem with Nissan Titans with cummins that Nissan has failed to fix with recall. This is a huge safety issue and could cause loss of life as it has stopped on me on the interstate multiple times. Please fix this issue ASAP as it's been reported over the course of last few years and someone will lose their life over this huge issue.

Vehicle is terrible. Truck is in the shop every 2-3 months due to engine or electrical issues and constantly causing me hundreds if not thousands of dollars every time. I will never buy a Nissan product ever again.

I was driving down a main road by my office, accelerating when the car suddenly stalled. As the truck was independently decelerating, the steering wheel became hard to steer due to the truck being "off". I managed to force it to turn to a shoulder so as to not get rear ended by vehicles behind me. I could've been on the highway with traffic speeds up to 70mph and it would've been a different scenario. I later found out that the 1/4 fuel on the gauge was faulty and I was out of gas. I went to the NHTSA website to find out 2005 model Titans were included in the recall but not my 2004.

The vehicle will not move between lower level gears and will not accelerate when it is stuck. The vehicle will rev up very high but not switch gears even if you dig all the way in on the gas pedal. In fact, if you do that the engine makes a chirping noise. This defect prevented me from accelerating through an intersection and I nearly got hit by oncoming traffic. We have taken it to the Nissan dealership 3 times and they have said this is normal for this type of truck. We are taking this to an independent service center for a second opinion.

Unknown - while driving my vehicle several warning lights started popping up all at onces the lights on the dash where glitching. Then all the power to my dash an possibly other parts of vehicle lost connection. Vehicle wouldn't even show speed or what gear I was in. While I was driving with 2 small children in the truck. I immediately pulled over. I have since taken my vehicle to a dealership where it's been for a couple weeks. They where unable to give me an exact diagnosis so my warranty won't cover repairs yet. I now have to tow my vehicle 96 miles to a different dealership in hopes of getting it fixed. My 2017 truck will not even start now!!.

I the last 6 months the truck has the tcm replaced after leaving me stranded on the side of the road. Prior to completely going out the two dealers that looked at the truck said there was nothing wrong. The truck has had to be towed in three times to clear the transmission because it thinks it in park. This does not include the multilabel times of having to pulling off the road to shut the truck to reset the transmission. The high pressure fuel pump has gone out then five weeks later the low pressure fuel pump went out. Now a week later the ipdm went out.

My truck just stopped in the middle of the road while driving. I could not move the steering wheel and the engine would not turn over. The gas hand was registering a quarter of a tank of fuel so I did not think that I had run out of gas. After being towed to the shop the mechanic checked the vehicle and said that it was just out of gas but the gas gauge was still registering 1/4 of a tank of gas. Gas was put in the truck and it started right up. The mechanic informed me of a recall on the 2005 Nissan Titans that matched what was happening to my truck. When I informed Nissan they told me there is a recall but that my VIN number is not included in the recall. I have had the same incident where the truck just shut off 2 more times now and this should be covered by the Nissan recall since this is the exact problem that is happening to my truck that is stated in the recall and my truck is the exact year. Can someone please help me to get Nissan to honor this recall for my truck? recall id#68290.

The evap canister and control valve clogs with road dust/dirt. Fuel vapors have nowhere to exits the system and fuel will overflow when fueling the vehicle. Fuel vapors have no way to exit the tank when the fuel cap is in place, creating an over pressure. This condition exist on previous year models and Nissan has made recalls and fixes available.

Turbo problem caused me stop in the middle of the freeway with my children Nissan will be fixing this issue with out charging I seen a lot complaints about this same issue.

The digital readout for miles to empty never resets after a fill up and the fuel gauge takes an excessive amount of time to show full after a fill up. Not trusting what the fuel gauge says I have in the tank. Sound like the sending unit or the float is sticking but not accurate.

Please also reference ntb21-028, ntb21-073. The failed system appears to be the engine/transmission power control. My safety and passenger safety was at risk. A dealer did inspect in may of 2021 and was not able to duplicate and did not perform any corrective action. The problem is twofold. First the vehicle can fail to accelerate during a rolling stop (I. E. Entrance into a traffic circle) and because there is no power can roll slowly into oncoming traffic. Second, the vehicle can shift erratically and is slow to shift into the next gear (high rpm before shifting) and can sometimes flair during shifting. I am now aware that Nissan is and has been aware of this issue however this issue is not currently identified as a recall. Bottom line, I think the hesitation/delayed acceleration is a safety issue and wanted to be sure the NHTSA is informed. Thank you.

Faulty turbo actuator vehicle would stall stall without check engine light in traffic. I could cycle the key and vehicle would run again no check engine light. It did this at least 4-5 times in traffic and on freeways. Nissan also is not providing support as actuator was on back order for over 6 months. Vehicle stall I f with no warning and cycling key to restart. I replaced it and once had it repaired and vehicle still runs poorly.

Fuel lift pump premature failure. Losing prime and hesitation while pulling into traffic. Have had in dealership 3 times in the last 6 months for this issue. Diagnosis finally occurred after warranty period.

Vehicle was in motion when happened. The vehicle was already in movement for couple of hours. It have double diesel filters separator so this issues not supposed to happens. Not towing or anything just traveling true states.

I was involved in a car accident where someone was hurt. I own a 2017 Nissan Titan xd with 75000 miles. I was taking a left turn at a yellow light, I slowed down and then tried to speed up. The accelerator will not respond for 3-4 seconds when I do this, it has been this way since I bought it. Looking online it is a common issue. However this time I could not move fast enough and an Audi slammed into my passenger side because I couldnt move. The kid in the Audi was injured and his car is totaled. Mine was repaired by my insurance. My airbags also failed to deploy. I have back problems and still have a really bad headache and have not seen a dr, but want to. I also noticed a smell or odor in the cabin. Looking at the forums, it is another issue with this truck and is a major health concern. I called Nissan and when I give them my VIN# they hang up on me. I finally got through after saying I might contact an attorney. They said they created a case #. I want to know if I have a case for a lawsuit and I really want a truck that wont kill me or cause bodily harm. I paid a ton of money for this vehicle and it is a complete safety and health hazard.

Once while driving, the vehicle shut of with out notice. There is some hesitation occasionally while driving and has also stopped running while sitting still. Took it to a Nissan dealer and paid to have a diagnostics test and they said nothing could be found. I don't know if it's electrical or fuel components. No engine light comes on the instrument panel.

1. The vehicle had to be braked hard on the highway to avoid a car that failed to yield while merging. The other vehicle then braked hard and I attempted to accelerate to get in front but the vehicle would not respond to the gas pedal. The engine did not shut off, but the truck would not rev the rpm's or have any response to the gas pedal for about 3 seconds. Luckily a collision did not occur. 2. While taking a right hand turn onto a steep incline drive from a highway the truck once again would not respond to the gas pedal. The truck was just sitting on the incline for about three seconds before it responded to the gas pedal and climbed the hill. There was a vehicle following behind into the drive and had to stop to avoid colliding into my rear end as the truck would not go for a few seconds. I am not exactly sure how to describe these two incidents other than it is a "dead pedal" for several seconds when propulsion is truly needed.

Bought truck new in 6/2018 . Truck is new 2017 leftover Nissan Titan diesel xd with 16,000 miles to date. When truck goes into regen to clean diesel particulate heavy diesel exhaust fumes fill the cabin so bad you have to roll the windows down. It causes my stomach to become upset and dizzy tired feeling and later a very bad headache. Have had coworkers experience the same issue while in the vehicle. Has been replicated at the dealer and service tech and service manager are out of ideas on how to fix this but confirm the issue exist. Dealer service manager has read about this but never has heard of a fix through Nissan. Nissan is sending in and engineer to look at the issue but comment made from service manager is he has heard about the situation through Nissan network but never has heard of a fix for it. Truck is still in warranty but not worth continuing to be sick or possibly pass out from it. Please be very aware of this issue and report any exhaust diesel smell to your dealer and elevate it. This is an extremely dangerous health and safety hazard. You should not smell any exhaust or diesel fumes in a vehicle. Hoping this site takes note of the many other folks on forums mentioning it and elevate it to Nissan. Hoping Nissan fixes or gives me my money back as the truck makes me feel sick.

When accelerating from a stop or slow speed truck lugs out, long hesitation from pressing accelerator to actually kicking in , then it takes off like a rocket. Had it in to dealership and they couldn't duplicate the issue . Asked them if took it on the freeway or hard acceleration from a stop? said no roads were wet and didn't feel comfortable doing that. As my commuter vehicle that is how it is driven. As soon as I leave the dealership to get on a very busy road . Either way for ever or accelerate hard to get out in front of traffic. It lugged out then and getting on the freeway to get home.

Every time I put gas on the vehicle in overflows. This happens every time as soon as I begin to pump gas, even when car is empty.

I'm writing to make aware of the delay in acceleration of my 2016 Nissan Titan xd. On several occasions I have either tried to pull into traffic or make a left hand turn and have had no power due to a delay in the turbo kicking in. It's quite scary. Hopefully this can be addressed and corrected. Thank you, mark archer.

I merging into highway traffic and lost most all engine power. I pulled over onto side of highway and looked under hood and under truck for signs of why. I saw a waterfall of fluid gushing off of transmission case. Smelled diesel fuel I turned off engine and called a tow truck. I had several gallons of fuel that had poured out of injector that came loose and over engine and transmission. Truck was towed to dealers. This could have been a deadly incident in two ways for passengers and other drivers on highway. Temperature was 90 plus degrees and sunny. Very hot.

When I try to accelerate from a stop in my 2019 Nissan xd there is a considerable lag in time from when I press the accelerator and when my truck begins to move. It makes it unsafe when trying to merge into traffic.

Vehicle won't properly accelerate especially when making turns. Vehicle is ventilating diesel exhaust gases into cabin when heating or cooling system is on.

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that their exhaust manifold is rusted. The rust made a crack in the contact's exhaust and it's now damaged. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and they provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 147,000. Jw.

Diesel fumes in cab, Nissan is aware of problem but will not fix due to vehicle being out of warranty, even extended warranty will not cover part needed to keep fumes out of cabin area. This is a major hazardous effect, could cause carbon monoxide poison while driving, or in idle, causes headaches, nausea, this happens after driving even short distances and especially when stopping for lights or stop signs, even on interstates after exiting,.

When accelerating the vehicle gets stuck at apx 30rpm. It will stop complete acceleration for apx a minute and then will pick up speed. This continues to happen and has almost put me in two accidents getting hit at intersection and entering on to a ramp, and stalling in traffic on a busy street. I have reported to west texas Nissan and corporate. The vehicle was returned once to me without correcting it and it did it again with a mechanic test driving with me. It is currently in dealership again for the last 40 plus days with them saying they cant detect what it is. I would mention a new engine had to be replaced on this truck with in a month of new purchase. This issue is a safety concern yet Nissan continues to say they cant pick up a code for it. I have videos of it happening and a Nissan mechanic that drove it with me.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,950. Dr.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while driving at speeds above 40 mph the vehicle would begin to shutter violently and makes it difficult to control the vehicle. The vehicle's rpms would reduce to about 40 mph, where it would begin to drive normally. The vehicle was repaired three times, however, the failure reoccured after each repair and is still an issue presently. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. I took my truck to youngblood Nissan in springfield and they said that they cant fixed my recall because of the lines were rusted something like that and is going to charge me 1200. 00 but the recall should coverit.

It will crank but will not start.

Raw gas smell exists interior and exterior to the truck. Dealer says a leak has developed in the fuel line. Dealer wants $1200 to $1500 to replace gas line. The leak makes the truck too dangerous to drive. Other Titan drivers are reporting the same problem on the internet. Nissan customer service has declined to help saying they are unaware of problem. My concern are the safety issues associated with gasoline leakage.

My diesel Titan has a dangerous excelleration problem. I hit the pedal to change lanes when in traffic or when trying to merge onto a street there is a huge delay before it kicks in. I communicated through forums and online to see I am not the only complaint . The answer from Nissan is it is by design? how is this a safe design?.
