1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2020 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 02/12/2021

The vehicle was stationary, it will not start, it will not turn on. None of my lights have been left on, nothing has been plugged in. The first time I had it jumped it started and turned on. The belt was making a high pitched squealing noise. After it was initially jumped and after it was on & drove around & put back in park and turned back off. It no longer would start. I have tried to have it jumped again & it would not jump. I am concerned with the engine and fuel system. When I've tried to turn it on and it wouldn't it made sort of like a gargling noise after I had hit the start button as well as the gauges coming very slightly & shaking.

3 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2016 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 07/07/2019

Trying to leave for work, turn on my car and then there was a squeal (like a belt) and then the engine shut off, not the car (battery is working). I do this about three times to see if maybe the gas needed to be pressed or if the car needed to be in gear, same thing happened. I call my father for advise, and I wanted him to hear the noise before the shut off, so I turn off the radio, ac, everything. Then the car starts and stays on. Turns out that if I had the fan going it was shutting off the engine. I take it to sisk Nissan and they inspect, say first that its the condenser and after the part is ordered and the car taken apart they say that the whole ac system is contaminated. The compressor had stopped working. One week without ac and one week in the shop to replace the whole ac system.

4 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2014 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 12/09/2017

I went to pick up my daughter from daycare on day in December 2017. I stopped at a stoplight and when it turned green I went to accelerate and my car would barely creep, I barely made it through a turn light and close to getting hit. I could barely get up to 15mph. I ended up taking it to a shop and was told a pulley broke on the transmission! it supposedly caused shrapnel to shoot into the transmission and told could of gotten into the motor! so I was told $4000 for a rebuilt transmission. The shop put me through the ringer! they told me it was fixed and it wasn't!! it was not shifting right! then I was told they would put in a new transmission at no extra charge. Then I ended up getting ahold of them the next day and they told me no doubt it is fixed and that they ended up not putting in a new transmission after they read up on it. I ended up having the car towed because it wasnt fixed! then they put in a new one finally at no charge and it was fine. Took 4 times!! two weeks later and it starts burning a gas/rotten egg sulfur smell. Then I finally notice oil leaking out from under my car. From what I was told I have a blown head gasket!!! I am angry to say the least!!1 I spent all my savings and now have to find a way to get a new car and I doubt I can pay to fix this problem!!!.

5 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2013 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 01/21/2017

I was drviing my car on greenbelt rd, MD, and noticed s stange low noise or sputtering. . Of some ssort. I decided to stop the car. . . However car did nto stop. . . I put in park, turned engine off. . . Did not stop. . . I uesed emergency brake. . . Did not stop. . . I felt it accerelated on its own. . And had loss of brake effectiveness. I sounded the horn loudly to warn people. But the car kept going and going. I am a single mom, and my child was with me. . . For safety of life and property. . . I intentionally drove into a ditch. I felt like it was an unintentional acceleration and loss of brake effectiveness issue. I have called Nissan consumer affairs to report it, and my car is now at the dealership . I am not an expert. I need for a safety investigation into my vehicle by an independent agency other than Nissan. I am still shaken. .

6 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 08/29/2011

The Nissan dealers say that the change of speed in this car cannot be felt, and so does the tv commercial. It isn't true. It is a danger in the streets. Everytime I go to the expressway I have to make sure that there isn't a car any close to be able to enter because when you try to speed a bit, it restrain itself and I already got scared with this experience. Even when you are in the city and you try to speed a bit to change lane, you can feel that in most of the cases it won't let you do it inmediately. I don't know how this car have been approved with 5 stars by the american government as the dealers say. Besides, the driver's seat belt won't go all the way, and you can see that after few blocks driving, it loose a bit more. I bought this car for my teenage daughter, but I cannot put this danger in her hands. I hope I get advisors that help me to get my money back or to be able to change this car and not loosing 5000 as the Nissan proposed me. Unfortunately I cannot afford it anymore.
