Engine Noise Problems of Nissan Versa

After receiving many calls and letters for air bags recalls, I set an appointment with the agent josh for Thursday July 16, 2020 at performance Nissan at 1345 south federal highway, pompano FL 33062, at 7:30 am. When talking with josh, he told me that there are two recalls in my Nissan. I asked him to do both recalls at the same time. He said both recalls could take one hour. We set the appointment and he gave me the phone to talk to performance Nissan for confirmation. On Thursday July 16, 2020, I went to the appointment. It took me ,more than three hours at the place. However, at the end they told me they did one recall, and they ordered the parts for the other recall, which part they will have in three days. When they gave the car, I felt that it did not sound as it used to before the recall. The ac did not work perfectly, but I thought that was because they did not finish with the air bag recall. On Friday July 17, 2020, my wife drove the car to work as it is her car. But when she came back, she told me that the car had problems and she did not want to drive it again. I said to her that the problem is because they did not complete the recall. On Wednesday July 22, 2020, my wife told me to drop her at work. I took the car, and when I started it I felt the car was making noise and shaking. For I did not drive it , and I saw at that time that my wife was in danger while driving the car. After I dropped her at work, I called perfprmance Nissance to report that they damaged my car while performing the air bags recall. They called me to drive the car to them for diagnostic. I told them that they must send someone to tow the car. They instead gave me a phone number to call for pick up the car. They picked up the car by 3;00 pm. Car shakes when accelerating above 40mph. Engine sounds rough. Has stalled a couple of times when parking. I brought the car in to have 2 recalls fixed. A center console moulding trim and a cvt software upgrade. I explained the problem with the engine when I brought it in and was told that they would check it out. I was told by the 1st dealership that there were no apparent problems while driving the car. The problem got worse immediately. I called the dealership back and was told that the car was not inspected and that there would be a $200 inspection fee. I immediately called Nissan consumer affairs. The car is only 5 years old and of course the warranty just ended in February 2018. I took the car to a 2nd dealership and was told the transmission was failing and given an estimated price of a rebuild and a new transmission. Consumer affairs told me that the car needs further inspection to determine what is wrong with the transmission. They will not tell me if they plan on covering the cost of this inspection. I though the car was already inspected a couple of times. I'm getting inconsistent conflicting information about what I'm told was done to the car and what needs to be done. Meanwhile the car is getting worse and I still have 3 years left on the auto loan. I've read on several websites that other Nissan Versa owners are have the same problems. I was told by my car friend that they are notorious for transmission problems at an early age and by the 2nd Nissan dealership that the transmission should not have gone out so soon. To say I'm beyond frustrated is an understatement.

When I accelerate my car makes a pinging noise,like the ball in a spray can. The dealer checked the car and said they heard no pinging sound. This was about 4 months ago. Still doing the same thing. Changed the plugs,and using hi-test gas now, but same thing. Anyone have a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

Last night suddenly on the highway I-95 it lost a power. To be more exact, it seemed like transmission stuck on the high (4th) gear. On parking or neutral gear positions when I press gas pedal, engine reacts and increases rpms, makes noise, etc but when on the drive position, it barely moves, like if you try to start from 4th or 5th gear. This morning I brought it to the autonation pembroke pines Nissan dealership (pembroke pines, FL). After inspection they gave me the such a surprising conclusion: problem with tail light caused mis-functioning of transmission. And the taillight was functioning well, not damaged. But they told, his electric resistance was wrong. After replacing the tail light transmission started working. It's really very hard to believe, that misfunctioning (wrong electrical resistance) of the tail light can affect the primary functionality of the vehicle, which could really cause an accident and injuries or even loos of life. .
