Passenger air bag problem.
Takata recall. I have been trying for a year to get this recall taken care of. My vehicle needs the module and it is unavailable. I have had it to the dealership and they determined that it requires the part, but they can't get the part so my car is sitting with expired inspection now and I can't drive it. I think gm is not intending to make this part available but htey don't want anyone to know that.
Faulty passenger presence air bag module at 10,264 miles.
At about 31,000 miles while driving down the road with a passenger the airbag off light flashed on and off several times finally ending up off with a service airbag message. Was traveling about 65 miles per hour on freeway.
Air bag activation is malfuctioning. The passenger airbag is designed to activate when someone sits in the seat. It is not doing so.
Takata recall. The air bag service light came on. My vehicle has that device and it is not included on the recall. I would like to know if and when this will be added to the recall. If not I need to know the reason why not for my lawyer. I understand its going to cost me $1000. 00 to replace their defective device. Please let me know. Thank you. I got the check airbag. Took to chevy dealership. Repalaced under " good will". 33k on my odometer. 46k on my odometer it is back again called gm. They know it is defective but because a qtyy of people have not die yet they are doing a recall.
My passenger pressance control module came on after my passenger leaned forward in my car while at a stop light. It now comes on everytime I start my car whether I have a passenger or not.
Sometimes the passenger airbag does not turn on when there is an adult person seated in the seat. Also has an oil leak at the differential.
The passenger air bag sign says off can not reset,.
My passenger pressance control module came on after my passenger leaned forward in my car while at a stop light. It now comes on everything I start my car whether I have a passenger or not. My local GMC quote 889 to fix this and even he said that's pretty expensive (note that the quoted price included labor).
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Sky. Immediately after starting the vehicle, the air bar light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the air bag module was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.
Initial incident occurred while I had a passenger in the front right seat driving at 35 mph. Three beeps from and a 'service air bag' warning message displayed on my dash. After stopping and shutting off my car, the warning did not appear when I started it again. Exactly two weeks later, the same thing happened again when riding with a passenger, but this time the warning did not go away after restarting my vehicle. Now, the warning comes up every time I start my vehicle. This is a known issue with Saturn Sky and pontiac solstice models. As it relates to passenger safety, should immediately be recalled.
Car indicated that the air bags were not functioning.

Upon entering the vehicle on Friday, may 16th, 2014 I noticed the service airbag soon light and notification were displayed on the dic. After startup and vehicle system check the lights remained on and will not go out.
2007 Saturn Sky 25000 miles I just took my Sky into the dealer for the ignition recall, and while there I had them run diagnostic test on my airbag system at the cost of 113 dollars. It had code b0081 ( passenger present module failure). This I expected from reading all the other complaints that have been filed. I have read complaints on other Saturn forums, where some people have had this problem repaired at their own expense (1000 dollars), just to have it return in less than a year. I don’t think the public should have to pay such an expense for a safty problem that should be handled as a safety recall. There has been several complaints filed on this same problem.

My granddaughter entered the passenger side of my Saturn Sky with her knees first on the seat and the air bag warning is now lit. I see on line hundreds of these same complaints and yet no recalls. More off our government not protecting its citizens.
Nothing happen not sure why the light is on. My daughter has not had an accident.
