The contact owns a 2002 Saturn Vue. The contact stated while
driving at speeds of 25 mph, the instrument panel indicated that the vehicle was running hot. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop. The mechanic advised the contact that the vehicle had not run hot and instead, the instrument panel had malfunctioned and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer confirmed the failure. There were no recalls and any repairs would be at the owners expense. The failure mileage was 68,163.

: the contact stated while driving 35mph on the highway, the vehicle's interior filled with smoke and the instrument panel failed to illuminate. The contact managed to pull over without incident. There was a large amount of gray smoke, but no actual flames were seen. The smoke stopped after the ignition was turned off. Afterwards, the contact drove the vehicle to the dealership for inspection who determined the lighting fuse had blown. After replacing the fuse, the instrument panel failed to illuminate again. The manufacturer was alerted.
