1 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2006 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 01/19/2016

When it is cold, it is very difficult to turn the key in the ignition. Its takes approx. 30-45 minutes to try and get the key to turn over. Also, once the car is on it is extremely easy for the key to come out of the ignition while the car is running. My transmission also shakes uncontrollably in the park of brake position. When going up and hills or driving on rough roads my speed decreases with out my control. My check engine light comes on at least once a month. I have had to go it checked but, was told that the problems they are mentioned are not problems at all and they can not understand why the engine light keeps coming on.

2 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2004 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 05/13/2015

I recently experienced a transmission vibration or shaking motion (judder or shudder) while driving at speeds between 20 and 45 mph. Gm has issued customer satisfaction program recall 10285 - v2386 in February 2001 for this exact same problem but it only covers 2005, 2006 and 2007 Vues. The recall reprograms the power train control module to correct the problem. The exact same engine/transmission is used in the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Vues yet gm has chosen to ignore 2004 Vue owners with the problem. The 2004 Saturn Vue with the Honda supplied engine/auto transmission has this problem and gm needs to reprogram the 2004 power train control module as they have done with the other model years.

3 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2004 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 03/04/2011

My 2004 Saturn Vue awd, equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission (engine/transmission supplied to gm by Honda) has 44,550 original miles on the odometer when I recently experienced a transmission vibration or shaking motion (judder or shudder) while driving at speeds between 20 and 45 mph. Gm has issued customer satisfaction program recall 10285 - v2386 in February 2001 for this exact same problem but it only covers 2005, 2006 and 2007 Vues. The recall reprograms the powertrain control module to correct the problem. The exact same engine/transmission is used in the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Vues yet gm has chosen to ignore 2004 Vue owners with the problem. I have written to gm's customer & relationship services but their only reply is "your VIN is not covered". Someone needs to force gm to acknowledge the 2004 Saturn Vue with the Honda supplied engine/auto transmission has this problem and make them reprogram the 2004 powertrain control module as they have done with the other model years.

4 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 01/01/2010

2003 Saturn Vue-transmission grinds. It takes several attempts to start the vehicle and when it does start, it stalls going into drive. Can drive in reverse without any problems but car will not immediately drive when put in "drive. " it can be anywhere between a 30 second to 3-5 minute delay before the car will actually drive. The transmission has now been replaced 3 times since 2004 due to other defects (jerky gear shifting, stalling for several seconds). Each time the car works for a little while (a year or so) but the jerking begins again. This last transmission is the absolute worse! though I'm required to put an approximate incident date, this problem has been ongoing since my purchase in 2004. The stalling of it going into drive just started 2010.

5 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2005 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 02/25/2009

The contact owns a 2005 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the transmission failed twice while merging into traffic at various speeds. Before the failure, the transmission made a grinding noise. The vehicle was unable to be driven and was towed to the dealer. The dealer stated that a new transmission was needed. Three months prior to the most recent failure, the dealer claimed to have installed a new transmission in the vehicle; however, the failure recurred and the consumer had a crash. The consumer hit the side of a tunnel. The failure mileage was 59,000. Updated 4/14/09 the consumer did not state if she reported it to the police. Updated 04/17/09.

6 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 08/02/2004

Vehicle would decelerate while driving from a stop postion, and transmission would make a grinding noise. Dealer was notified.

7 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 04/08/2004

Twice (July/2003 and April/2004) my Saturn Vue vti transmission has failed. In April, the transmission failed in highway driving. Was moving along about 55 mph in moderate state highway traffic and the transmission started grinding and vehicle lost all power. Was not able to recover any power. In 2003, I was able to drop the shifter into a lower gear (I) which increased power to the point where I could control vehicle. Saturn's solution is to extend warranty but I have real concerns.

8 Transmission Shudder problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 12/23/2002

The transmission mount didn't fit the transmission and engine completely. As a result, the transmission and engine vibrated. The transmission had made a knocking sound which had come from the catalytic converter heat shield. When the vehicle was driven down an incline, it would make a noise. (michael livingston is the second consumer in reference to this complaint) ts scc.
