The dealer stated that they would return the vehicle and wanted to charge the contact to tow the vehicle back to him. The manufacturer offered to possibly reimburse the contact for the towing cost. The contact felt that he was getting the run around and was out of a vehicle for a week. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Takata recall. We got a recall notice from Subaru, recall tkb19, stating that no passengers should be allowed to ride in the passenger seat until the repair is performed. However, the only Subaru in the raleigh area said the earliest the repair could be done was in August; I called late in March. My wife rides in the passenger seat, so now we cannot use the vehicle, which is not acceptable, what can be done to get Subaru to either perform the repair soon or provide a loaner meanwhile ? thanks.

Recall notice indicates that �until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to tide in the front passenger seat. � I called the dealer, beard Subaru, as soon as the notice arrived but was told there was a waiting list and I would have to wait until may. That puts my vehicle out of service for at least two months!.

Takata recall. Received letter stating air bag recall for the passenger side frontal air bag on march15th. Called ramsey Subaru on route 17 in ramsey NJ where I bought the car and was told that I could not have the recall fixed until September 2019. In my mind that is not a resonable amount of time given that fact that I cannot have a passenger in my car.

I had an accident with my 2017 Subaru Legacy and initially saw a deer to my left and tried to steer slightly right. Next thing I know the cops are there and took me to hospital. They said the car went over an embankment. It had massive damage and after two months in shop, still pulls to the right. I never received a recall on this car but it was sending me messages through starlink saying there was a power steering problem. I will try to attach that screen shot. Also the dealer that sold us the car has been no help at all. The car was driving and in motion. No air bags deployed either.

Takata recall auto accident front driver side crushed up to firewall and no airbags went off , zero ! wife leg was badly brused because of this ! auto was in motion at 25 miles a hour at a intersection going straight ahead was hit on driver front from side by cross traffic.

There was a recall with this model and year and they told me my car wasn't included in the recall when its doing exactly what the recall was for. I have no horn, cruise control, no radio controls and I don,t know if the air bag works. This car is dangerous to drive and Subaru refuses to repair I was told it would be $200. Plus just to diagnose it when they already know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

The vehicle slammed into a snowbank due to icy conditions. The front of the car was significantly damaged, but the airbag did not inflate upon impact.

The contact owned a 2011 Subaru Legacy. While driving 75 mph, the contact took his eyes off the road and crashed into a retaining wall. The front driver's air bag deployed and pinned his head between the driver's window and air bag. The occupant sustained a knot on his head, which required medical attention. Takata recall I have o notices from courts that my car is equipped with these defective airbags. I called my dealership, hansel Subaru in sana rosa, CA, and was told "there are a lot of scams going around. " I was told there is no recall, which NHTSA confirms,and to call Subaru America, which gave me a recorded message full of legal gibberish. I feel I am driving around in a dangerous car, and no remedy is available. Somebody has to do something that makes sense!.

Takata recall no problem yet, but received a card in mail requiring registration re bankruptcy to protect my rights!.

10/162017 - I was walking down the street to meet my wife for dinner after parking my car. As I watched her pull into the parking lot in front of me in the Legacy I saw the windshield get blown out by the passenger airbag being deployed. She was stopped waiting for traffic on a city street to clear to pull in and was not moving very fast at all, approx 5 mph. Luckily no one was in the passenger seat and my wife sustained minor injuries from flying glass. After inspecting the vehicle the following day our mechanic said he believed that the airbag recall # 96v315000 performed on 12/11/1998 apparently was not performed properly and he suspected that the poorly removed tow-hook was not cut off short enough (not to the recall spec) to prevent accidental inflation of the airbag. I believe that the remaining stub of the tow-hook may have impacted the driveway as she pulled in deploying the airbag, we contacted Subaru and they basically said it was not their problem. I had owned the car for not even a year yet back in 2012, and the only accident I've ever been in happened on my way to school(college). The air bag did not come out of the steering wheel, but should have. Luckily I only experienced mild whip lash, and very large body shop bill. Also when they finally brought me in to get it replaced this past summer(2017) they pushed my car around the lot, and messed up my transmission amongst some other things. But when I asked the technicians about it, they got defensive, and denied any claim of wrong doing.

Takata recall -- received notice ~ August 12 of settlement in a class action lawsuit alleging Subaru manufactured and sold vehicles that contained allegedly defective airbags made by takata. Nothing has happened to the vehicle, but the notice suggested a recall may be issued.

This system says my car is 2003 Subaru Legacy. This is not correct. My car is a 2003 Subaru outback and has been recalled at least once. The VIN as entered is correct.
