My car has been driving normally. I keep up with maintenance. I turned on the car and started driving like normal. No lights were on. As I got on the highway the airbag light turned on. It has not turned off since.

When im doing a light acceleration from 20 to 50 mph there is a shuddering vibration from the transmission that vibrates the car. I have to come off of the accelerator pedal and press harder just to stop the shudder and vibration. My airbag light is on and stays on constantly.

My airbag light turned on in my car. I took it to the dealer and they said that water was leaking from the hvac system onto the airbag control unit and shorting it out. This was because the drain from the hvac system was clogged and condensed water was not draining out onto the ground as designed. Instead, it built up and then leaked onto the airbag control unit. This exact problem was recalled on other model years of Toyota Camrys.

Air bag off indicator when passenger is present, called Toyota, they informed me there was a limited service campaign that had expired, and did not off to correct the problem as there was no recall. I believe this is a safety issue with hundreds of thousands of Camry's after doing some research, why not classified as a recall.

My air bag light has been on, on my dash for about 2 months now. I see no recalls, but researched it. Looks like my airbags aren't working properly.

At 50000 miles there was a plastic crunching sound in the steering column. The air bag light went on. Over the next couple of weeks there was more crunching and lost the cruise control followed by the horn and radio controls. The phone function was the last to go on the steering wheel. This is a safety issue and my airbag and horn do not work due to a faulty part that Toyota is well aware of. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Frequently, the indicator for the passenger air bag says "off", even when someone is sitting in the seat. Occasionally it says "on" when there is no one in the seat.

Yesterday while driving the vehicle on city streets with my wife on the passenger seat the passenger "air bag off" light came on and stayed on. The car has 78,131 miles on the odometer. The Toyota owner's manual states that the "air bag off" indicator means that the passenger air bag system is disabled. I checked on the internet and found that there are many complaints about this problem but I did not see that Toyota has taken any action. Obviously, this is a serious safety issue that should be addressed before someone get injured or killed. If there is a recall now or in the future, please let me know.

I don't see how they can skirt their responsibility. They were the last ones dealing with the airbags and maybe what they did was not a complete fix. I showed the leesburg, virginia Toyota on 6/29 at 1030am and they said it would be $44. 00 to get it checked! why making money on Toyota issue. There is no horn after the air bag light came on so I called conicelli Toyota in springfield PA, but they said only passenger side airbags were a problem so I would have a 115. 00 dollar charge plus labor & parts so I can not pay that now so he said just call back when you can? & hung up well the airbag didn't just light up for no reason? I am the only driver & the only passengers ever are my grandchildren!! I only get ssdisabilty so I guess I will have to drive it the way it is?.
