I have a 2009 Camry that I leased on 3/8/19. On 10/9/19 I was involved in an accident, not cited, the car that hit me from the rear doing 90 mpm upon inpact pushed in from south bound to east bound. I was then hit on right front side by an 18 wheeler and had 4 radial fractures on my left arm; my left hand flipped over backwards on my forearm and bones protruded from each side of arms. Not one airbag was deployed from the inception of the accident to the accident on my arm. I now have a totaled Camry; I had surgery on my left arm two days later, lost of wages and disabled on my left side. Toyota is not taking any responsibility for this situation as if the airbags had deployed; I would not have this radial fracture, which is what I was paying for by leasing this Toyota Camry 2019. I need help. I have pictures of the outside of the car as well as inside the car showing no airbags deployed.

I have a 2003 Toyota, Camry with 50,000 miles on it that has been well maintained (at my expense at the local dealership where I purchased it). I live in oregon where we have seasons so it only gets hot a few months out of the year and I use a sun visor during the summer for protection. In the front passenger side of my car where the airbag is in the dash, the rectangular indentation (like a seam) around the airbag has completely separated at the top exposing yellow foam and has me very concerned about the safety of any passengers or even myself or others on the road should the airbag deploy. My father is terminally ill with cancer and only weighs about 115 pounds and I have to drive him to doctor appointments regularly. I was so concerned when I first noticed what I call a "design flaw" that I made him ride in the back seat. However, since he is so thin, he was very uncomfortable in the back and wanted to ride in the front seat again which I allowed him to do after the local dealership in medford (lithia motors, inc) guaranteed me "100%" that this is not a safety issue but is purely cosmetic. I have provided proof of similar complaints to lithia and have spoken to Toyota corporate a few times. They still insist it is only cosmetic and I am responsible for replacing the entire dash at a cost of over $2,000. 00. I maintain this is a safety issue and if they can afford to spend a million dollars a day on safety (per their advertisements) and are spending even more on pr, they can do a "good will" repair for a loyal customer. To their credit, I should add that they were willing to pay 50% to repair the dash, but it was determined to be "unrepairable" by their upholstery person. I have been going back and forth with them for months now. I am a very principle based person and believe this is wrong considering the age, mileage, etc and should be corrected at their expense especially when others have reported the same problem. Does customer service still exist??.

My 2007 Toyota Camry xle was in a serious accident this past week. My son was driving and the rear abruptly went to the right and he lost control and skidded across a road into a soft shoulder/embankment causing significant damage to the front of the vehicle, the car then flipped/rolled over landing on it's roof. There ended up being substantial damage to most of the vehicle. Upon inspection of the vehicle by us on the following day we did notice that the right rear tire had blown out, I assume this caused the abrupt veering to the right described above. My son had his seat belt on and luckily had only minor injuries. My concern/question is why the air bags did not go off. This includes the ones built into the front pillars and those on the side designed to protect the occupants head and arm, etc. Btw: this vehicle was recalled for the defective gas pedal/floor mats and was scheduled to have the recall/repair completed on 7/29/10. Photo's were taken by him of the damage.

I was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry. I had an accident as I moved to curb and hit a tree. I was moving at 20-25 miles per hour. The airbags got deployed and with a huge force. The airbag in the steering caused severe damage to my fingers causing multiple fractures and multiple stitches.

Last week my daughter was in a car accident and the front of her vehicle was pretty damaged, she was then slammed into the side rail on the freeway, but no aibags deployed. I am not sure why these airbags did not go, her car is now considered totaled. The car she was driving was a 2009 Camry. Considering this accident could have been fatal I am wondering why nothing happen when the car went in to a car/side rail. . Both from the front.

We have a 2002 Toyota Camry with a 2. 4 liter engine with a 38, 900 miles in the odometer. And on March 4, 2010 my wife came home from a the grocery store asked me to check the car because of the check engine light iis on. I drove the car for a test drive around our neighborhood for five minutes with the speed of 10 miles to 15 miles an hour. Before I came to the stop sign, the engine start racing, rpm is up the red line, I could hear the engine roar. I step on the brake hard, shift the gear hard into park and turn off the ignition. I was so lucky, I was driving in the right place and the right time with no traffic and kids playing on the street. If my wife would be driving at that moment especially she is an elderly like me, it could be big accident. It's a terrifying experience. I suggest that 2002 Camry should be included in the recall. Before somebody gets hurt. That same day I called Toyota dealership for service appointment.

The accident occurred on the 5 freeway going from northern California to southern California, on the grapevine. It was rainy out and during the time of the incident the rain was just softening up. In the far left lane I driven my vehicle at about 55 - 60mph, speed limit was at 65mph. I begin to slow down, and while doing so the car begins to swerve and not react to my brakes. It then turns out to the next lane and begins spinning about 4 times while I pull up the emergency brakes. No car collision happened, but it was headed straight towards the guard rail, where it then hit the left front of the car and then the side left of the car and back left of the car. The car finally braked, with damage to the front, side left, and back of vehicle, blown out both back tires, wouldn't turn on, & no air bags deployed. The accident caused damaged to the vehicle and cracked pavement as well as moved guard reel affected area about a foot in. Passenger had head, neck and back injuries, nothing to serious, just enough to get checked up and sent to the hospital. I believe the speed of the car should have caused the air bags to deploy. Its a 2003 Toyota Camry, I've been the owner for about a year and a half, no accidents prior to this one.
I had an accident recently with my 2001 Toyota Camry. My husband also had an accident in the same car a few years back. But both are kind of same scenario. The brakes don't work properly in rain. Tried to stop but nothing happened and we rear ended cars before us.
Car hit a guard rail at around 40 mph or higher, car wrecked, no air bags inflated. Car was a 1998 Toyota Camry.
Vehicle accident involving my daughter driving her 2007 Toyota Camry the Camry sustained major front end damage and was salvaged a total loss by her insurance company. Her estimated speed on impact was 35-40 mph and none of her airbags deployed. After researching is issue I discovered that there are hundreds of complaints of this same issue regarding Toyota vehicles listed on the consumers reports website and surely hundreds more listed in other areas. The majority of the posts I have read all have the same issue regarding the lack of concern by Toyota.
My husband had a wreck in which the airbags in my car didn't deploy. He t-boned a steel pole and then went into a ravine about 20 feet down hill and then t-boned a tree. The car was going above 30 mile an hour and no brakes were applied at any time. He knocked the pole with the concrete still attached and had been buried about 2ft. In the ground down into the ravine and tore the branches from the tree. The front of the car took significant damage and it was reported to me that the frame was bent on the passenger side of the car. He hit his head on the steering wheel and received a broken nose and a large knot on his forehead due to no airbag deployment.

The air bags did not work during the auto crash. The car was a total loss.
I hit a deer between 55 and 65mph. I struck the animal with the left front, in the headlight area. I want to know why the airbags didn't go off. The car was a 2004 Camry. I am thankful the air bags didn't go off, but wondering -why not. Over $3600 in damages. Thank you for any info you can give me.
The contact owns a 1999 Toyota Camry. While driving approximately 20 mph, the contact crashed into the front end of another vehicle. The contact's vehicle was completely destroyed and none of the air bags deployed. He sustained moderate injuries to his neck and shoulders from the crash. The contact has a copy of the police report and pictures of the vehicle. The failure and current mileages were 100,000.

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry and you can see where the heat from the summer has caused a large gap in the dash where the airbag on the passenger side is. You can see a yellow cover inside which I am afraid is the airbag.
In a front in crash, at about 45 - 50 mph, the airbags didn't not deploy on a 2007 Toyota Camry ce with 16,500 miles. The Camry was totaled by insurance adjuster. The driver was wearing a set belt, which provided some safety prevention, but driver received several broken bones in rib area and a strained neck.
Overturned vehicle.

Crash on 8/4/07. Neither of our air bags deployed or shoulder straps on the seat belt worked. We were stopped for a vehicle making a left turn on a highway. There was a pick-up waiting in front of us. A driver failed to stop and rear-ended us. My husband's head went through the windshield. We both suffered injuries, that we are still being treated for.
On December 22, 20006 I was driving into thorton gas station on sharon road while approaching, the front of the building suddenly my car plunge ahead and shattered the front window of the filling station if it wasn't for the block stop I would have gone into the store, an ambulance was called I was put in the hospital for two for test, they found nothing then I was schedule for a brain scan nothing there, until recently I know feel that I know what happen to my car.
The airbags on my Toyota-camry- le 2006 did not deploy during an accident. I have photos of the vehicle from the incident site if required. My wife was injured. I believe if the air bag would have deployed, the injury may have been prevented.

Consumer mechanic found a problem with the column post about to come loose so that the driver could not control vehicle. The mechanic also discovered that both air bags were not completely assembled. Parts were on top of the air bag but not installed.
Approaching intersection the traffic light changed and attempting to stop vehicle, the brake pedal went to the floor board, but the vehicle did not stop before impact with another vehicle. Speed at impact was approx. 20 mph and neither airbag deployed. Just recently had vehicle at dealership to have soft brake pedal checked, and was told of similar complaints concerning problem.

While driving 10 mph both frontal air bags deploy unexpectedly. Passenger sustained minor injuries. Consumer lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a parked vehicle. Vehicle was towed to a garage for inspection. The cause had not been determined at this time.
I was in an accident on 5/10/04 in which I was hit in the front of my Camry by another vehicle nearly head on. The other vehicle was traveling between 35 and 50 mph on impact and neither air bag deployed.
As I was driving up the driveway of my home/house and in the process of applying the brakes to my 2003 Toyota Camry the car surged forward impacting the from of my brick house and going into the master bedroom causing extensive damage to the house and to personal property inside the bedroom, also the car suffered great damage to the front up to and including complete brekage and collapse of the winshield for a total car damaged of close to $8. 000. 00 dollaras and over $5,000. 00 damage to the house not including the damage done to the interior of the bedroom and its contents. Extimates of the cost of repairs still going on.
Failure of airbags to deploy during a serious accident. Vehicle totaled with major front end damage.
1. Loud creaking and rattles: after many attempts at repairs, the problem finally turned out to be a manufacturing defect. They left plastic assembly guides in place, which they had to remove by removing the window again (this was a super secret service bulletin that was divulged only when the customer engineer for new england showed up). But he dealership managed to chip the paint in the process, requiring the roof to be repainted. Once the creak was gone, the interior rattles were unbearable from all the quality work completed. 2. Transmission issue: I've been assured by the service manager at me dealership that it is normal the transmission take at least a mile shift out of second gear when below 30â°f and to a lesser degree during warm weather. The car won't shift into third or overdriven until after least 1-2 minute of driving, no matter what speed. 3. Transmission issue: when lifting off the throttle from 60 to 55mph on a downhill, there's a "hitch" or bucking where the transmission abruptly catches, then releases. Almost like it down shifting, but it stops half way. This has been an annoying problem since day one. The bucking problem is annoying and problematic. It was solved by reset the computer and showed up again at 42,000 miles. They are blaming it on the adaptive micro-processor and my driving style. (warranty) 4. Door rattles: driver's side and passenger side doors rattle/tick when going over bumps. I asked the service manager that was let go about the rattle, and he explained it's normal for new Camry's to have the doors make that make noise. Constant use of silicone was advised by the dealership. 5. Airbag recall 6. Passenger seat replacement due to poor construction and squeaking 7. Check engine light for defective charcoal canister 8. Warped front brake rotors 9. Pealing chrome on passenger door handle. (warranty) 10. Flaking paint on exterior door handles. * cb.
While driving at 55 mph, the consumer was struck on the front passenger's side by another vehicle. The consumer was wearing a seat belt and the airbags did deploy. When the air bags deployed, they deployed in ribbons. The inflater canister sprayed the contents over the interior of the vehicle. Consumer suffered minor injuries.
