5 Air Bag problem of the 2025 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 03/02/2026

On March 2, 2026, the airbag warning light and seat belt warning light suddenly illuminated on my vehicle’s dashboard. This issue is extremely concerning, as it directly affects critical safety systems designed to protect occupants in the event of a crash. I immediately took the vehicle to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. However, the dealership refused to repair the issue under the manufacturer’s warranty, claiming that the problem was caused by “physical damage. ” I strongly dispute this claim, as no accident, impact, or misuse occurred that could justify such damage. As a result, I was pressured into paying for the repair out of pocket, despite this being a brand-new vehicle and a clear safety-related malfunction. I also contacted Toyota motor north America to escalate the issue. Unfortunately, they declined to provide assistance or override the dealership’s decision, leaving me without proper support. I believe this situation raises serious safety concerns that may affect not only my vehicle but potentially other vehicles of the same model. A malfunction involving the airbag and seat belt systems could significantly increase the risk of injury or death in the event of an accident. For this reason, I respectfully request that the NHTSA: •investigate this issue for potential defects in the 2025 Toyota Camry •determine whether a recall or further safety action is necessary •review the manufacturer’s and dealership’s handling of this safety concern that dealership was hudson Toyota service centre which is located in jersey city new jersey ,07305. I am submitting this complaint in the interest of public safety and to prevent potential harm to other drivers. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.

I was a bit concerned and worried and so when I started driving home, it still displayed that message and it started to beep as I drove more. 30 Air Bag problem of the 2019 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 07/31/2025

The vehicle is experiencing multiple active safety system failures, severely impacting driver control and passenger protection. The most critical issue is a persistent srs airbag malfunction warning, along with the system failing to detect that the seatbelt is buckled, even when properly latched. This disables key safety systems such as airbags and seatbelt pretensioners. The vehicle also suffers from delayed or weak braking response, despite having adequate brake pad wear. This is especially dangerous in stop-and-go traffic or emergency braking scenarios. In addition, the adaptive cruise control system intermittently disengages or fails to maintain distance, and the brake hold feature does not reliably hold the vehicle when stopped, causing rollback or unintended movement. These issues are consistent with known failure conditions already documented in the following recalls: – NHTSA recall 21v-890 – brake booster vacuum pump failure – NHTSA recall 19v567000 – occupant classification system calibration error however, Toyota has refused to acknowledge these defects in this case because the vehicle does not fall under the original recall VIN ranges. This creates a serious safety concern, as the same defective behavior exists outside the recalled population, and is being left unaddressed. This not only places me at risk of airbag and braking failure, but puts other drivers and pedestrians at great danger due to the potential for system failure during high-risk moments such as highway driving, stoplight braking, or crash avoidance maneuvers. A broader investigation into the root cause and expansion of the affected VIN scope is urgently needed before serious injury or loss of life occurs.
