Bumper Problems of Toyota Camry

The front bumper of the vehicle has a known issue where the bumper isn’t staying in properly causing the bumper to pop out of alignment. Toyota fix is to heat up both sides of the plastic edges and tuck the bumper underneath the headlights. It’s a temporary fix that’s needs to be rectified. It seems like Toyota changed the Camry design before it was ready.

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Toyota Camry. When the brake pedal was depressed, the front bumper lowered and punctured the front passenger tire. The failure caused a flat tire. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 26,000.

Front seat on the drivers side moves when driving (stop for traffic or start after stopping) was advised their is no problem. Also the front and rear bumpers have changed color from the original color. I have noticed numerous other blue Camrys with the same discoloration of front and rear bumepers.

New Toyota solara. Vehicle purchased may 30 2006. Front bumper fell off the car on July 7, 2006. Dealer noticed a very small depression near wheel well, and says that someone may have bumped the car in a parking lot. Referred me to private body shop where I was charged $586. 00. Director of local aaa inspected car. They believe that there is no way that the bumper should have detached. I was fortunate that it fell off in my driveway and not on the fwy. Aaa requested that I file ntsb report, and insurance adjuster is examining the car and photographing the bumper, which was held together by two little plastic brackets. Body shop says that some of the new Toyotas have body defects - things that come loose. He is wondering if there is a packaging and shipping problem that causes the bumpers to get loose. He added 6 clips and brackets to the bumper. The new front bumper is now much more stable than the original back bumper.

The bumpers are lacking metal content. The bumper is easily dented when touching anything. Consumer dented front right side bumper. The material design is poorly manufactured, and someone will be injured.

While backing out of parking space, a second vehicle collided into back passenger side. The collision was less than 5 mph and extensive damage was done to back bumper of the vehicle.

The consumer would like the status of the software update to correct the hesitation of the car to react immediately when attempting to accelerate. Vehicle hit a pole while backing up at 1 mph, bumper torn and dented about 3 inches from the right, reinforcing bar does not extend to the ends of the bumper, the design of the bumper is not sufficient and resulted in more damage to the vehicle.
