Purchased 2010 Toyota Camry in 12/10/09. Car/tire was wobbling, felt that alignment was out. I took vehicle to dealer on 12/21/09. I was told that one of the tires was off. Dealer service just rebalanced rear passenger tire and inflated well beyond required psi's. Car continued to wobble, and drive with a distortion in ride and have to hold steering wheel to the left to keep the car straight. Went back for service on 1/23/10. Again, service admitted radial pull. They rebalance the wheels, and realigned the car and that didn't correct the problem. Dealer put 4 new tires and realigned. Problem continued. Car is not sitting on the frame properly but service will not admit it. Took car to service again on 2/13/10. Again a 4 wheel alignment was performed and didn't fix the problem. Took to service again 3/8/10 complained that car isn't driving properly, I have to hold my steering wheel a certain way to keep the car driving straight. Went for a test drive due to the distortion, wobbling of car and was told that Toyota tires roll from left to right. Incredible! the car accelerates when coming to a stop and steering wheel is turned to the left to go straight. One side of the car is higher than the other. When I asked what was done to the car, I was told that they made some adjustments and was dismissed. People driving behind me flash their lights at me and I've been stopped and told that my car is crooked . I can feel it and see the same thing. Service inflated my tires to over 42psi's. That's too much air. This car is still drifting to the right or left depending upon which way the tires are moving from "left to right", in which I was told this is a Toyota thing. Insulting! I feel this was done in order to mask whatever the real problem is. I traded a 2004 Camry that had the same issues. I had over 30 alignments, 4 brake jobs, a steering shaft replaced and 4 sets of tires in 4 yrs. I have documentation on that car. This car is doing the same thing. Feel unsafe.
In January 2008, my 2003 Toyota Camry v6, with 35000 miles on it, developed a squeak in the steering column when the wheel is turned during parking or during any 90 degree turn. The Toyota dealer greased the steering column, and the squeak went away. In January of 2009, the same problem recurred. The dealer wanted to repack the steering column instead of greasing it at a cost of $225. 00, or replace the steering column at a cost of $700. 00. I asked if there was a recall on that particular model for that problem, and the service representative said no. I don't know if there is a safety issue or concern arising from this problem, and is it common among that make and model Toyotas.

I purchased a certified used Toyota car (vehicle VIN: [xxx]) on 12/22/2008 from fremont Toyota dealer ([xxx]), which leads a nightmare as it's a wrecked cert. Rejected car with 2 tire valve stems broken on day 1 and day 8 after purchase and another 2 tires flat again on may 10
1. The rear right tire valve stem broke on 12/23/2008 (the first day after purchase) and the tire pressure monitoring system indicator (tpws) was on so I drove the car to the service department on 12/24/2008. Dealer claim they fixed the problem and also checked all the other tires and make sure they are working. 2. On 1/1/2009, the front right tire valve stem broke again and the tpws was not on. This happened when we drove on highway 5 at 75 miles/hour and we don't even know the tire already 2/3 was flattened!! we happened to look for restaurant at that time and a person coming out of restaurant pointed to us this flat tire! if we did not exit for rest, all 5 passengers in the car could no longer be in this world now. 3. Further complete discovery on this car reveals:
a. Bondo was applied on the following areas:
left fender on rear behind wheel opening area; right door from upper center to bottom of door; and, rt quarter panel in front of wheel opening area
the amount of bondo applied to the subject vehicle, clearly indicates the damage/wreck/repair in these areas were extensive. B. Sand scratched and dirt under paint are obvious in many areas, this is the result of a poor quality re-paint job. The re-paint of the vehicle is further evidenced by the paint mil gauge readings from 8 miles to 12 miles. This matches kearny mesa Toyota's 160 point rejection. C. The paint job alone estimate (not including the body repair) was over $2200 and yet was this re-paint was not reported. The faulty paint job is a known defect to anyone that looks at the vehicle in the automotive industry. D. The right fender was previously removed. And more.

The contact owns a 2001 Toyota Camry. While driving 65 mph the vehicle suddenly spun out of control and caused him to pull off into an embankment. The contact stated that the vehicle had the same failures as noted in recall # 01v072000 concerning structure:frame and members . The manufacturer stated that they would send out an inspector within thirty days. The contact stated that he suffersed from moderate head, neck, shoulder, lower back, and orthopedic injuries. The current and failure mileages were 110,000.
At highway speeds, particularly from 45 mph to 65-75 mph, steering wheel on 2001 Camry le 4-cyl vibrates. Tires and wheels have been balanced many times but still no remedy. Alignment was also performed many times but with the same problem. Went to Toyota dealership 4 times, with the same cause, dealer tentatively fixed issue but restarts (vibrates) after a few miles. Steering wheel seems loose (about to fall off) and moves the car slightly to the left. Visual vibrate of steering wheel is seen and of course felt. This vibrate not seen in my previous 1998 corolla at the same speed range. Also, other generation 4 (1997-2001) Camry's have the same defect. Possible engine mount problem (engine not held properly), over or under torquing of steering wheel and related components. Probably suspension failure or improper installation of steering and suspension. Note: incident date is today's date (02 may 03). Incident has happened many times in normal driving. Note: number of failures is measured in every time I start the car and drive at the above specified speeds. However, the number is lesser since it has been awhile that I reported the problem to Toyota.
Vehicle hydroplaned @ apporx. 65-70 mph hitting a concrete bridge which turned the vehicle 180 degrees and the front hit the other side of the bridge and the vehicle continued spinning. Niether airbag deployed.

Either the frame is out of line or something is wrong with the front end alignment parts as the front end cannot be aligned according to specs. They replaced bolts in the front end for alignment & this did not correct the problem of front end shimmy and tire wear.

Our 1996 Camry was rearended on 8-12-97. The insurance company totaled at first then said it had to be repaired. We rejected the car due to the unsafe condition. I was forced by auction to go pick up car. (11000 dollars later) I towed it home. I also towed it to get an estimate from another Toyota dealer. (that was 3000 more dollars of work) after paying for this car for 1 year and not being able to drive it we turned it in. (repossesed) Toyota motor credit was notified of the work it needed. They auctioned it and now some unknowing person is operating that car. The car is very unsafe, I have written everyone I can think of about this and no one seems to care. If you can give me any help on this matter it would be greatly appreciated. Randy mitchell 102 bermuda ln. Moyock nc 27958 919-435-6826.

Metallic sounds coming from under the chassis. Yh.
The position of the brake pedal is in the same plane as the accelerator pedal, which caused the consumers foot to activate the accelerator while being mostly on the brake pedal. The brake pedal went too low to the floor during braking.
