Tl the contact owns a 2011 Toyota Camry. While driving 60 mph and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle uncontrollably vibrated. Also, while turning the steering wheel, it felt as if it would detach from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the front lower ball joints needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.

2 Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint problem of the 2011 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 05/31/2018

I was making a left hand turn on a side street when my steering wheel became harder to turn and I lost control of my vehicle. The right front lower ball joint had broken off causing the entire tire and tie rod to detach from the car. This caused damage to my right passenger door and the damage to the suspension entire car to shift resulting in misalignment.

Passenger front lower ball joint missing two retaining nuts when delivered by selling dealership (bev smith Toyota, ft pierce ,FL). As noted on inspection by tarbox Toyota, north kingstown,ri after car driven from FL to ri. Phone call to delivering dealer in FL. Service manager stated that dealer did not perform a pre delivery inspection as it was done by the distributor, southeast Toyota. . Said I would be contacted. Nothing heard to date. Believe this could have easily lead to a loss of control or worse if a pothole was struck at highway speed.

4 Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint problem of the 2013 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 07/18/2015

While accelerating from a stop sign and making a left turn, the right front suspension collapsed. The lower ball joint failed causing the entire right front suspension to collapse and fold into the wheel well and under the car. This also caused damage to the right front fender (pushed outward away from the vehicle). The momentum of the vehicle caused the right rear tire/rim to "slap" the curb causing damage to the rim and tire.

5 Front Suspension Lower Ball Joint problem of the 2003 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 01/10/2010

The contact owns a 2003 Toyota Camry. The vehicle failed inspection since the lower ball joints bushing need to be replaced. The dealer was contacted and they stated that they would repair the vehicle at the owners expense. No repairs have been made. There are no recalls.
