1. Experienced sudden acceleration problem at a signal light 2. To control sudden acceleration, need to push brakes harder than a non hybrid car 3. In the reverse direction, it goes too fast without pushing the gas, this may cause a crash missing extra tire and the accessories (jack, lug wrench, other tools etc) even though there is a slotted place holder there. (shame on Toyota for doing this, to order a new kit this will cost approx $1,500 per missing kit, if you were to order individually, this can potentially be a serious personal safety issue if you're in a bad neighborhood and waiting for tow truck vs quickly change the tire and leave) 4. Cheap soft tires, got a screw within 2 months? called Toyota , towing is free, but you must pay for the flat repair or buy a new tire (about $250) every time there is flat as you do not have extra tire, jack, lug wrench. (this can be racketeering - shame on Toyota for doing this) 5. 2nd car (2021 hybrid) came with the low brake fluid levels, close to the low/middle vs brand new car with new brakes, fluid level should be close to maximum. (shame on Toyota for doing this and playing cheap, besides safety issue) 6. To repair flat tire, the air pump and glue kit is a joke, this doesn't work - Toyota should provide non-flat able tires before this genius mickey-mouse invention. (shame on Toyota for doing this).

The owner's manual shows a location for lifting the vehicle in the front using a floor jack (page 427). This location is not present on my vehicle and this was confirmed by a Toyota dealership. This could lead to someone using another improper location to lift the vehicle which could cause an injury to a person if the vehicle slips off the jack or damage to the vehicle. The missing part is also referenced on page 475 as a location to tow the vehicle by. Again, since this location is missing, someone could tow the vehicle by a spot not design to be towed by. This could also result in injury to a person or damage to the vehicle.

Safety issue!!! the low mileage vehicle has a strange issue that Toyota seems unable to repair! 139000. 0 miles the vehicle will intermittently refuse to start. T the key unlocks but only so far it refuses to engage the starter or allow the auto gear selector to work! strands my wife in the bad parts of town and causes distress and danger because of the stranded vehicle condition! no codes generated and twice Toyota has had for two days and no fix! corporation has case or incident report open but not fixed. So far ignition replaced but was told that the following could be issue? 1. Ignition key cylinder 2. Ignition electrical switch and or relay, 3. Transmission interlock switch, 4. Gear shift lever button? gear shift linkage adjustment to ensure car is in park properly for interlock switch to work. Each time it costs over $200. 00 and a new $200. 00 or more worth of parts! would this not be a safety recall issue with gearshift neutral interlock or something? my alternative is to keep driving a gas hog SUV that is at least somewhat reliable? so much for saving fuel or the environment if a car is not reliable or according to Toyota fixable without throwing cash at mechanics or don't know how to fix without jujst guessing at random parts replacements? the veicle is at rest after driving and is in park with key engaged properly with brake engaged properly to start the ignition process that intermittently engages solutions . . . Make a new key?, replace key and cylinder or any number of other things? never a rental or loaner so lojack not an issue, no bluetooth, no gps disabler to my knowledge if one exists it is a criminal act targeting my wife or myself.

The manufacturer's supplied car tire jack does not safely engage its center notch to the ( "pinch welded" metal sheets edge ) designated jack point positions ( for the four wheel locations) as indicated in the owners manual. Only " one side", the inner half of the jack, makes contact with the vehicle, thus making lifting the car very unstable and unsafe. In other words, the notch of the supplied tire jack does not even make contact with the jack point. I am afraid this could cause the car to fall off the jack while it is being lifted to change a flat tire with the spare tire. ( I have tried to lift my car with the jack at all four corners, and the supplied jack's center notch did not even contact the jack point, but instead left indentations of the inner half of the jack's "saddle" on my car's underbody. In addition, I have read complaints (online) of 2009 Toyota Corolla owners whose car actually fell of the jack when it was being used to lift/support the vehicle. I assume this is a potential danger to subsequent owners of later Corolla model years of the same design platform (2009 to 2013) if Toyota has not already supplied new vehicles with an appropriately-designed tire jack or otherwise made it safer to lift the car with the jack. Note that I lifted my vehicle on a flat, hard concrete garage floor. In addition, I believe I've filed a complaint with Toyota several years ago; I called their customer service number, and they documented my concerns. Toyota has not responded to me since. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
