Manufacturing defect with odometers in Toyota 2006. It is the federal law that mandate functional odometer. It appears that digital gauge in some Toyota cars was programmed to disconnect odometer at 299999 millage. Not only the replacement of odometer cost $600. 00 but the new odometer will have to be set at 0 zero millage which is incorrect and fraudulent. Toyota odometer for whatever and unknown reason don't go pass 300000 miles. How otherwise the owner should keep a track of millage. Toyota doesn't seems to recognize this defect as a reason for recall and/or reimbursement. So far vehicle is in operation with millage stacked at 299999.

Stopped at a red light with foot on the brakes. Out of nowhere the car accelerated forward extremely fast. Forced to hit an car in front of me within a car or two, distance wise. After the incident the rpm gauge fluctuates from low to high. In addition, once gas pedal is pressed car slows down and eco activates, then after about 5 seconds car accelerator extremely fast.

Without any indication of a potential problem, my car lost complete power while driving it. In addition, my speedometer was stuck on 50 (I just got off the interstate & was going residential speed), my gas gauge reflected I had a full tank (I actually had a half of a tank) and my temp gauge said my engine was completely cool. I don't know what caused this to happen, but I'm lucky that it did not happen to me while I was on the interstate! let me clarify the facts here- total power loss while driving, steering wheel locked up, gauges - including the speedometer- while at a complete stop were stuck on inaccurate readings, no indication of an issue prior to it stalling! (prior to the car dying on me- headlights and interior lights were bright, radio worked, gauges were accurate. There was no loud noise when this happened, it is not the timing chain, the starter and battery are brand new, there was no hesitation and no trouble when starting it up. ) I have not been able to get the car to start since. Did not respond to a jump. From my understanding, there should have been some order in which power is lost - example radio first- dimming lights, etc. Before power is lost to the entire car while driving.

There is a case where my Toyota Corolla 2013 has an inaccurate reading of its fuel range. Below you can find an instance of the sequence for reproducing the glitch. Step 1: Corolla fuel gauge was showing a little more than 1/4 of the fuel tank capacity. I filled up the tank, after that, the fuel range was showing 294 miles,it was working properly, and the average fuel consumption was 26. 9 miles/gallon. Step 2: travel about 30 miles with the car. Fuel range was showing 265 miles. Step 3: fill up the tank again. Step 4: travel with the car 1 mile. The fuel range showed 264 miles. It has not reset the fuel range yet. Step 5: travel 50 miles more. The fuel range has not reset according the fuel gauge yet. The fuel range is not working properly. Then, go to step 1, the fuel range reset according to the fuel gauge after travel a few meters. I have repeated this sequence over and over again and I have had the same result. It means, as you follow the sequence, the fuel range has an inaccurate reading. I found this glitch when I filled up the tank before tanking a trip out of my city and the tank was almost full.
