Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Toyota Corolla based on all problems reported for the Corolla.
Airbag warning light was on following the first airbag recall service. Dealership refuses to take responsibility, claiming they only replaced the passenger side airbag, and that the cause of the service light is the spiral cable, which is in the steering wheel. Dealership must have checked the driver side airbag in order to see if the inflator needed to be replaced, which must be what tripped the light.

Air bag light came on dashboard as well as passenger seat belt light continuously beeping to buckle seat belt. Dealer was unable to identify the problem. They replaced multiple parts and issue came back after 4 months. Dealer now is claiming that air bag inflator is the issue. Recalled parts were replaced previously. Dealer does not seem to be 100% certain what the issue is and is replacing parts at customer's expense.

Takata recall. I want to know if and when my airbag inflator will be recalled. I live in new jersey, and it gets pretty hot and humid here in the summer, and cool and humid in the winter. The information provided by NHTSA and the press suggests I face the risk of a faulty exploding airbag. It seems that the recall is gambling with the odds that there is less chance of an explosion outside pr, FL, the gulf states, nc and CA. I do not like facing this risk and think NHTSA should order takata and Toyota to replace my airbag inflator with safe equipment. Please let me know what you will do to provide me and all the other car owners facing this risk with a remedy. This risk is, after all, the result of intentional violations by takata and others. I just learned of this risk today in the press. Thank you.
Takata inflators - the vehicle hit a curb and blew the passenger side tire. The seat belt light and air bag light has been flashing ever since about 65,000 miles. The air bag did not deploy and the seat belt still locks. If an accident occurs from the rear, side or front, the airbag would not deploy and the seat belt may not lock. The horn line disconnected from the horn unexpectedly. This happened on 6/15/18 at 88,585 miles. The air conditioner has a leak from the main line that connects to the square box at the back of the car wall. When the car is sitting still at a light or stop sign, hot air starts blowing.

Toyota of south florida.
Summary: the subject vehicles are equipped with front passenger airbag inflators produced by takata. According to takata, the propellant in these inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and fluctuating high temperatures. Degraded propellant can cause inflator rupture during airbag deployment. Safety risk: in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death. Remedy: the remedy will consist of the replacement of the airbag inflator or the airbag assembly, depending on the vehicle model.
Toyota recall: takata air bag inflator purchased Dec 2 2016 at ron carter Cadillac. At time of purchase I asked if it had any takats parts. Answer was no. No mention of inflators being takata! called Toyota to see if it had any recalls last spring and I was told I would receive any recall notice. . . I asked again if any takata parts and was told no again but would be contacted if so in future if recalls. So Toyota did know they were on my vehicle ! I am disabled from back injury permanently and need to have a safe car. Please contact me at 832-493-1585 for further information. . There has been so much about takata airbags and inflators - how can they hide information and give out false info when questioned !!! fortunately no incidents so far !!! I will update my complaint when I can. Will put in today's date as recall was on cbs news this evening 1/9/2018.
Received mail regarding legal notice for owner of vehicles with takata airbag inflators so investigating.
Takata recall after 9 months, a solution to repair the faulty takata inflators has not been established.
Takata recall. I received an interim recall notice (NHTSA no. 16v-340 & 17v-006) from Toyota. I have contacted my dealer at least 4 separate times regarding the recall repair. Each time I was told that the recall was interim and a recall repair had not been identified and was not possible. I am unable to pay for a replacement air bag inflator out-of-pocket so since receiving the recall notice (I believe nearly one year ago although there is no date on the notice from Toyota), I have been unable to operate my vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. Today, I received notice from takata (tk holdings inc. ) notifying me that they had filed chapter 11 bankruptcy and that I should contact my dealership immediately to schedule a free repair. My dealership asked to see a copy of this notice, as they had not received this information. They indicated that they would contact me with a follow-up after reviewing the notice. However, as of today, 10/26/2017, Toyota has been unable and unwilling to remedy the airbag problem and schedule my repair. The notice from tk holdings led me to visit the airbag recall website, which led me to file this complaint.
I have been trying to get my airbag replaced ever since the initial recall was issued in January 2017. It is now almost 10 months later, and Toyota is still unable to fix the issue. The current status (as of October 25th, 2017) "Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this condition and will provide additional information as it becomes available. The remedy, when available, will consist of the replacement of the airbag inflator or the airbag assembly, depending on the vehicle model. " is this ever going to get fixed?.
Takata recall local dealer still does not have replacement parts. Their only suggestion is to not have anyone sit in the passenger seat. They have no idea when parts will be available, yet new cars are being produced, with [supposedly good inflators]. Apparently profit comes before safety.
Takata recall: I have 2006 Toyota carola. Toyota replaced inflator which was on recall. I now have airbag light on. Toyota ran test on car ,they tell me it is a sinsor but I will have to replace it myself. The news reports are lexis and several others are on recall for bad airbag sensors. Takata recall - after receiving the recall notice, this has not been resolved yet. The inflators on my car have not been replaced yet. There has not been an incident yet. I received a notice that tk holdings has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, and was directed to this website.
Takata recall- a takata airbag inflator safety recall for my vehicle has been issued and the remedy is currently being prepared. After contacting my local dealership [Toyota of tampa bay] I was informed that the best estimate for when information about the remedy for my vehicle will be available is December 2017. The recall states that the airbag inflators are faulty and capable of rupturing and causing metal fragments to pass through the airbag cushion material and strike occupants. The shrapnel could cause serious injury or death. My vehicle has been in florida where I reside since I purchased the car and there has been exposure to moisture in the environment and fluctuating high temperatures. I drive this vehicle regularly to transport my family and I fear that in the event of an accident my family and I will not be a) protected from the airbags installed and b) [we] are at risk for being injured by the airbags.
"takata recall" there was no problem with the vehicle. This solely involves the nature of the recall. The 16v340000 recall does not provide for recall of 2011 Corollas that were sold and registered in zone c. Yet many owners live in the zone a area for part of the year typically for 4,5, or 6 months or more. If they did not change the registration to florida for example the vehicle would not be recalled yet would have been subject to zone a conditions for part of the year. In my case it has been six months for the last four years and four months for one year. I cannot find out if my vehicle has a takata airbag and, if it does is it one with the defective inflator.

Toyota. Consumer writes in regards to takata front passenger airbag inflator safety recall. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to complete the recall repair. Updated 10/03/2017.
"takata recall" I have received, by mail ( usps) that my Toyota is subject to a recall for front airbag inflators, and filing a complaint is necessary to to reach a settlement.
Takata inflators: I received a notice of possible metal fragments coming through the airbag once it deploys over a year ago and there is yet to be a remedy to replace the airbags. This is putting myself and my children in danger if any crash was to occur and this is our primary vehicle. It should not take this long to provide a remedy for replacement and even local dealerships are not educated on the recall.
Takata inflator recall.
Takata recall. "remedy not available"! takata/Toyota has failed to remedy the safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. The video on NHTSA site suggests serious injury or death can occur upon crash/impact due to takata defect. "timely manner" would be immediate repairparts available in all states for all vehicles. I received notification last year 2016, it is now Aug. 2017 and I am still unable to escape possible injury or death because takata has failed. I live in very hot humid conditions in southern illinois/st. Louis. Is today the day I or occupant die from an airbag that is supposed to save lives? fortunately I have not had a crash with the vehicle, so I have not yet experienced the life threatening condition caused by the defect. Fortunately I am still alive to file a complaintwill I or my passengers be here tomorrow? takata and Toyota need to figure out the answer to that question. Since late last year (2016) recall instructions are to not ride with a passenger. And it is now August of 2017people have families, friends, one life to liveand need to use their passenger seat! their delay in fixing is beyond negligent. Toyota dealers are disabling airbags and put "do not sit here sticker" in cars? I am making a car paymenttheir solution to not use of my car. I am formally requesting that in addition to repair that takata/Toyota pay of my car payment from time of first notice and until they have repaired my car. They are causing daily worry and stress- is today the day I get injured or die today from a shrapnel-shooting inflator? I have been a loyal Toyota owner. I would plan on another Toyota in the futurebut what is Toyota/takata doing for meexcept endangering myself and my family. By Dec. 2016 there were at least 11 deaths and 184 injuries. Those numbers will turn out higher. They are failing to fix the problem!.
Takata inflators, the recall was started on may 23, 2016. I never received a notification of the recall, and it is now August 8, 2017 and the recall as yet to have a remedy and be fixed.
Received notice of recall due to safety concerns with takata airbag inflators, however, have not received noticed regarding replacement of airbags.
Takata recall months ago I was informed passenger airbag inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high humidity and fluctuating high temperatures, and metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death. While I appreciate that Toyota has informed me they are working on a remedy, I am unable to safely transport anyone, be it my girlfriend, friends, or family, as a result of the poor manufacturing and planning of this company. I am frustrated, as high humidity and fluctuating high temperatures are not new to the planet, or to car manufacturing, and I need a replacement ASAP. I live in FL and have no interest in trying to rectify a fatality as a result of an untimely correction of Toyota's own error. Toyota's website says to check NHTSA's website if I feel the remedy is not in a reasonable timeframe. I feel that several months is reasonable, and I'm ready for a call or letter to come in and get this taken care of. I purchased this vehicle from this manufacturer with safety and reliability as my top concern, and I need you to please hold them accountable for their promises. "reasonable timeframe" is not defined, not even by a range.
Takata recall I believe Toyota has taken an unreasonable amount of time to resolve the takata inflator issue. The interim notice for the recall is dated may 23, 2016 on Toyota's website. I did not receive any direct (mail) correspondence until December 2016, in which the letter said to wait until a remedy becomes available. Since then, it has been a significant inconvenience to avoid having passengers ride in the front passenger seat.
Takata recall from airbagrecall. Com: "the subject vehicles are equipped with front passenger airbag inflators produced by takata. According to takata, the propellant in these inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and fluctuating high temperatures. Degraded propellant can cause inflator rupture during airbag deployment. " I have not recevied any further information about resolving this safety issue.
Takata inflators. Toyota sent a notice about the recall months ago (and I'm sure knew about it for even longer than that). They have not made any repairs. The notice they sent suggests not using the front passenger seat which is completely impractical and impossible for us and, I imagine, most other people who own a car that is subject to recall. Also, if the airbags are problematic, then it must also be dangerous for the driver to continue using the car. Toyota needs to fix these airbags immediately.
