Steering Wheel Problems of Toyota Corolla

Vehicle in to dealer for alignment. Dealer said rear axel had to be shimmed for alignment. When customer picked up vehicle dealer said alignment would be good and shims would be good for future alignments. 13 months later and 23,000 miles later the vehicle wore out to 2/32nds 4 new tires. At another repair center other than downeast Toyota once the shims were removed the vehicle was able to be aligned.

The top of my steering wheel is deteriorating. I only clean the interior with windex. Nothing else is "breaking down" but the top of the steering wheel. The manufacturer referred my email to the local Toyota dealer. The Toyota dealer just said it wasn't covered.

While driving steering wheel started to rotate. Consumer tried to stop it, and put vehicle back into control. This also was a rental vehicle.

There was too much play in steering wheel while driving. Vehicle taken to dealer, and informed consumer that steering wheel bolt had loosened, and they retightened it at consumer's expense.

Consumer has been experiencing problems with steering wheel column. Whenever consumer maneuvers the steering wheel, it makes a very loud noise. The vehicle has been in the shop several times, and the dealer couldn't find a solution to the problem. The manufacturer has been contacted.
