I received an email notice and letter in the mail notifying me of the takara recall, that Toyota has the parts but doesn't yet know how to proceed. I received a phone call from the local Toyota dealership on oct 25, and they said they have the parts and wanted to schedule repair. Upon further discussion about the issue, she then changed the story and said they couldn't do it yet and would call me again at an undetermined future date. Toyota is failing to remedy this situation within a reasonable time, and their advice that no one should sit in the front seat is not acceptable.

In October 2019 I received a recall notice advising me that the front passenger airbag which was replaced in a previous recall may be damaged and could cause injury in the event of a crash. I was advised not to allow passenger to sit in the front passenger seat until the airbag is replaced. I was also advised "the remedy is not currently available" and that I would be notified when the remedy is available. After waiting 3. 5 months the remedy is still not available. It is unreasonable not to be able to use the front passenger seat of my vehicle for an unlimited amount of time. I have contacted Toyota and they simply tell me there is no remedy available yet and I just have to wait. Is this legal??? do auto manufacturers have to repair safety recalls within a specific time period? if not, why not?.
I bought brand new toyoto 2007 Matrix in 2007 in USA. Why until now it not give me recall problem fix??? in 2019, Toyota know my phone number and my car 3 months it called me wait for recall for 2 month more. But now it not give me recall successfully.

Second or third recall on passenger airbag. Received notification of current recall (8/2019 or earlier) stating no remedy available - Toyota recommends no one sitting in the passenger seat - unrealistic in setting of >6 mo timeline for repair. Checked back (2/12/20) and Toyota website says remedy is now available; however, dealership (gladstone, or) service center states there is still no remedy. Extremely untimely fix to a serious safety recall.
Airbag recall 19v627 still has no remedy. Recall was issued 8/28/2019 and will be 9 months on the 27th of may. This is unacceptable in my opinion and unsafe .
I have tried so many times requesting Toyota recall team for remedy. They connect me to the local dealer on telephone. Three times the local dealer gave me appointments. But, when I have gone as per the appointments, the dealer told me the part was not available. In general, the company unable to do the recall remedy.

Recall 19v627 8/28/2019 still has no remedy for the defective air bag. This must be a safety issue since no remedy is available yet.
Just got off the phone with a chain at Toyota (18003314331) he said there is no remedy for that type of vehicle. Passenger air bag. No time frame either for when I can get my part. He is sorry. Really. I need a car. He would not lease me a car either for free.
I have been on Toyota recall list for two years and every time I get another card about recall , I call dealership and they put me on a wait list . As part is not available or supply and demand . Unacceptable and now it seems there is also a loud squealing noise and the gas pedal will rev and accelerate and jerk forward on its on while I just barely got foot of brake . And then it will accelerate until I put foot on gas and it will jerk forward trying to accerlelerate and then I get control.

2005 Matrix. Consumer writes in regards to NHTSA recall 18v-025. The consumer stated the parts were unavailable to complete the recall repair.
I have gotten the "takata recall" letter and took my car on March 18, 2018, with mike briseno from Toyota here near my place 1901 s figueroa st, los angeles, CA 90007. They offered me an uber ride home from the dealership with my husband and said it will take 2-3 hours. Got the call from mike briseno and said that my car is ready. I got there and he said they did not do anything and had to order the parts. Called the dealership on may 16, 2018, talked to mike said he will call me to see back order and never responded if the parts ever arrived since may 2018. Car was never fixed.
