I was sitting at a red light when my 2007 Toyota Yaris was rammed from behind in a rear end collision. I sustained several injuries. My air bag didn't deploy, but the air bag light came on. In addition, the seatbelts didn't work either. I suffered a comminuted fracture to my left distal clavicle, fractured l1 transverse process, and I'm having surgery to fix the problems that were caused from my face hitting the steering wheel. This happened on oct 20, 2015 and I just found out this is a common problem with 2007 Toyota Yaris'. I can provide addition information is needed.

The air bag lights keep steady on, never turn off.
The airbag light is stays on and I received a interim recall notice in mail for spiral cable. I took it to the dealership for inspection and they said clock spring is causing the airbag light to stay on. I do not believe them. Both the clock spring and the spiral cable are behind the steering wheel. Now they want $500. 00 to fix. I believe the dealership is avoiding to fix the recall replacement.
My airbag light came on, and hasn't turned off for longer than a minute in the past couple of months. Brought it to repair shop, was told airbag won't work with light on. I was told it was most likely the clock spring. Noticed on multiple forums people have the same complaint. Not sure if I want to replace it with a genuine Toyota part if this is going to happen again in a few years.
Air bag light continues to remain illuminated after vehicle is started.
Airbag light came on and has not turned off. Initially it would be intermittent, now it's continous.
My airbag light will not go out and when I researched the problem it seems to be common and should be addressed by Toyota.
Air bag light came on and stayed on. Per manual took to dealer for diagnosis ($97). Diagnosed faulty spiral cable which will keep driver's side front airbag from deploying and may turn off entire airbag system. Cost to replace cable quoted as $453.
Air bag light came on while driving 65 mph.
Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The contact state that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to have NHTSA campaign id number: 09v031000 (seat belts: front: retractor) performed, however the repair did not correct the failure, the vehicle supplemental restrain system and the air bag light illuminated after the repair. Started car, air bag light came on after 30 seconds,(or so) has been on to date. Looking at all the complaints on the web, there should be a safety recall.
The airbag light has been lit since last year on my Yaris. The dealer says it is the clock spring in the steering wheel and is out of warranty so they are not responsible. I see many complaints on the same item. I count over 25 complaints. The 2007 Toyota tacoma had less complaints for the same problem and there has been a recall on it. What does it take to make my car safe?.
Airbag light came on manual instructions "go to Toyota dealer immediately. While waiting for evaluation salesman tries to sell new car.
Air bag light on, Toyota says out of warranty. My car is not an isolated issue, as there are many complaints of the same thing. If the bags won't deploy in an accident, isn't this a safety issue?I think there should be a recall. .
Takata recall air bags lights all the time on.
