It was new year's eve 12/31/2018 it was raining and I was going home after pick up dinner for my family and I was coming to a stop sign and I pressed on my brakes and it didn't catch on and I let off of it and pressed on it again. I still felt like I was sliding and that when I pressed on it even harder and I kept sliding. I turned my wheel so I wouldn't hit straight to the trees and the ditch but once I turned the wheel I felt the car being pushed like the wind blew on it and next thing I feel the car was hit and rolling down the ditch and the airbags didn't deploy. It happened so fast I thought we were died cause it was my 6 months old daughter and I. The first day after the accident my neck was hurting so bad that it hurt for me to swallow and my chest, shoulders, and back hurts. My daughter and I went to urgent care on 1/2/2019 cause the doctors office were closed and the emergency room was full of people the next day cause it was a holiday I wish I had went with the ambulance or went that same day cause I was in so pain after. We didn't get visible scars my daughter was strapped in her car seat and I had my seatbelt on cause I always make sure I have my seatbelt on every time I'm in a car I can feel my bruises I couldn't get a mri cause I was given a pregnancy test and it came up positive but I did get a x-ray on my neck. All I can take for pain is tylenol 1 pill every 6 hours or 2 pills every 12 hours. I have to follow up with my daughter doctor next week to see if everything stays normal from her urgent care check up. I'm trying to figure out what happened with my car cause I wasn't going that fast and the car hitting so hard I can't understand why the airbags didn't deploy? didn't the sensors didn't work or go off. If yall can please inform me of why the airbags didn't deploy please message me at my email roodlynestokley@icloud. Com or roodlynepierre@yahoo. Com.

Was in a car accident in December of 2018 and air bags didn't deploy. Went to the dealership and they said they couldn't help. Entire sensor of the front were torn off and still didn't deploy. My sister was seriously injured. She was driving and crashed at 35mph on a city streer and crash into a stop light and sign because someone took a red on her green and she swerved to not hit anyone.

The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Yaris. While the front passenger seat was occupied, the front passenger air bag was deactivated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bag sensor failed due to the weight in the passenger seat being too heavy. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

I purchased this car in December 2006 in puerto rico. I needed a car to visit my father who currently lives there. During 2007 through 2012, I visted him approximately five times and drove the car. In 2013, I decided to bring the car to virginia, us. I bought the 2006 Yaris Toyota to the us with approximately 6k miles in March 2013. In may 2013, the sensor controling the air bags turned on and I it was unable to pass state inspection. The week after, while I was driving to work, the car lost all of the brakes functionality. I had to pull the emergency brakes in this car or else have an accident. Overall between the sensor and new brakes it is costing over $1300. In two months of driving the car from fredericksburg virginia to springfield virginia, the mileage used was about 4k extra. In essence; the car with only 10k, and is at home while I think of what to do with this car. The car is paid off and a car on only 10k miles should not have so many issues. Toyota said it cannot repair the car because it is a 2006 model, however the mileage on the car is only 10k.

The airbag sensor came on. The Toyota dealership ran a $130 diagnostic that told me the spiral cable for the airbag sensor is worn out, broken, or faulty and that it would be a total of $500 to fix it. They said no airbags in the vehicle would operate as they should whilst that light is on and I'd need to fix it ASAP. I don't have the money to fix this currently and now I don't feel safe driving this vehicle! he told me that it was either the tacoma or tundra that had this same problem and it was a recall, but that the Yaris wasn't popular enough to have enough on the road to cause a recall, which I think is ridiculous. This needs to be either a recall or covered under an extended warranty.
I was driving within the city speed limit (30-35 mph) when my abs light came on at night. I live in the south, so it was warm weather. It kept blinking off and on at first but then I noticed it would not go off at all. I looked in my car manual and it indicated that I should take it immediately to my local Toyota dealership. I took it on Tuesday morning (4/24/12) and paid $45 for a diagnostic. The technician told me there was a bad sensor and I would need to pay about $700 to replace the sensor, and the total cost for parts and labor was $989. 05 with tax minus my diagnostic price. I cannot afford this and wonder why they won't fix it because it is a manufacturing problem. I feel they should replace it. After searching on the internet to compare prices, I have discovered that my car is not the only one with this issue, which indicates it is a manufacturing issue. I think something should be done about it.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Yaris. While he was driving on a secondary road at a speed of 40 mph, the vehicle slid on an icy road causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The driver spun out and crashed into a tree without the air bags deploying. The majority of the damage was done on the passenger side front, where the air bags sensors are located. The contact can provide photos if necessary. The current and failure mileage was 1,200.
