My car was dead while I was driving to a nearby usps. Later, I was told that the car's fuel pump was broken, which caused engine to stop running. That is something vw should have fixed long time ago because vw had it recalled for more than half year. They have so much time to make thing right, but they just chose to ignore it. I can't imagine if it happened in a interstate. Please urge them to fix the problem immediately. There are so many lives could be in danger. Now, I need to pay more than 1600 bucks to get it fixed. That is insane.

Engine appeared to have acceleration and timing issues. Took to local shop for routine oil change and to look into issue. Was informed that all my misfire issues were not from ignition coils as previously fixed by vw dealer but that it was the timing chain. Engine only has 108k miles (all highway commuter) and still owe money on loan. Shop informed me that engine would need to be completely torn apart to see all the damage that's been done but would be cheaper to just replace with used engine. I have no good options since $6k is still owed on vehicle, no warranty and no means of replacing motor. Vw is aware of issue. Several other complaints have been filed for this same issue and it appears to be common enough to have made several online forums and aftermarket companies to sell upgraded preventative replacement part.
Volkswagen in mt pleasant south carolina had me bring my car in to get a fuel pump replaced. This was back in October of 2017. Volkswagen put a faulty fuel pump in my car and the car no longer runs. I spoke with the general mgr recently and the head tech - they said we cannot do anything for you. I also called Volkswagen customer service and they said its not their problem. They put a faulty fuel pump in my car.

On September 16, 2017, my wife was driving our Volkswagen Cc luxury 2009, and it lost power while in motion, she crashed into a dresser in our garage and and damaged the drywall of our home. We called our insurance because we just had purchased this car on labor day 2017, from the Audi dealership in lakeland, FL, and during the claim we found out that this open recall had not been fixed. So I contacted the Audi dealership and they retrieved with a promise to have it fixed at the vw dealership in lake land florida, since this was the manufacturers dealership. Well today I was told by the Audi dealership that the vw dealership located on 209 s lake parker avenue, lake land, FL 33801said the NHTSA website recall was wrong and there is no recall for the vehicle so they cannot fix a vehicle without an active recall. I emailed the Audi dealership documents from your website about the recall and yet they claim the vw dealership will not fix the vehicle. I have attached a copy of the recall from your website, please let me know what my next steps should be. My wife and I have not vehicle for the last week, it is now with the Audi dealership in lakeland FL. 1recalls associated with this VIN Aug 16,2017 manufacturer recall number20ae NHTSA recall number17v509 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summary on certain vehicles, there could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. The timing chain on my 2012 Volkswagen Cc failed under no fault of my own. The vehicle has 65k miles on it and the repair shop is citing that an entire engine is needed to repair the vehicle with a cost of $7,000. I have reached out to Volkswagen of America as well as the dealership, I purchased the vehicle from, neither have offered any relief. This has posed a tremendous impediment on my life and threatens to ruin my credit as I am stuck paying for a vehicle that I cannot drive.
Hello, I bought this car 2 months ago , mileage 89000 . Problem with a gearbox dsg, on the website I got this ; Volkswagen has announced a program to help owners of vw and Audi vehicles equipped with the company’s dual-clutch dsg transmissions. After a flurry of complaints to the NHTSA, vw will replace components inside the transmission. Issues apparently stemmed from faulty temperature sensors that would force the dsg boxes into neutral, often while owners were driving. Vw will replace the components and offer loaner cars during the repairs. Owners who have already paid out-of-pocket for the fix will be reimbursed. The company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. But when I talk to vw dealer brooklyn thay told me goodbye, you have recall from airbag. And we dont care about your dsg problem although it was said the company will also apply a 10-year, 100,000-mile transferrable warranty to the dsg transmissions. 1. Takata recall 2. Dsg transmission, delay, jerks on the rear gear. Mechatronic always overheat. When turning on the rear gear it does not turn on very large engine rmp and then quckly turns on, I find it very dangerous, because I do not know if the rear gear is turned on at all Volkswagen recently initiated a recall on 2009-10 vws and audis equipped with its high-performance direct shift gearbox (dsg) transmissions. Vw said it would repair or replace the components in the transmissions at no charge to the vehicles’ owners. And vw will reimburse customers who have already repaired the transmission on their own. But dealer vw USA sad this is not true / only some recall dsg can get free repaired.
The intake blew when starting after sitting outside on a hot day. The car was stationary and parked in my work parking lot. Vw America customer service would not honor the extended warrantee even though I was only 3k past the extended warrantee mileage amount.
Vehicle will not start. Message indicates "steering wheel column lock". This happens intermittently. This is a known problem with other vw models, but dealership won't cover it, and general manager is acting as if he doesn't know this issue exists with other models.

I have a 2010 vw Cc with 63,000 miles. The engine coils keeps going out and I could have died on the freeway, when the car loses control. I have owned many other brands and never had this many repairs on a car. There is a quality control issue and should be looked into. In a matter of 5 months, I have had to replace an engine coil. Both times, I almost lost control of the car. This is an unsafe, poorly made car.
I own a 2013 vc Cc with about 76,000 miles on it. Car is an excellent condition and is still pretty new when suddenly my car began to shut off while driving. There were no progression of problems. The issue occurred suddenly. While driving on the road or while stationary at a red light, all the sudden while attempting to accelerate, the car would begin jerking and the engine would just rev up as if the car was in neutral position until eventually shutting off and parking and engine indicator lights would turn on. If I was stopped at a light in drive position, the parking light would suddenly turn on and I would have no mobility of the vehicle. The car would still be on, but would not move. I would have to position it in park, restart the vehicle and it would jump start before the same problem occurred again and again and again. After taking it to the dealer, I was informed that I would have to replace the mechatronic unit, which is basically the computer that controls the transmission. Replacement costs were $1800. They were generally unsure of why a new vehicle would have these issues, mentioning it may have been water damage from street flooding or moisture getting into the unit. Either way I feel in a brand new car, these issues should not be occurring and are extremely dangerous if I had been driving on a highway and then the vehicle suddenly shuts off.
Takata recall. . . How long are we suppose to ride around in a dangerous vehicle in harms way. The recall went out in February of this year and here it is July with no remedy. I need a loaner vehicle or a new vehicle for this death trap I have. I have a terrible gas leak in my fuel line. The gas smell has moved inside of the vehicle and no one can withstand it. Not only is the smell extremely strong, but the gas leak is even more dangerous than the faulty airbags. Insurance companies total vehicles when airbags deploy, but Volkswagen thinks it's okay for us to ride around in vehicles with faulty, life threatening airbags and faulty fuel lines. This is unacceptable on so many levels and something has to be done and be done immediately.
Fuel pump module and takata inflators while driving on the freeway on the way to work my car ended up losing power and completely shutting down while in motion. The sudden loss of power shut off all of my lights inside and out. As soon as this happens I begin to press on my brakes only to notice that my brakes felt like they were lacking pressure. The lack of pressure on the rotars made it very difficult to slow down and with there being no power also made it difficult to turn the wheel. I merged over toward the shoulder and ending up hitting some type of water run off dip that caused my car to bounce up and blow out my right front tire. The blowout was what helped me slow my car down and bring it to a stop. That caused damage to the body of my car. After stopping I tried checking if the car would turn on and it had no response. I then had it towed away. That was in 2016 and to this day the car hasn't been able to get fixed.
The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that while attempting to the start the vehicle, it failed start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.
Car will not start , no warning ,call vw USA no help ,they are redoing engine ,cost $5000. 00 help.
It has been over one year since the airbag on my vehicle has been recalled and Volkswagen has yet to do anything. The turbo also seems to be malfunctioning.
While driving at about 45 mph the engine light came on with the warning to take car to the dealer for service immediately. I did go, immediately, and while the service manager could not tell me exactly why, I was charged $600 to replace pistons. About two months later while driving slowly in a parking lot, I started to turn onto the driveway and the car simply stopped, went dark, and the steering became impossible. After trying several times and then sitting for about 5 minutes the car started again. It was a leased car that I intended to buy for my daughter. I turned the car back in and did not buy it.
Went to have car service with oil change and upon leaving car was riding rough and found out that a rear main seal had broke on the engine. Had over 12 codes that showed up. After they fixed that problem got fix, the car was towed to a vw dealership where they diagnose the car with slipping of the time chain. This a horrible and I looked online with over a 100 complaints about this issue with the vw Cc and surprise that their isn't a recall on the car. Its a major issue that needs to be looked at immediately.
Yesterday I took my vehicle to the vw dealership to be serviced because the epc and engine lights were on. I had to have 3 ignition coils and 4 spark plugs replaced on my vehicle at the vw dealership and the computer software updated. Today the engine light came back on. The epc light came on but went off after I turned the car off and restarted it. The car had trouble starting and lost power as I was driving on a city street. The car shuddered a bit as I was driving on a city street.
The epc and engine lights keep coming on even after I have the vehicle serviced. In one instance, as I was driving on the highway to the vw dealership, the car began to slow down and would not accelerate. Traffic was sparse, so I was able to safely get to the shoulder of the highway. At the vw dealership, I had 3 of the coils and 4 spark plugs replaced. On the same day that I had them replaced the epc and the engine lights came back on, there was a message on the information console stating that the engine should be serviced, and the car powered off. The car was stationary in my driveway at the time.
At about 43k miles I was driving on a multi lane highway when the car started violently trembling/jerking then sputtered and turned off. I was able to turn it back on and get onto a side median. The car continued to jerk I drove to dealership immediately a few miles away. By the time I got there it was no longer jerking and only random misfires in the engine where found on diagnostic testing. The car since before that time and still has a low level but noticeable tremble when it is idle. I have been to the dealership several times to have it addressed but they claim to not be able to reproduce the problem.
In a front end collision while slowing down on interstate 84, on October 15, 2015, the air bag did not release. This resulted in a fractured sternum and a hospital stay. The police report with the connecticut state police is case number 1500606623 per article in USA today -- 8. 15. 15, this car is included in a recall due to airbags not deploying.
Loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion on city street and loss of power from stationary position at red traffic light to a in motion green light pressed on pedal with no motion. This happened from the day I purchased the car while salesman was in the car explaining the cars specifications . When it happened he said its part of the next feature of car. He asked me to leave the car in a stationary position on incline and remove my foot off the brake and allow the car catch gear without pressing on the gas pedal that it drove up on its power and not mine. Shook my head and said "I already bought the car and cars have been doing the incline costing a long time, what are you not telling me?" it seemed that he was avoiding what happened when we lost power. It happened the same day they were giving me the keys and its been happening ever since but it skips a couple of weeks or days 2015-2017.
