Twice while driving the vehicle would not shift then stall. Once it also started to shake, won't go over 30 mph. Its exactly as what is described in recall 19v866, however my VIN doesn't seem to qualify for this recall. Quote is over 5k - when my vehicle diagnostic ran, there are 3 recalls showing, however when I put my VIN in, it shows 0. There's also a new recall for this exact issue - but haven't heard anything regarding my specific VIN.

My vehicle for a few years now has stalled out on me and caused it to go in to limp mode. This is very dangerous and I see there is a recall and no fix is available but the hybrid system shuts completely down when it does this and I cannot do anything with the vehicle at that time. It will happen anywhere I am where it's a back road or on the interstate. I feel that Volkswagen should take back this veh because of the faulty system. I feel Volkswagen should pay my loan off so I can get in to another safer vehicle.
Epc warning light came on suddenly; vehicle throttled down and continued to buck and stall out; loss of power and speed. Very dangerous while in traffic. No specific diagnostic code(s) were saved or triggered. This causes costly and unneeded diagnostics and repairs.

2019 Jetta s. Began stalling after 6 months of ownership. Car was purchased brand new with 62 miles. Brought vehicle to dealer 09/27/2019 and they stated it was fine no issues could be found. On 05/18/2020 the car stalled again it had 15452 miles on it. It was towed to the dealer where they kept the car until 07/25/2020 to fix the problem. They stated it was fixed. On 07/30/2020 the vehicle stalled again, and this time the brakes failed and the steering wheel locked and I lost control and crashed into a center median with large boulders in it. If they were not there I would have continued into oncoming traffic. I was traveling at 45 mph when the impact occurred. The vehicle safety systems did not deploy because the cars engine was not running at the time of impact.

Twice now on city streets accelerating from stops to either go straight or turn left the car has kind of stalled or lost power causing potential crashes with oncoming and rear vehicles.
I purchased this vehicle recently and have noticed a distinct diesel smell when idling or driving at low speeds. Smells strong like leaking diesel fuel. The car idles very rough and sometimes stalls when coming to a stop. There is a very bad odor whenever I enter the vehicle. I am concerned that the car will stall and I might be in an unsafe position during traffic. I think the clutch might be defective. It sounds very loud. The vehicle has 260,000 miles. Diesls are supposed to run forever but I feel like I bought a lemon.

I was told that my transmissions had a recall and when I called there were no open recalls for them I've been having a problem recently where my car was going from electric to gasoline which caused my car yo stall and then when I pressed on the gas my car would not go but the car would still be on with no dash bored lights on they come on and then they turn off. I asked if they can look at what was replaced and they said it would charge me an expensive amount to pay per hour which is crazy! when I first got the car there were a lot of codes that they completely erased from the car the day after I got it from another owner I was already having issues and she called and asked just there was no available slots then too. What my car is doing is dangerous and it's scary I don't even want to drive it at this point and I only had it since March 13th if this year and the recall was done in February the one guy told me and I'm the beginning he told me January and they won't do nothing about it my e mode won't come on anymore and when my car is in stationary it jerks continuously.
My Jetta began having issues starting once driven. It progressed to stalling while idling and at traffic lights. It further progressed to stalling while driving, slowing for turns ect. The emc relay was replaced by mechanic. Apparently this is a common problem that needs to be recalled by Volkswagen.
The vehicle is a 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle will stall out when coming to a stop. Not user error, since the stalling happens when the car is in neutral - coasting to a stop. Stall out is very soft - akin to just shutting off the engine. This happens nearly every stop after running the car for about 15 minutes. This phenomenon is repeatable and extremely unsafe.
The car randomly stalls!!! this has happened several times and the dealer says nothing is wrong because there are no codes. This is so dangerous and I do not feel safe driving it. Twice the car stalled when sitting at a stop light and once when I was driving on the city street. It will restart after I let it sit. It also stutters/jumps and DE excellerates.

For the last 30,000 miles my vehicle has sporadically stalled out or shuddered heavily as if it was about to stall while driving at low speeds or accelerating. This month however, my vehicle stalled out and completely lost power for a few seconds while driving at low speed in heavy traffic on the interstate. Each time I was driving straight and not turning was involved. My transmission has been replaced twice and each time this did not solved the issue. These incidents keep increasing in severity and occur randomly so I do not know when to expect. I feel unsafe when these instances occur.
Car randomly shuts stalls. I've had the car 6 days and it's done it four times. Three when stopped or going 5mph or less on highwayy off ramps. Once when going about 20mph in traffic. The car is a manual and all times the clutch was fully depressed.
Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the vehicle the vehicle had to be taken to the dealer first team Volkswagen, 6900 peters creek rd, roanoke, va 24019 at least 12 times, in order to have the fuel system repaired, to comply with the emmissions test ( the vehicle stalled several times ). Vehicle stalls when clutch is depressed, placed back into neutral, when coming to a stop. The stalling happens more frequently after the car has been driven for 15-30 minutes. Stall occurs whil rolling to a stop.
The car has stalled multiple times with the clutch depresed to the floor and in neutral or shifting from second or third to neutral while coming to a stop.
2019 Jetta gli 6mt. Car will stall when coming to a stop in first, second, and neutral. When in neutral, clutch can be either in or out to replicate issue. Has happened when coasting to a stop at <10 mph, as well as when at a stop. Typically takes 2-5 seconds for car to shut down. Car currently has ~600 miles on it, has been happening since I got the car delivered (took delivery at 300 miles due to dealership delivering car to my house).
Vehicle stalls while coming to a stop. The issue has happened four times and I've only had the vehicle two weeks. The clutch pedal is depressed the entire time and the vehicle has to be manually started again.
2019 vw gli manual transmission stalls unpredictably when slowing down with the clutch depressed and/or the transmission in neutral. This has happened infrequently, but unpredictably. So far it has only resulted in horn blowing from the car behind, but if it were to happen when turning in front of oncoming traffic it would be very bad. I have been driving manual for 44 years - it is not operator error. This is the same issue as odi dp 19-003. Started at very low miles, happened most recently at about 2,500 miles.
Car constistently stalls when coming to a stop. Will stall even in neutral with the clutch depressed. Will drive fine sometimes and sometimes it will stall 15+ times in a single trip. It has almost caused an accident when trying to turn in an intersection multiple times now. Started around 1,200 miles on the car and happens frequently.
Takata recall: 2019 vw Jetta gli stalls and turns off while in neutral while stationary, as well as in gear and in motion. This happened on city streets and in parking lots, putting myself and my family in danger. Unsure of issue, but documented with video footage. No engine lights appeared. This happened 20 or more times yesterday, and one time 2 weeks ago.
My brand new 2019 gli keeps stalling when approaching stop or light. This happens when clutch is out and engine in neutral.
Excessive stalling at intersections, almost hit when making a right turn because the car stalled. Restart the car and works fine, but is getting more frequent.
This is a brand new manual transmission Jetta gli with only 160 miles. After driving for about 16 minutes at highway speeds on the expressway, the car quietly stalled out while coming to a stop on an exit ramp. I restarted the car, drove to a stoplight about a minute away and after coming to a stop at that light the car stalled again. Was able to restart the vehicle once again and drive off. This is a very dangerous situation if the car was to stall in the middle of a turn or at high speed on an expressway.
The engine of my new 2019 Jetta gli 6mt sometimes stalls when coming to a stop. The clutch pedal is fully depressed (disengaged), with the stick either in 1st or neutral. This happened 3 or 4 times yesterday, Aug 1 2019, after driving with medium speeds on hilly roads for 30-45 minutes. The vehicle has around 350 miles on it.
2019 Volkswagen Jetta gli 35th anniversary edition 6 speed mt odometer: 408mi built 12/2018 in mexico vehicle intermittently stalls when coming to a stop with no cel. The dealership was unable to recreate or diagnose the malfunction because it's occurrence is intermittent and there are no codes left in the ecm or tcm.
The contact owns a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to platinum Volkswagen - sales (340 w old country rd, hicksville, NY 11801) where the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
I have a Volkswagen Jetta gli 2. 0 turbo. It currently has 55,000. I am having a problem on initial start where by it runs rough, sometimes stalls at idle and sometimes stalls on initial acceleration. This started as a 30 day progress of getting worse. Now the yellow engine light comes on and at the same time the cruise control yellow light appears (intermittent). Computer diagnostics were run. When tests were run as a group no failures reported but when run individually 7 faults occurred including cylinder miss-fires and camshaft adj bank 1 intake error.

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the vehicle randomly stalled without warning. Cook Volkswagen (2110 belair rd, fallston, MD 21047, (410) 401-8684) and the manufacturer were contacted and indicated that this was a known issue, but there was no remedy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was to buy back the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 100.
The problem is with my 2019 manual transmission gli. Even when the clutch is engaged, (foot on the clutch) and the car is coming to a halt, the car stops/stalls. This issue occurs randomly, but once it starts, it keeps happening, until randomly the issue stops showing up. Because of the apparent randomness of when the issue shows up, I have not been able to convince the service folks.
My manual transmission-equipped 2019 Jetta gli (2. 0t) stalls at slow speeds and at stop lights despite the clutch pedal fully engaged ("to the floor") or the vehicle coasting in neutral. I have had the car for three days and in two of those days, the vehicle has stalled while driving through city streets and at stop lights. The first occurrence happen at approximately 100 miles on the odometer, with the second at around 120 miles. The vehicle showed no preemptive signs of a stall, and necessitated a full re-igntiion of the engine in order to proceed out of traffic. A quick search of "2019 Jetta gli/gti stalling issue" returns a large list of identical occurrences with manual transmissions in 2019-built engines/drivetrains.
Vehicle is randomly stalling when coming to a stop and the vehicle must be restarted. This happens regardless of whether the vehicle is in gear, if the clutch is fully pressed to the floor, or if the vehicle is in neutral. This seems to happen more frequently when the air conditioning is turned on. The vehicle is either slowing to a stop or has come to a complete stop when this happens. This has happened on the highway and in the driveway. I am afraid this will happen in the middle of an intersection and cause an accident.
My vehicle started flashing the engine light. Then its started stalling. I turned it off ,waited a couple minutes and it was fine to drive but still had the engine light on. Nothing happened until the next day, the engine light wasnt on anymore. As I was driving at 70 mph it started stalling again. Took it to a shop and they told me I had a couple of codes on. It was cleared just to make sure it wasnt something else. After about 100 miles of driving the engine light turned on again and the car started stalling again at around 65mph. I changed the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. Runs great until another 100miles of driving, it started stalling at around 75mph. Everytime the light comes on, I turn the car off wait a couple minutes and turn it back on with out any signs of misfiring.
Engine misfires while driving or accelerating or slowing. Then vehicle vibrates and stalls. Intermittent and without warning lights on dash. Vw garage could not solve this problem April 11, 2019 and may 7 to 11,2019. Vehicle had recall on coils approximately 2011 and coils were replaced but one failed few months later and manufacturer replaced it. Mileage now is slightly below 40,000. Vehicle has stalled while driving twice and not trustworthy. Policeman helped move vehicle off road once Volkswagen garage advised keep driving to see if problem continues after they switched two coil wires. It has not stopped misfiring of engine.
