on June 10, 2017, I had purchased a brand-new car at prime Volkswagen saco, maine with full warranty on it. September 15, 2017, I was with my kids heading down to connecticut. In route on massachusetts 495 south at one point when I pressed the gas pedal to add more power to the car to speed up the car started to shake. I released the gas pedal no shaking occurred. I then again tried adding gas and it started shaking. I then also noticed my engine light had turned on. I was worried so I decided to slow down and pull over into the emergency lane to see what was going on with the car. In the process of slowing down and pulling over to the emergency lane, you could hear a banging sound to me it seemed to be coming from the engine. I called my road side assistance for them to come check out and check my car and they said they don't do that kind of road side assistance for engines that the vehicle must be brought back to a Volkswagen dealership. So, that night my vehicle was towed back to prime Volkswagen saco, maine where it was originally purchased. Three days later I received a call from the service department at prime Volkswagen and they said the fuel in my tank was not pure diesel fuel, that it was contaminated. They tried to tell me I filled the car with gas instead of diesel fuel. I had brought them the receipt when I last filled my tank. It was the morning of my trip heading down to connecticut. I had filled my car from an empty tank to a full tank at big apple on washington avenue right at the bottom of munjoy hill. On that receipt, it states I used fuel pump number three which is a diesel fuel pump. It also shows how many gallons were fueled and the price. After I showed that receipt to the service department of the dealership they then tried to blame the big apple gas station saying that their fuel pumps are contaminated.

I am a vw fan and I am having serious issues with regards to my vw Jetta 2016 1. 4. Ever since my 1st service I advised the service department that my breaks are making a noise and every time they say it was fine. There is a knocking sound coming from the front left side when it is switched on and stays on and gets worse as you drive. When I purchase the car that sound was not present. Again I was told that there was nothing wrong with it, it is that way was mean to sound that way and that was normal. I then did some research and spoke to various people that have knowledge on vw as well as a previous service manager who told me that is an issue that they are trying to no face it. I was not please to their respond the car has 2,780 miles on it and 6 months since I drove it out of the lot I ask that someone do really need to address this. Then I was told that there will be a representative from vw corporation that will be coming and that he would be the one to have it inspected. This say in October 2016 today is April 2 2017. I am still waiting for that to happen to have the car inspected I am sure I will told now is close to year OH your warranty expired and that I will sit with the responsibility of fixing it myself. I see that happening I want my car fixed properly as I never had any issues with vw before but I am highly disappointed and worry about my safety. I complain and complain and nobody give a dame or nobody seems to care.

The vehicle was valet parked. The valet attendant reported that the vehicle shut down as she was driving it up the ramp out of the parking garage. She also reported a knocking sound and that the "check engine" light was on. Upon entering the vehicle, I was unable to start it. I had the vehicle towed to the vw dealership. They told me that the high pressure fuel pump had failed and that they had seen other cars coming in with this same problem. Service department paperwork states: "defective high pressure pump-metal in system" and "found fault p0191. " vehicle speed at time of incident is estimated based on valet attendant's description.
