Takata inflators despite the fact that I received a notice regarding this recall months ago, there is still no available resolution. I feel uncomfortable, vulnerable and unsafe every time I get in my car. I do not allow passengers in my car due to this issue. Aside from the uneasiness I continually feel, this has created much inconvenience.
Takata inflators: my Passat is on the recall list but I have not received notice of repair from vw. Additionally, they do not have a start date for repairs even estimated. We live in a humid environment (houston, texas) and are very concerned why getting replacement airbags is not a priority given the region we are in.
Takata recall to whom it may concern, on April 2016, I received a safety recall letter from Volkswagen regarding the safety recall 69m9-takata sdi driver frontal airbag. I called my local Volkswagen dealer and they said they still do not have the parts. On may 6, 2016, I called your customer care to express my concern regarding this issue. Today is June 20, 2016 and still do not have a letter from Volkswagen to fix my recall. I am very concern, scared and stressed about this safety recall. As it was mentioned in the letter, ¿takata has reported that the driver frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. ¿ I have also read an event where a fatality accident of a young lady from this takata airbag. I am scared for myself and my children when I drive this vehicle. I am a single mother who purchase this Volkswagen knowing and trusting the name of the quality of this vehicle, but now I worry. I drive this vehicle every day. I only ask is to fix this recall as soon as possible. If the parts is truly not ready, at least provide us a rental car while waiting for it to be fixed.

There hasn't been any remedy or repair to this and there hasn't been any compensation or replacement of the vehicle which is only fair to ask. I am worried that something might happen and it would be too late to do anything about it. As a company manufacturing it, vw should provide us the sense of safety and protection. Also I live in CA, which is state that falls in zone a states with high temperature cycling and humidity and falls into a more risky group. So I need to feel secure in some way and vw is responsible for it.

It has been 6 months since I received notice of the defect. This is ridiculous to allow drivers to be in harms way for this long.
Takata recall. My airbag inflator has not been replaced in over a year-and-a-half since the recall started. Every time I call Volkswagen they tell me there's no fix available. I live in arizona where it's hot and dry can't trade in my car cause the trade in value has plummeted do to safety concerns and non drivability.
Needs replacement of driver airbag inflator ( defective).
I was told that my airbag issue was due to the sensor getting wet and I had to pay to fix it, and then I receive letter saying my inflator is part of recall, the first recall on my car for the daytime driving light still has not fix, its been in the shop at least three times, on top of that you can move the gears in my car without pressing anything or braking. .
