The airbag seat belt sensor or light is on all the time it's common for these types of vehicles of 2004 to 2008. It is a safety issue that should be resolved, I was told it wasnt under warranty or a recall because the vehicle is older than 10 years, but clearly on the website it says under 15 years it should be covered. I wanted to clear this up with Acura service department but they wanted to charge me about $600 for a diagnostic test and almost $2000 for reinstalling an airbag and sensor, which I saw online it's a recall but my cars VIN says I dont have a recall. I already did a diagnostic test thru my mechanic and have all the codes that states it is a recall what can I do? I bought this car used and the airbag seat belt sensor light is always on.

The dashboard panel of my 04 Acura Tl is severely cracked. My concern is if in the event an airbag did deploy due to false sensors or even due to an accident, how much damage will this cause me? I understand that an airbag will annihilate the dash if activated and hopefully damages are minimal but that was tested with a dashboard panel that was fully intact. I'm a little concerned since I also have 98 forerunner and the dash panel is nearly emaculant. I feel there is a manufacturing defect in the plastic in these vehicles that should be recalled and fixed.
Well my air bag sensor, my psa light and my tpsa light is on. All dealing with faulty sensors and electrical issues. And my air bag sensor will come on once in awhile, saying it's off. And from the Acura Tl community 2003 to 2006 have horrible transmissions. Everybody I know and talk to that have a Tl that falls into those years, have had their transmissions either rebuilt or replaced. And nobody ever talks about it. I want to make it known that these vehicles have one of the worst transmissions other than the Honda oddessy but Honda has a recall on there transmissions. So hopefully one day Acura can do the same.

This 2003 Acura Tls was recalled for airbag defect. After 3 visits I am now told I will need a $700 repair to the airbag sensor. It is extremely odd that the 2 items happened at the same time. I believe the two items are one in the same and should have the scope of the recall expanded to encompass this sensor. I noticed another complaint on the same issue with the srs light.

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Acura Tl. The contact stated that upon purchasing the vehicle from an independent dealer the air bag sensor was lit. The contact was not provided with a main key and only had a secondary key. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who did a multi point inspection and indicated that the vehicle was not able to be repaired due to damages from a crash before the contact owned the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer who stated the vehicle was safe but did not diagnose nor repair the vehicle. The contact took further action with no assistance from the dealer and took the vehicle to an authorized dealer to inspect, diagnose and repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired and the air bag sensor continued to illuminate. The manufacturer was notified of the safety concern. The approximate failure mileage was 40,498. Dyd.

First off my driver side power window has never worked. I changed my window motor with the regulator twice. That did not fix my window. I changed my drivers master window module twice. I checked all of the fuses and the power window fuses were good. My power window still doesn't work after $400 in parts and $400 in labor. I took my car to the Acura dealership because my car had a few recalls. The person helping me at the dealership was real rude and disrespectful. He told me the only recall I had was for my srs airbag. He had to order the part. I haven't received a phone call from the dealership to let me know the part was in. Two weeks later I go in and check if the part was I n. The same person that helped me came up to me and had an attitude and was disrespectful again. He told me the part was in but they can't service it that day. They never communicated with me. Horrible service at karen radley Acura. I told the service guy that my car does not want to come out of first gear and there was a recall on my transmission. He was real rude and told me that I had to pay $6000. I did a little research and my 02 Acura Tl type s with my VIN number has many recalls. 1 for my air bags. 2. For my transmission 2nd gear. 3 for my drivers power window. I told this Acura service guy that I had recalls for all 3 things and he laughed at me. My cluster fuse keeps blowing and the code that comes up is for my transmission range sensor. 70+ people with an 02 Acura Tls have had the same issues as me. I just contacted Acura and they told me that the transmission has been completed. No recall has been done on my car. I need help please.

I have had my 2012 Acura Tl to the dealership and told the tech about the airbag sensor being displayed since I bought the car. I had it to the dealership for that one reason one time and the other 2xs, I just mentioned it as I got my oil change and cabin filter. Nothing or no one is in the seat; however it keeps blinking off and on. I have someone in the front seat of my car a lot and I hope that it is not a defect in airbag that would injure someone. I hope it would deploy if it needed to. I have 60,000 miles and have had sooooo many problems with this car. Just had to replace alternator (first time)and battery(for the second time in 2 years). Acura will not do anything as it is already out of warranty. In warranty Acura customer service is great. Out of warrantythey don't really care. Thank you for your time.
The contact owns a 2002 Acura 3. 2 Tl. The contact stated while driving at approximately 10 mph, the air bags independently deployed. The contact was struck by the air bag and sustained unknown injuries as a result. The contact inquired with both the dealer and manufacturer in regards to NHTSA campaign id number: 09v259000 (air bags: frontal: driver side inflator module) and was informed that her VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer would offer no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The current and failure mileages were 139,744.
Srs light comes on when passenger raises up from seat back. Dealer does not repair but just turns light off, which will come back on shortly. Didn't seem to be much of a problem until service advisor said air bags do not work properly when light is on. If that is the case, it seems it should be fixed instead of covered up.

Srs light came on for 4th time; Acura 3. 2tl 2002.
The consumer filed a previous complaint on the srs of the airbag, odi 10137149 . The consumer refused to add this information to her previous complaint and wished to file a separate complaint on the same vehicle. The consumer was having problems with the blower motor resistor that went to the heater, the air conditioner, and with the wiring harness under the dashboard. The wires melted. The consumer did not see flames, but felt there was a fire. The consumer took vehicle to a dealership where she was told it was a safety issue. The consumer contacted Honda manufacturer, who was suppose to call the consumer back. There have been no repairs at this time.
Sudden, loud grinding sound coming from rear disc brakes. At same time, srs indicator light came on. Contacted Acura dealer, clair Acura of walpole MA, unable to service for at least a week, didn't appear concerned about safety issues. Took car to tire/break specialist who immediatley diagnosed total brake failure, calipers were locked frozen. Called Acura dealer, still unconcerned, knew nothing about other vehicles with similar problems. Had car repaired immediatley by break specialist - replaced calipers, rotors, brake fluid, complete brake package.
2002 Acura 3. 2 Tl. The consumer states the srs indicator light comes on. The dealership states it is a faulty opds unit. The problem has not been fixed. There is a service bulletin for this. The light came on approximately 2 months ago and has not gone off.
Air bag light came on intermittently. Dealer serviced the vehicle. Then, consumer rear ended a vehicle at 50 mph. A recall letter was later received by the consumer on the air bag module. Nhtsa recall 02v080000.
Vehicle was being driven when, for no apparent reason, the airbags deployed resulting in a collision that totalled the car. We want the information inside the airbag computer read/extracted. We suspect insurance fraud in this incident.

Problems with air bag frontal sensor / control module. Dealer replaced opds unit and driver's seat belt.
Srs system failure due to faulty part. (nar) the consumer feels that the failure was due to a faulty part or design not wear or tear. The charges were unreasonably high due to poor design. An entire seat assembly should not have had to be replaced to fix an srs sensor.
The airbag system has failed 3 times in 16 months as indicated by the srs warning light on the instrument panel. The system's availability during a crash is questionable.
My 2003 Acura 3. 2tl was put in service in August, 2003. Recently, the srs light has come on and the dealer's service department is now making the second attempt to correct it; however, they advised me in writing as follows: "advised customer not to leave any electrical device on pass seat, will cause light to go off" I. E. , cell phone in my wife's pocketbook could turn srs off. This explanation does not seem plausible. If the system is that sensitive, it is not dependable!.
While driving at 30 mph srs indicator light came on and stayed on. This may result in air bag failure. Dealership replaced the battery, but the problem still exists.
