My incident that I am reporting about is regarding the safety recall on my 2000 Acura Tl -safety recall: multi-model nadi airbag inflator safety recall h6s · Jan 22, 2020 my issue is that I have contacted the dealer in my area on multiple occasions and have been told things such as “they must order the part needed and will get back to me once it has arrived” or they aren’t sure my vehicle was effected by this recall, after I informed them I have a letter stating my vehicle is one of the vehicles effected by the recall, I have takes to multiple different people through phone calls, emails, and even third party services. They never return my calls or attempts to resolve this issue and it is a major safety concern. I don’t know how else to approach this situation.

The Acura dealership inspected my airbag inflator and denied replacement since the airbag number ended with "00" rather than "96", "97", "98", "99". There is no explanation as to why "00" is safe. No one knows at the dealership or corporate office. Am I and others driving with a safe airbag or is it still defective? delayed response from Acura and Honda. No option provided to purchase a new inflator to guarantee safety. Now they are saying tekata seatbelts may also have an issue, and the dealership refused to inspect seatbelt upon request.
My car needs the NHTSA recall 20v-026, drivers airbag inflator replacement. As of today, March 23, 2020, parts are not available to correct this safety defect. The recall notice from Acura states "the airbag inflator could also rupture during deployment, with metal fragments possibly striking the driver or passengers, increasing the risk of serious injury or death. " I am afraid to drive this vehicle based on this possibility. I contacted american Honda consumer affairs (case # 10324034) and requested alternate transportation to be provided at Acura's expense until the parts are available. My request was refused. I am asking NHTSA to intervene and escalate my request for alternate transportation.

I need to make a complaint against american Honda motor CO. , inc. This entity has been sending me letters, calling me and knocking on my door for the last two years about an airbag inflator recall. Each type they contact me I tell them I no longer own this vehicle. It was traded in over two years ago. Even though I may still be registered as the owner, I have no idea who truly owns this vehicle as it was traded in at a dealership. I filled out a vehicle transfer notice over two years ago but Honda Acura keeps contacting me about this recall on a monthly basis, to the date! someone please get them to stop or further advise me if I should just ignore their letters. Thank you!.

There was also a recall April 19,2019 that I was unaware of. I have not received any information pertaining to this matter. According to credit report there have 0 recall repairs. I need to know why I have not been notified and when will action be taken to insure the safety of my vehicle has been addressed and fixed.

Takata inflator,I noticed on passenger side one day around July 1017 a ctack where the airbag is located. I would sure dislike if one of my family passengers of myself for that matter gets hurt due to the airbag popping out for no reason I would like this fixed to avoid a law suit for the company. . Thanks in advance.

Takata recall - other 2003 Acura Tl cars are considered to be in a"high risk population". . . With a very dangerous defect. . . Risk posed by these airbag inflators is grave. . . It is critical they be repaired to avoid more deaths. " the passenger side air bag on my car has not been repaired, nor is it on recall. My VIN number was not in your system when I had it checked. Has my car been overlooked. It had the drivers side air bag fixed in 2015, but the passenger side air bag is takata and has not been fixed. Please look into this. Dsiemers@live. Com I have tried to tell people about this problem. Please look into it.
Why not require replacement of takata airbag on passenger's side as well as for the driver's side? both would create the same hazard that stimulated the original call to replace the inflator for the driver"s side of the automobile!.
"takata recall" I received a letter from Acura automobile division March 2016 advising me of the recall. The letter stated, "Acura will send another letter when parts become available to repair your vehicle. " to date, I have not received a letter from Acura. On July 20, 2016, I called radley Acura), falls church, va and spoke to gabriel to request that the part be ordered. I never heard back from radley Acura. On September 7, 2016, I called tischer Acura, laurel, MD and requested that the part be ordered. I was told that it would take up to eight (8) weeks and I would be notified when the part had arrived. To date (December 7, 2016), I have not heard from tischer Acura. I called tischer Acura today and was referred to someone's voicemail. It is clear that Acura automobile division is not taking the takata recall seriously. Does there have to be another death from the malfunctioning air bag inflator before this problem is fixed? can the NHTSA assist me to get this recall accomplished?.

Takata inflators: I am very dissatisfied with how Honda/Acura is handling the recall of the 2014 Acura Tl awd that I am currently leasing. The two options they offered if I accept either will end up costing me more money and putting more cash in their pocket. I have spent hours on the phone being transferred from one department to another 6 times yesterday without satisfaction to my situation and yes I first went to downtown Acura in chicago to discuss my options. The best deal that they could give me was to trade in my 2014 Acura Tl awd which I am paying $539. 99 a month & lease a 2016 Acura fwd for 527. 43 I do not feel this is a fair apples to apples deal. I am currently leasing an awd I do not want to drive an fwd. To they want $569. 57 a mo. For the next three years for an awd. I would have to pay taxes, transfer of title fees ect. Acura is going to make money in this situation leasing me a more expensive vehicle and I am going to loose money. So who would be making out on this deal? Acura of course. Not only on the increased lease amount but when the part is available for the 2014 Acura they will be able to sell it for a pretty penny seeing as how it will be around 2 1/2 years old with only 21,000 miles on it. To be honest I don't even like the looks of the new Acura 2016. The changes that were made are not appealing to me. Option 2 is to give them the Acura 2014 to sit on their lot while they rent me a Toyota corolla while all the while I am still paying $539. 99 a month for an Acura that I can't even drive. I tried trading it in on a Nissan marano only problem they would lose money trying to get me a reasonable lease payment after having to pay off my lease at $5390. 00. As you can see I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. This entire situation excuse my slang. Sucks! I hope there will be a class action suit started against Honda/Acura.

"takata recall" I received a recall notice from Acura that my 2009 Tl was being recalled for the airbag inflator. On the recall notice it states "the defect in these vehicles could kill or injure you or other people in your vehicle". It advises to take the car to the dealer to have a new airbag ordered and if wanted, receive alternate transportation. The dealer did offer alternate transportation with which you agree to park the recalled vehicle until repairs are made. The only problem is the dealer advised they have no procedures to install the new airbag nor do they have the parts. The dealer advised it could take until September 2016 or maybe even longer, before the repair can be made. The dealer advised they have no further information beyond what has just been stated. If my car sits for another five months or longer there is no consideration for the depreciation of my vehicle while it is parked. Why not? also, how great is the hazard as the dealer advised some owners are continuing to drive their vehicle awaiting the replacement of the airbag. Remember, the recall notice states "these vehicles could kill or injure you". So the consumer is left with the decision to risk life and limb or park the vehicle with no idea when it would be repaired! I cannot trade the car with this recall notice pending and expect to get full value for it. Acura advised they would not provide any additional compensation other than the rental car. Who is negotiating on behalf of the consumer? what is my real risk driving this vehicle? why was compensation not part of the agreed to recall that was negotiated? why is the ntsb leaving it up to consumers to assess the risk to themselves and their family? what is being done to accelerate the replacement of these airbags? I have been asking for over two years if my vehicle had a takata airbag and was told they did not know.

Takata recall a little over three years ago my dashboard started to crack on the right side of the passenger airbag/compartment and has since continued to continue to crack around the airbag as well as severely damage the entire dashboard of my vehicle. Neither my local dealership nor the manufacturer accept responsibility or fault in this defect that could be fatal to my passengers, myself and other consumers who's VIN is said to not to be impacted despite takata recalls impacting the other Honda vehicles and being a widespread recall across the vehicle manufacturing industry. No repairs or replacements requests have been "necessary" nor covered by my local Acura dealership despite the Acura owners recall link communication regarding the inflator recall. Please continue to read and escalate these complaints as many of us are impacted by this defect & are powerless. I have been the owner of this vehicle since 2009 and this is my only means of transportation since purchasing and paying off and my passengers and myself continue to be in danger of fatality due to these defects without manufacturer accountability or support.

Received a safety recall concerning my 2002 Acura 3. 2 Tl. On October 8th, 2009 (which was a scheduled appointment) I took the car in to have issue checked out and corrected (hall Acura location #7 in newport news, va. ) after the dealer looking over the car they came to me with a list of items that supposedly needed to be done. All but 1 item had been done that should have been my first clue that this was a shady dealer. The service advisor said they could get me a rental car and have these items fixed plus fix the recall for the airbag inflator. Of course I did not get the extra work done since it had already been done, and the service advisor said it would be 2 weeks for the part to come in. At that time I thought it was funny that they could have had the safety recall fixed if I was willing to spend money on unnecessary repairs. Well to get to the issue it is now 2 months and I have not received any correspondence whether phone, email (which they are always emailing incentives to buy another car). This is very disturbing since the car is driven by my 76 year old mother and god forbid something happens. If you could please get on top of this and let me know what my next steps are. I have a very bad taste in my mouth with this dealership. I have dealt with the peninsula Honda for years and have never had any issues like this with my Honda accord. The funny part is the car was bought at hall's Acura dealership in chesapeake va.
1997 Acura 3. 2 Tl faulty airbag. My Acura recently displayed a srs error. I brought the car into radley Acura in falls church where they told me that a potentially faulty airbag is not covered by Acura and that to have the airbag replaced to prevent it from either deploying randomly or not deploying at all it would cost me over $1200.
