My brand new car stalled in the middle of traffic; as I proceeded to step on the gas peddle after yielding -- the car completely stoped as is I hit a wall, it jerk roughly and completely stopped. At first I thought someone rear-ended me, but that wasn't the case, the car just stalled, and the "Audi pressure sensor" warning flashed across the screen in bright big letters for a few seconds, and once the waring went away, the car turned back on. This event happened twice, about 40 days apart. My life was at risk because if I was on the expressway, the complete stop of vehicle could have cause an accident. The car completely stoped, it doesn't slow down, it just stoped roughly, very dangerous situation. I called the dealer and I have an appointment in 2 days, meanwhile I won't take the car on the expressway, or drive it if I don't have to. I'm frighted the 3rd time I won't be so lucky and someone may hit me from behind.

The contact owns a 2014 Audi A4. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, a message advising to stop the vehicle immediately was displayed. The contact pulled into a parking lot, where the contact noticed that coolant was leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the coolant pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The local dealer and another dealer, Audi north atlanta (11505 alpharetta hwy, roswell, GA 30076), were then notified of the failure, but the contact was not informed that the VIN was included in a recall related to the failure. The vehicle was repaired by the independent mechanic. The contact later became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 18v229000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the contact had not received a recall notification in the mail. The contact submitted a claim for reimbursement to the manufacturer, but the reimbursement was denied. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

The thermostat and it's house is failing on my of the 2017 Audi A4 causing the coolant water to leak which makes the car heat up quickly due to leak and not having sufficient coolant water. So many of the b9 generation of Audi A4 owners are also complain about this issue. Audi is charging $2500 to fix this known issue.

I purchased this vehicle on 10/16/2022 and the very next day took it back and informed them that it was leaking oil. It was repaired and from that point on it was telling me to add a quart of oil once every week. Was diagnosed by the Audi dealership of the pistons needing to be replaced and that my car fell under the lawsuit that has yet to be settled. Was told I could spend the 9k to fix the car and be reimbursed. Audi really needs to be fixing all vehicles with these issues. That is just insane to pay 9k to fix a vehicle when I just got it and have barely been able to drive it.

Symptom of low coolant in overflow reservoir; below minimum line. Pressure test concluded leak in thermostat/water pump part. Appears to be a rampant problem spanning over a decade and affecting multiple trims and redesigns (I. E b8/b9 redesign/updates). Safety put at risk for possible vehicle fire or high pressure damage for engine coolant/radiator. The problem was reproduced and confirmed at a local (non-Audi dealership) repair shop. They stated that the low level of coolant was due to a small leak in the thermostat/water pump housing. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance. It will soon be in the local Audi dealership for a second opinion and/or possible resolution. I received a warning indicator on the dash and written pop up message on the dash board that indicated low coolant reservoir level. No obd codes were collected by the independent service shop. They said that non were being displayed or read besides what was displayed on the dash.
The vehicle has an oil consumption issue whereby I top off the oil in about every 400 miles. The dealership indicated that this is a known problem with Audi. The issue first started with warnings that engine is overheating and with further warnings that oil level is low.

Water pump prematurely failed. Upon self inspection, I noticed the coolant reservoir was below the minimum requirements. I asked the dealer to inspect, and they determined the cause was a faulty water pump. At around 50,000 miles, this water pump should not have failed under normal use. I am fortunate I self inspected, as continued use may cause premature engine failure due to overheating. Overheating would cause spontaneous vehicle operation failure during normal driving conditions, stalling the vehicle on a road or highway, putting myself and others at risk for impact.

Anti-freeze started coming out from the bottom of my vehicle. . . Seems like that is a water pump issue, also I seen that I'm not the only person with this same issue with Audi A4. . . This should be a recall to resolve this problem. . . . Thank you.
The contact owns a 2003 Audi A4. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated, lost motive power and stalled without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to restart and there was steam coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the residence where an independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the vehicle had experienced a similar failure to NHTSA campaign number: 14e007000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and notified of the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the VIN was necessary to check for recalls. The failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was not available.

I have continued to notice increasing oil consumption on my 2012 Audi A4. I have mentioned this to my dealership, however they kept dismissing it as an old car. I noticed that there have been numerous reports of this with Audi vehicles. I requested for 2 part oil consumption test, which failed. Nonetheless, they keep suggesting that there is nothing to be done. Please advise, if this meets concern similar to other consumers with this issue.

With out warning vehicle engine shut down in the middle of the highway causing loss of power to breaks and steering. Mechanics assessment states engine is mechanically or electrically blocked. Upon investigating issue I found numerous law suits regarding engine piston failure. Please see civil action docket number l-001632-21. Found on class action . Org.
Engine light on dealership found a rodent nest in the engine space in the car. Dealership considers that fluids used to coat Audi engine wiring attract rodents. Dealership considers this to be a health and safety issue. Dealership considers it essential to replace the Audi air filter. Dealership is checking wires to assess any gnawed damage. I need the engine to be power-washed and the nest area treated w/bleaching agents. I do not have the total estimate on this but it will be greater than $1,000.
I have a 2013 Audi A4 2. 0. I was driving home at night close to my home and the car started puttering and wouldn’t go and I found out that the timing chain had “jumped” and caused sudden engine failure. I later found out that same issue is the subject of class action lawsuits for the second time around because Audi didn’t properly take action after the first suit and repair the issue, which is apparently a major problem with my model and other class vehicles and instead continue to let people unknowingly buy and drive these cars.
Random engine coolant warning. Since purchase of vehicle mid-March 2022, I have randomly received engine coolant warnings on the dashboard. Visual checks of the coolant reservoir reveal no issues. Internet search of issue reveals a number of other owners have had the same problem. Issue has occurred at all speeds and temperature conditions.
My 2017 Audi A4 quattro is now five years old. There is only 26,000 miles on the vehicle. Mostly local miles. I noticed drops of red fluid on the garage floor under the engine compartment. My mechanic investigated and found the issue to be leaking coolant from the thermostat/pump housing. It is obvious that the leak has been occurring for awhile as there is dried white residue all around this area. The engine cover under the engine compartment was all wet with coolant. The coolant reservoir was also low. The car's information system did not indicate an issue, but I am sure it would have eventually (at probably a very inconvenient time and location ! ). I've noticed several other Audi owners complain about this same issue. This will no doubt be an expensive repair which is totally unacceptable for a car like this with such low mileage.
The car is completely not safe it seems to have a mind of its own and that’s saying that I’ve maintained everything up to par and it’s still a safety hazard.

This is my second time contacting you in reg. This vehicle, it was previously in the shop for the same repairs the engine was replaced and the coolant system was fixed, now it has been about two mo and again it is having issues with the coolant system and now transmission issues, I also just found out that this vehicle was in a accident in 2014, in which I was told t had not been, so I am currently reaching out to the Audi dealership trying to receive previous service history done to vehicle oasis report. I feel this vehicle is a safety hazard, I am a single mom and grandmother and I do not feel safe in this vehicle and wish I was informed of previous accident. In the time I have had the vehicle it has spent over 30 days in the shop and now its back in there.
Ok before my previous incident it must’ve been 2 weeks ago that my car just sped up and broke on it’s on on a 65 mile road it’s to the point that I’m very hesitant to drive the car but it’s my only means of commute it’s just a total safety problem and I don’t feel safe one bit.
Engine auto start / stop engages before vehicle comes to complete stop and when on a road with an incline the engine shuts off and all forward momentum is lost causing the vehicle to roll backwards. The closest description I can think of is that it feels like the automatic transmission is slipping which should not happen on a car with 2,000 miles on it. I previously drove a 2019 A4 and the older model did not have this issue. Safety issue is that engine shuts off prematurely and when on an incline the car can roll backwards. Component is available for inspection and there is warning light/indication. Has not been taken to dealer yet but plan to next week. Reporting it now due 1) how jarring it is 2) it has happened multiple times since taking possession of the car in December 3) I have not experienced this with older Audi’s I have owned or driven as service loaners 4) there is no way to permanently disable auto start/stop offered by Audi USA and requires after market software changes.

The engine failed while I was driving. The car did not show any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms, it just jumped and died. I had the car towed to my mechanic. The mechanic thought it was the starter, but then realized the chain had broken and it hit other parts of the engine, including the pistons catastrophically. The engine is not reparable. My safety was a risk as the car died on a busy road. Audi has asked that I bring the car, at my expense for them to inspect, without offering anything. I have a letter from them indicating that they will not help.
The engine had catastrophic damage. I was driving, full oil, and the engine just died. The mechanic said the engine was destroyed and believes it was a manufacturing mistake.
Excessive oil consumption.
This car has a known issue with the water pump housing leaking well before the expected lifespan of said part/gasket and Audi has not issued a TSB regarding it. It's unacceptable that a luxury car needs such a major repair with few miles (many users are experiencing this well before 40k miles) and if you are out of the original warranty, you're stuck with a $1k+ bill. My car with just about 47k miles on it has been slowly leaking from this part for about a year now and will need to be fixed soon as my coolant level is dropping steadily.
Significant leaking from water pump and thermostat housing.
The coolant light came on after I replaced coil packs and I stopped to look wasn't leaking anywhere. Drove to work and it caught on fire due to overheating I guess not really sure. I was driving a car on fire down a highway and didn't even know it. I stopped to take a left turn into work and smoke stared billowing out and around the entire car. Other drivers couldn't see me or nothing I could have been in an accident. The fire department checked the car out sort of and it's in a mechanics shop now. Trying to figure it out. Oil light was on and that's it. An then the coolant light would kick on and off. Nothing else after I changed the coil packs. And it was well after I did that.
2013 Audi A4 with a 2. 0 turbo engine approximately 62. 5k miles and up to date with all services. I was driving on the highway at highway speeds when the engine suddenly started to misfire with a partial loss of power making the car difficult to steer. At that time the check engine light was not illuminated. I was able to get off the highway and drive home about 2 miles away from when the misfires first occurred. The police did not get involved as I was able to return home. The following week the car was towed to my mechanic where it was diagnosed that cylinder 3 had a problem. At that time the check engine light illuminated. He recommended that I tow my car to the Audi dealership as they have better availability of parts. The dealer took apart the engine and diagnosed a broken piston ring which destroyed many other parts of the engine. The engine had to be replaced with a new one from the factory. Audi should be held accountable for catastrophic engine failures that may result in injury to others due to poor engine design.
The contact owns a 2010 Audi A4. The contact stated that while, driving at an undetermined speed the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where diagnosed the timing chain tensioner needed to replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where informed there was low compression. The manufacturer was notified however no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
While driving on the highway, there was a message that flashed on the dashboard about the coolant system, within a couple minutes, I felt like the car was shutting down while going 65 miles per hour. So I pulled over on the shoulder of the turnpike southbound in miami. This cased a great safety problem for me, as this happened while I was driving on the highway then I had to be on the right shoulder of the highway and had to call for road ranger. When the road ranger came to inspect the car, he tried to add coolant and realized that there was a fuel leak, the car would not start, the coolant drained completely out of the car. I then had to call aaa to get the car towed.
Timing chain broke at approximately 104k miles.
Coolant leakage and pump problem for engine cooling. Unit was replaced.
The contact owns a 2012 Audi A4. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the check engine and low oil pressure warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine coils and spark plugs to be replaced. While driving after the vehicle was repaired, the vehicle experienced the same symptoms as before with the addition of loss of power steering and power brakes. The contact stated that the steering wheel was difficult to turn and difficult for the brake pedal to be depressed. The contact was unable to restart vehicle and the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
The contact owns a 2012 Audi A4. The contact stated that an error message appeared on the instrument panel regarding the gear box module. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer Audi memphis (1825 covington pike, memphis, TN 38128) who replaced the gear box however, the failure persisted while accelerating. Additionally, the low-pressure fuel pump fault message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 94,000.
Apparently Audi had. Are all for this car because of a bad cylinder state forced Audi to do a recall on the car I just payed 7k for this car and the cylinder is bad Audi doesn't wanna help me unless I pay but it's an issue straight from Audi which is not fair of Audi to do that to their customers even if I didn't buy the car from Audi it is still a problem from their end even the government forced them to do the recall but the time frame of the recall is over now and I don't know what I can do do I just lose 7k down the drain.

Brucken motors, I purchased an Audi A4 that was advertised on your facebook as safe, reliable, and dependent. I came to you with a down payment in hand, stating that I needed a car that drove without issues. I can afford minor repairs, but I wanted something with a clean history and service record. Zachary laney, the salesman, claimed that there was nothing wrong with this car. I asked about the headlight and was told, "OH no, it's just a bulb! I will buy it so you can replace it. " asked about any issues and was told the car was absolutely clean. Sure enough, less than a week after I bought it, it started acting up. I took it to the mechanic to remedy the issue, paid out of pocket even though I was sold a warranty (mistake number two on your part) that I was told would cover most issues. My mechanic is experienced and has taken care of many cars, and sure enough, the issue was not fixed. It was only covered up with makeup per say. I gave it another chance and the vehicle broke down again. This vehicle, which mind you, I put a 4000 dollar down payment on, pay a 17!!!! percent interest rate even though I was told 7 and lied to on paper, is costing me over 470 a month for just the payment. Let alone the repairs. I haven't driven the car a month. Literally. I've paid on it for four months, and it's been in the shop. I let you guys know this and was ignored constantly. I was told that the check engine codes were cleared at one point which means that you knew this vehicle was bad. Ontop of it all, this car was stolen and had title issues. There was also minor damage and a long service history.
