Front Air Bag Sensor Control Problems of Audi A4

Faulty Audi A4 pods sensor despite previously replacing recalled connector. Passenger airbag deactivates and causes frequent dash alarms. Replacement / repair not covered under manufacturer or extended warranties. Quoted repair by Audi dealership $1700 out-of-pocket for an obviously faulty component that seems to be affecting numerous Audi vehicle models and years $1700.

While driving the vehicle on a highway going straight at ~65mph the passenger side curtain and seat airbags deployed for no reason. Vehicle manufacturer cited a "crash" signal from side impact sensor was the cause of the false deployment. No physical cause could be found, no damage was found on vehicle and all airbag system wiring was found to be intact and original. Manufacturer would not own failure and cited the vehicle being lowered as the cause. Manufacturer was unable to provide any evidence for this conclusion and vehicle is well within local laws/regulations for lowered vehicles.

: the contact stated the airbag light illuminated four times. Took vehicle to dealer each time, but dealer was unable to solve the problem. The dealership cleaned the sensor on the driver's side seat, repaired the airbag, replaced the driver side airbag, and performed wiring repairs. The repairs were minor and only lasted for a brief period.

The air bag light illuminated intermittently. The owner's manual indicated that the air bag may not operate in an accident when the light is illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a checkup but was unable to find the cause of the problem.

02 v 131 001/fmvss 201 air bag deployment & 04 v 357 000/camshaft position sensor/mil: the consumer received both of these recall notices and was unable to locate a authorized service center within her area.

The consumer has experienced the following problems: the driver seat motor is inop/lumbar motor/rocks back/forth, the left headlight(moisture collection in the inside due to weather/car wash), the airbag control unit defective, the seat air bag torn, the strap on driver seat belt does not lower/stuck, wires were found damaged under the carpet, and the vehicle has shifting problems/not shifting easily-failed. The consumer also request for the dealer to buy back the vehicle and or compensate the consumer for the time without the vehicle. Scc.
