I got several recalls regarding my BMW 330xi 2006 airbag. The airbag recall mentioned the airbag system failing to work. Called an authorized dealer, the dealers said the part has not yet been available.

Takata recall - I've called multiple times in the past year and stopped by the local dealership to get my name on the list about 2 months ago. I can not get an appointment to replace my air bag.

I've gotten notice's in the past about my air bags, and each time I have tried to make appointments to get this matter taken care of I've never gotten an response. How can I get this matter taken care of when I can't get confirmation of service available or loaner vehicle if it is going to take more than an few hour's. My srs light stays on at all times.

Takata recall I called 1 877 432 7841. After explaining that I lived hundreds of miles from the nearest BMW dealer, I was told by the phone rep that my case would be accelerated and that I would be hearing back by phone. I waited days, but no one ever called me. I then called 1-800-831-1117. I got bounced around and was finally connected with a BMW dealer in idaho falls, almost 500 miles from my home in rosebud, montana. The person who spoke to me was very young, had a poor attitude, and wanted to order me around. She ignored all my pleas. I am 65 years old and drive hundreds of miles per week for my usda job. I thus do not have the physical stamina or time to drive to idaho falls. Nevertheless she told me I had to drive to idaho falls for a Saturday appointment. She informed me that any expenses I incurred (gasoline, lodging, etc. ) had to come out of my own pocket and that I would not be reimbursed. I begged her to have the airbags sent to a mechanic or body shop near me in montana. She refused. I ended the conversation and sent an sos email to the dot. The dot has never answered my email.

Takata recall hello, I received a recall notice in the mail for my vehicle. As I checked the nhts system, it stated that both passenger and driver airbag system needed a recall. Takata recall - I received a notice by mail that my car is subject to two recalls. I will have these recalls performed at BMW dealer soon. I request being part of the class action lawsuit.

"takata recall" I've received confirmation my vehicle is one of the vehicle apart of the takata recall. I'm a single father of a 13 yr old son. Knowing the danger my son has been in all of this time has shaken my core comfort zone to dust. I'm now in the process to correct this bad airbag currently in my vehicle. My son's future has been placed in rusk and that will not be left unchecked by means available. I was hit with my son in the car and the bad airbag didn't deploy, thank god!.

Passenger restraint system. Fault in passenger-restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensioner or belt-force limiter. The airbag stays off even after having a passenger on the front passenger seat. I also get a seatbelt sign even if the seatbelt is worn by the passenger. Went to dealer asking for $200 to check problem and $500 to repair.

I bought a used 2001 BMW 330ci 2dr coupe on the date of may 5th 2017. I had this vehicle for a very short amount of time approximately 7 weeks time. The takata air bag was present in this model, on top of that the well known overheating issue came my way. My model would overheat at the point where the auxiliary electrical fan would not kick in to avoid overheating. Electrical stability was at lost due to these present issues. Oddly enough the fan would actually run in reverse polarity pushing air out of the engine when it should be pulling the air in. While driving on a city street my car overheated causing me to break down, a thermostat issue could be present all of this occurred in motion.

Hi I have two BMW's that qualify for this recall. I learned about it 6 weeks ago. My fianc� and I havnt been able to use our vehicles in almost 2 months! I even called and went to the BMW of and they said they would order the air bag for the one and our second car they would write the order up when I left the dealership . Needless to say I even brought over a dealership memo from BMW because I work in the auto industry and have acesss to identifix. Com, I showed them the notice where they have to give customers loaner vehicles or pay up to $68 a day for a rental car. They keep ignoring my calls.

1-10-2017 approx. 5:15pm. Driving home on I-80 freeway, rainy weather, 5pm traffic, so I was driving less than 55mph, there is some rough road but not really any potholes. I drove over the bad road and the driver curtain and door airbags deployed there was never any impact but the road did shake the car. There is no damage to the car that from the road. I drive the same route home in our other car daily and it never sets the air bag off or anyone else driving that extremely busy freeway.

I had both air bags replaced under the takata recall and now I'm getting a "passenger restraint system malfunction" error on my display. There is an open recall NHTSA campaign id number: 08v384000 that is for the same issue and for my model and year but the VIN is not showing that recall. The error happened just when the car was started and it shows whether someone is sitting in the passenger with the seatbelt on or if the seat is empty. I am worried that the airbag won't deploy in the case of an emergency. Please let me know if this would be included in the recall as well for a safety issue. I've called BMW and was told this would not be covered either.

The air bags deployed and that metal fragments struck the contact in the mouth. The contact sustained injuries to the mouth and lost a tooth. Medical attention was required. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a junk yard. A police report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. I refrain from driving the car and have less than 400 miles in the last year, but still have to pay for insurance, inspection, license. I have been postponing repairs, but I don't want to spend more money on a car that I shouldn't drive.

"takata recall"- we received a letter dated September 2016 about the recall of the passenger airbag and our car was included in the recall. It says " your vehicle is also affected by a passenger airbag recall" and " we are pleased to inform you that we have the necessary parts to complete this recall". Prior to the letter ( August 26, 2016), this particular car had changed oil at pacific BMW and checked the airbag and noted " recall: performs recalls/ replace driver's airbag/ parts not available at this time/ unable to perform recall". They adviced me to contact the dealership on this matter, we contacted on the following month but they said " there was no available parts" and they would call us once it's available. It's been 6 months now and we haven't receive any call or advice from the dealership ( pacific BMW ) about the availability of the said airbag recall and when to replace it. Our car just sitting in the garage or we barely use it because of this airbag recall and afraid to put myself and my family in danger. I really need your help to resolve this matter. Takata recall repair parts still not available. . . Original notification date July 2015. I have not been involved in an accident. . . Merely want the recall program implemented on my vehicle.

Initital recall was issued over 6 months ago and the parts necessary for repair are still not available.
