Front Air Bag Problems of Cadillac Deville

The contact's daughter was driving when the front air bags deployed. The contact's daughter said she did not run over anything in the road or impacted another vehicle or object. A police report was not taken, but they confirmed there was nothing in the road she ran over to cause the air bags to deploy. The dealer was inspecting the vehicle to determine the reason why the air bags deployed.

While driving, the frontal air bags deployed for no apparent reason which caused damaged to the vehicle. The consumer also suffered injuries from the air bag deployment. The consumer stated the vehicle did not hit anything.

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 25-30 mph. Upon impact, none of frontal air bags deployed. Dealer was notified. In a frontal collision the radiator, the right head light completely smashed,and left head light was slightly damaged, one person was injured in the accident.

During accident, details unknown, neither airbag deployed. Speed was 34mph, vehicle totaled. Driver was killed due to neck injuries.

Consumer passed out and vehicle went through a t intersection and crashed into the front of an abandoned house, neither airbag deployed, causing injury to driver, vehicle was totaled.

Consumer was driving at approximately 35-37 mph when another vehicle turned left in front of consumer ,hitting it head-on, and causing consumer to fly foward and hit head against the roof near the sunvisor. On his way down back into the seat, dual airbags deploye, but it did not inflate, causing a loss of protection and injuries.

Consumer was traveling about 30mph on a side road in rainy weather. There was a gun fire noise, and a bad smell and white smoke was inside of vehicle. Passennger's airbag went off without prior warning, and there wasn't any accident. No injuries reported.

Consumer was backing out from his garage, and both airbags went off. The dealership came out to pick up the car and they told him nothing about his airbags.

Car was stopped and at idle at traffic light. Right side door air bag deployed for no apparent reason hitting my wife in the side and giving her a large bruise about 3 inches in diameter. I did not feel safe driving this vehicle. I took it directly to ed martin Cadillac in anderson, in and traded the car for another one (7/30/99) at my loss, as Cadillac would not replace the car. As far a I know, the car is still at ed martin's.
