I have been hearing a noise in the front end for a few weeks and I had the tires replaced but it did not cure the problem. I have found out that I need a hub assembly which is $500 for the part alone and I need an idler arm which I have taken my vehicle in faithfully for maintenance to the dealership and they never told my about it and just said to watch the tires. Obviously with the wear on my tires (outside wear) they should of have known. I have been in twice for the front end replacement of bushings and many other things and I also have heard from many people having the same problem as I have with the hub assembly. Not everyone has $500 to just fork out. Please help.

Defective hub was leaking grease onto the sensor causing it to fail and resulting in the abs light illminating. Nlm.
The front hub assemblies are both in need of replacement, but they cannot be purchased anywhere in our area, except at dealerships for 3 times the auto cash and carry stores. We feel that the year and miles on the Blazer are not consistant with having the bearings go bad. . . On both sides. Chevrolet is of no help to us. This is the third major repair to the vehicle since we purchased it. Two days after purchase the service light came on, and stayed on. That was secondary air pump failure, and cost $241. 51 to repair. Two days later it was back on. We also had to replace severly pitted rotors within the first 4 months of ownership. Any help with these hub assemblies would be greatly appreciated. We feel we have purchased a "lemon" and heinrich motors is of absolutely no help in resolving the matter.
