The problem I'm having is when I have my heat turned on I will get a smell of like burnt oil coming through my air vents. I was told it was something to do with the crankshaft but the last time I was told it was something with the valve cover gasket. I can smell it more once I have come to a stop after driving.

I purchased this vehicle at anaheim auto hub last June 6, 2020 for my daughter. Couple months later it started leaking and smells like burning oil. And the stabili track sensor and the traction control sensors came on. And, as well as the key got stuck inside the ignition couple of times. So I took it the mechanic to get the leaks fix. The mechanic found that the valve cover gasket leak and valve timing solenoid. So the mechanic replaced the valve gasket cover and the valve timing solenoid leak, and right after that being said, one week later we found leaking so, I took it back to mechanic again, now they found 3 different leak, from the oil cooler leak, engine oil pan gasket and leaking on engine timing cover gasket. And I found 7 recalls on this vehicle that has never fix. And I am the new owner and I just fining this out. Here are the recalls that have not been resolve on 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eco: recall subject: air bags/ campaign# 13v23000 recall subject: air bags / campaign# 12v522000 recall subject: engine & engine cooling / campaign# 12v288000 recall subject: fuel system, gasoline storage tank, assembly mounting / campaign# 12v289000 recall subject: service brakes, hydraulic, power assist / campaign# 13v360000 recall subject: power train, automatic transmission control module (tcm, pcm).

Car kept smelling like burning oil. The passenger compartment always smelled like burning oil. At one point, ryan almost fell asleep at the wheel after a drive to work in the winter because of the interior air quality. We brought it in and the turbo charger oil cooler pipes were leaking including the feed and the return.
Burning oil smell started after an oil change. I have replaced the intake tubing that leads in the turbo because when I replaced the throttle position sensor in the turbo area, there was oil in the turbo intake. It has lost some power since I started experiencing the burning smell. It now smells like plastic burning since replacing the intake tubing/gasket.
"takara recall" my 14 chevy Cruze turbo when out, there is a recall on some of the 14 chevy Cruze but the cut off date was in March and my car was manufactured in June. Car has totaled loss of power and starting to smell oil burning.
I bought the 2011 Chevrolet cruz in 2014, I used the car primarily for work so throughout the first few years I didn't notice anything strange as it remained parked most the time. When I did start driving it as a primary vehicle the first issue I had was the clutch and gear system seemed to be touchy when the car was in park, resorting to me using the emergency brake every time I would park it. At the time it didn't seem to be a big issue as it became a habit. In 2016 shortly after this my oil consumption and turbo failed, and the vehicles exhaust started blowing blue smoke and the car lost all power. As this was a new car I took it to a mechanic and had vehicles turbo replaced. Just over a year later in 2018 the vehicle is exhibiting the exact same effects such as removing and replacing the eco,1. 4l engine, turbocharger, evacuate and replace air conditioning system, and transfer of the fuel and electrical assemblies and engine mounts. I'm almost certain this car is defective and needs to be recalled.
A recall on the valve- cover gasket potentially causing a fire from oil leakage has been reported in the local paper, but not on my make/model. I have the oil leakage and can smell it burning off something. This was not a problem until after the dealership had to rebuild my transmission. My car has 74,000 miles.
Smells like burning oil took car to my mechanic and said there is some oil spilling on side of engine.
The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that the engine oil was burning and caused an odor to emit from the vents of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer on three occasions where the turbo return line was replaced each time, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed that the engine oil was leaking on the engine, the catalytic converter, and other hot surfaces. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the pcp cover was replaced along with other unknown repairs, but the failure persisted. The contact mentioned that when the air conditioner was activated, the contact smelled the odor of burning engine oil. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and opened case number: 8/284/0793442. The approximate failure mileage was 50,660.
We had purchased the vehicle just 8 months ago, was not purchased new, but was new used. . Still under warranty. . We received the recall. Had an oil change and detail to do anyhow, so took it in to where we bought the vehicle. They did the oil change, supposed recall fix and supposed detail. Our vehicle was still under warranty at the time of the oil change. 36000. As we drove, started smelling burning oil. . . Never occurred before. Opened hood and noticed an oil leak below the vehicle into the engine shield. Being out of warranty by that time, we did nothing. Just figured they did an improper oil change and it was leaking. Today, we discovered while checking the oil that it had gas in the oil chamber. In pulling the dip stick out, it leaked all over the engine. . I quickly smelled of it, smelled like gas. My husband drained it, as we were four hours from home, replaced the oil with new. When we returned home, checked oil. 1/3 quart of gas had contained itself in the oil chamber on our small road trip. So, now we have a 2011. 43,000 mile new car with gas in engine oil and leaking. . Any suggestions??.
During acceleration I smell gas, oil burning, exhaust fuels in my car. I have taken it to the dealer who keeps stating it running like it should. Now I believe my warranty is over and my new car functions like its 20 years old. I can't get them to believe me and I don't believe they even bother test driving it. I mentioned the smell when I brought my car in for them to replace my turbo charger that malfunctioned. Ever after.
