TSB # 16-na-015 engine stall or stumble, ignition coil wire fretting. I can not figure out why this is not a safety recall. Other than g. M. Not interested in being responsible. My car stalled while driving and I had no brakes and no steering. It dont take a lot of thinking as to what can and will happen without brakes and steering. My car was towed to the dealership and the above issue was confirmed. The TSB was issued 1-21-2016 and all 2011-2014 may be affected. Please advise me with a follow up on this major problem. This is my second report on this with no response. This wont go away by ignoring the issue. Lets take care of this before accidents.

Engine stalls out when trying to accelerate over 30mph and after 5-10 seconds the engine unstalls and car shoots forward. Problem happens more frequently when the air conditioning is running. Took car to dealership for warranty service and service advisor said that his 2010 Cruze had the same problem. Service techs could not diagnose the issue and said nothing could be done to resolve the issue.

Ive had my car for 2 years now. After the first year I began noticing the engine would be going at a steady speed and if you began to accelerate the engine would rev or stall and the rpms shoot up. The only way to keep it from producing the actions is to slowly accelerate. The engine is sluggish and does this while in cruise control. . After getting the complete read, it was said the 02 sensors were out. The engine is now to the point it will randomly be going and the engine light will start flashing and all speed is reduced. They were replaced, but the problem persisted. The car stalls out so often I refuse to take it in to cities or onto the interstate. I will be going back to a truck after this is paid off! will be going to the dealership this week!.

While cruising along the highway at 65 mph, suddenly the engine stalls as if all the fuel had stopped going to it. After a few seconds of stall and slowing down while pressing on the gas all the time, it suddenly began picking up speed again. However, there was an extremely large cloud of smoke coming out the rear of the car. This occurred 4-5 more times before I arrived at home. I took it to the dealer the next business day. After several days the dealer reported the problem would be covered by warranty. Three weeks later I get the car back from the dealer who reported the engine had "bad pistons". Apparently there had been a notice to dealers regarding this problem and how to fix it. The dealer did provide a new loaner malibu while repairing my car. At 40,000 miles and have to have the engine rebuilt does not enhance confidence in the new gm.
Engine has stalled acceleration also known as throttle lag it is dangerous because you don't know when its going to do it and could cause an accident when pulling out into traffic . Also transmission has a delayed engaging intraffic when you are stopped.
Purchased 4/25/2012. After driving a little, noticed lack of power, easily stalls, something rolling around in the trunk lid, console piece gaped out, passenger side tail lamp inside trunk bent, engine shutters (after 500 miles it started) when turned on and off. The lack of power and engine stalling are the major safety concerns. When in a stopped position, the car will stall when the clutch is operated correctly. While making a right hand turn from a stop sign, onto route 30, at a blind intersection, the car would not move, once I let the clutch out and was in 1st gear, the car just did not move, I had the gas pushed to the floor and I was only moving inches forward. I was scared, I had my child in the car with me, a tractor trailer could have come up on me 50+ mph hit me or swerved to miss me and hit someone else. The car finally moved after about 45 sec. I then got up to speed in 6th gear. The car then again lost power, I had to down shift from 6th gear to 4th gear to get speed built back up. I got home, about 2 miles, was upset and scared, called apple Chevrolet, the car sat until I drove it to the dealership 35 mins from my home the next morning. I told them that it does not happen every day so the chances of it happening again are slim. This would be the 3rd visit to the service dept for the lack of power complaint. I drove with the tech anyway knowing that it was not going to be duplicated. I told the service rep that I wanted a turbo boost gauge put on it because it does not seem to be boosting all the time. When I was called that my car was done and nothing was duplicated, I was told that it was boosting in range. When I picked my car up the next day, there was nothing on my bill that stated that the turbo was even checked. I was told that they cannot put every piece of equipment that they use on each car on every bill. Etc. . .
