While driving the rpms decrease while the speeding is increasing. At time you can feel the car slow down when pushing the accelerator and then it slightly jumps forward. The car can be going 75mphs and the rpms will be between 0 and 1. This also causes it to lag.

Due to a poor electrical ground connection to the power steering control module, the vehicle has been losing power steering assist during start up and while driving; this requires much greater effort for me to steer the vehicle even at low speeds, and is increasing the risk of a crash for me and my family.

I was driving along when out of no where my trunk opened. I got off the highway and closed it. At that time I was puzzled wondering who had been in my truck to have not closed it correctly. I knew I hadn't been in it in awhile. It wasn't until a few weeks later when the "service vehicle soon" light on my dash came on. I went and had my vehicle scanned and was told about the trapalert system in the trunk and that is why my trunk popped open. I realize there was a post about this like a decade ago. But this is happening to me now and I can't find help for this issue anywhere. I've contacted both Chevrolet and gm support online as well as repair shops and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. Gm told me they don't keep info on vehicles older than 10 years. All the information online would suggest there is an actual sensor somewhere in the trunk although extremely vague on where it actually is and that it has a disable switch. Well, we've tore this thing apart only to find out it's some looped wiring that goes into the stereo amp in the trunk. I've yet to see a sensor yet for some reason my vehicle is still giving a single that someone is trapped in the trunk thus, popping the trunk whenever it wants. I've been searching high and low for information and already spent $1100 to repair issues to clear the dash light and nothing seems to work. Just a waste of time and money and considering this happened while I was driving 55mph I would think it obvious that its dangerous. Could we at least get some actual information without having to spend more than the vehicle is worth. Smh.

The exhaust manifold cracked, took to shop to see if can weld and was told it is connected to the Cadillac converter. This was putting majoy exhaust fumes into car. Making myself and children sick. At the shop they said this is very common and he is not sure why no recall has been placed on this and why they wont fix. In the process of saving to get this fix the car rode rough, stalled, exhaust fumes and sensor's went. I replaced and I am now having this issue again. Chevrolet needs to get this fixed and a recall should be done. Had this car just for a year and I swear once warrenty went everything this.
The back up is very dim and when backing up you can barely see where you are back up and if anyone one or anything is behind me. I am not sure if its the camera or the screen. The screen looks fine when listening to music or using it for calls.

I purchased the vehicle used. Four months after I purchased it the traction control, stabilitrak and reduced engine power light came on. I took it to a certified mechanic, he said the code came back as a faulty battery. He replaced the battery and said everything should be fine. Less than 4 hours the car did the same thing. I took it back and he said it was the throttle so he cleaned it costing me a total of approximately 350. 00. I didn’t have any problems for 2 months. Now it seems to be getting worse and does it almost every time I start the car. The car idles rough and shifts hard if I drive it. Also the traction control light comes on when I turn left and makes a grinding noise. Since the issue I’ve researched and found several complaints regarding the same issue.

Consistent problems/issues with the traction control turning off randomly while driving the vehicle. Which causes the car to almost stall, have issues accelerating, make a grinding/scraping noise until we manually turn the traction control off. Most of the issues/sounds stop shortly after turning it off, but car still has issues accelerating and feels like it’s going to stall.

Several different instances I've had my parking brake release as soon as I go to move after being parked for a long period of time. (I never set my parking brake to begin with so I don't understand why it keeps telling me it's released) once it tells me it's been released, it's followed by a rough jersey of the car and then I'm able to move. Ever since I bought the car, there was a small shake. The dealer had to cover the front strut assemblies that were going out at the time of purchase; but since then the shake is unbelievable. I've put tires on, checked all parts of the chassis, and don't see any visible defects that would cause the shake. They have no answers or ideas of how to fix it for me. The faux metal ring around the cupholders on the center console has been cracking since the date of purchase and it finally caught on a cup and broke and has cut myself and my child several times. I had to end up ripping the trim off just to be able to use the cupholders. Lastly, the car seems like it's not gaining enough power sometimes. I keep up on services and general maintenance, and nothing seems to help. It sounds like the exhaust is leaking, and again, there are no visible defects when looking under the car.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala equipped with an oem jack, part number: 13500018. The contact stated while jacking up the vehicle to change a tire, the jack folded and caused the vehicle to fall. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
All the lights are flashing on dashboard. Car won't start. No gages work on dash. Lights won't work blinkers don't work. Radio panel is black. I had same issues in 2018 and had to replace detection module and harness on both sides. Paid $1200. Now I am having the same issue again.
On these cars the blend doors open when your driving and fogs windows to were you can't see mostly in the winter or colder temperatures. They start to click because of the bad design of them and sometimes the clicking goes away and sometimes it doesnt and the safety risk is when the doors malfunction it fogs windows and you can't see. Car was taking to auto shop and they confirm that's the problem and the parts for the car are under $100 but over $1200 for labor.

Service blind spot detection system alert come on I took it to the dealership and paid 95. 00 to diagnosis they wanted 1900. 00 to fix the problem 2 weeks later while waiting for an appointment the entire system is failing forward collision warning, lane departure warning ,and parking collision warning. The dealer now wants another 95. 00 to re-diagnosis seeing as only the blind spot was the only warning at first. I'm being told this could lead to the vehicle shutting down even while driving.
2016 chevy Impala with 3. 6l v6 has a design fault that causes failure of the evaporator core including leak of freon and inoperative air conditioning. Leak of freon and lack of air conditioning in 100 degree plus outside temps endangers the driver and passengers. Local auto service and local dealership both confirm failure of evaporator core. Issue has been identified by chevy manufacturer and TSB issued n182186881 to cover repair/replacement at no cost to the vehicle owner. However, database is intentionally exclusive of vins without cause or rationale. There is documented history of chevy/gm declining to authorize service to affected vehicles on online forums and even at my local dealership. No warning. Issue is air conditioning failure. Upon first warm day in the spring, the ac blew hot air. This suggests legal dodging of addressing the issue by manufacturer. Manufacturer should honor their bulletin and verify all applicable 2016-2018 Impala with v6 are added to the database. Owners and potential owners must be informed of this issue that manufacturer has admitted to already.
Mechanic confirmed evaporator core leak, which is leaking freon faster than can be put in. Leaking freon is a safety concern, as well as the resultant lack of air conditioning. The car becomes very hot inside, and the air conditioning does not blow any cold air, creating potential for overheating, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, etc. In addition to general discomfort.
Ii purchased the car new. At 3 years and 3 months the evaporator core failed dumping the freon. I realize you stated the a/c is not a safety item but I read many complaint on this vehicle on the internet. I am a retired mechanic and the failure rate for evaporators is very low. I changed out maybe 10 in 30 years working on vehicles. This needs to be looked into and addressed by gm and corrected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When making left turns the car will make a loud grinding noise and will stop momentarily; it says it is due to the traction control on the dash. It is extremely unsafe when making a turn while a car is coming and there's nothing you can do. Also while making left hand turns the wheel will sometimes lock and you can't manually move the steering wheel. You have to turn off the car and wait sometimes 10+ minutes then the wheel will unlock. Now when I go to start my car it starts shaking and making a loud noise and rev low. After about 1 minute it will completely turn off and it will say service stabilitrak and service traction control.
The manufacturer patented stabilitrak system continues to fail on my vehicle. Initial odi 114406439. Dealership charged $1,7832. 15 to replace transmission control module (tmc) on 11/5/21. On 12/22/21 vehicle indicated the exact issue (service stabilitrak), took vehicle to same dealership, awaiting response. The car is not drivable when "service stabilitrak" is indicated as engine power is substantially reduced. Gm technical service bulletin pic5992a seems to apply to my issue. However, chervolet and the dealership says it does not apply, but continue to charge for engine light analysis and unnecessary, expensive repairs. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
There is a known issue with the shift lock release. The cable will fail in many 2006-2013 Impala's. The vehicle will not get out of park. Another well known issue is the blend door actuator. It is a noise that comes from the dash/heating/cooling due to chevy using cheap plastic parts.

When I’m driving and slow down my key will turn itself off making the car itself shut off.
Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Brake booster not regulating properly. This is causing the vehicle to not stop at a timely manner and a need to push brake all the way down for vehicle to eventually stop which is unsafe when driving. This has been confirmed by independent service center which has recommended to search for recall. No warnings or messages prior to issue.
Vehicle was driving and operating as normal. I drove to shopping center, was in store for an hour and came out to a car full of smoke when door opened. There appeared to be a fire that had started and stopped originating from the drivers side door panel.
Evaporator core failure; gm issued a bulletin regarding this repair but my 2017 Impala that meets all other criteria for some reason "is not covered" by this; the evaporator core was confirmed to be faulty by a non-dealer mechanic; this released refrigerant into my garage; the bulletin in reference is n182186881; I phoned gm regarding this bulletin and they advised me to file this complaint here.
Found leaking bright green substance on driveway. Ac disabled/blowing air with no cooling affect. After trying to reach donovan at an 800 number referenced in other complaints that number is now associated with 3m disability program. This is very much a health issue and should be a national recall. The evaporator core must be replaced at no cost to the vehicle owner as this is a known defective part. Freon is dangerous to breathe.
While driving this vehicle, the traction control will turn off along with the stabiltrack function. The transmission will drop into "limp" mode and function on a "basic" level. This causes the vehicle to loose power and become very sluggish to control or operate. A code for "loss of tcm communication" to be found in the computer via the adl. To remove the code and restore communication to the transmission control module, I have to remove and reinsert the wire coupling connection wire harness at the tcm. The tcm will now communicate with the ecm. This is a recurring problem solved by this action.
According to my obd scanner the components that are failed is the throttle body position sensor circuit a & the throttle body position sensor circuit b. Before this happened the check engine light was on for about a week, when I scanned the vehicle with the obd-ii the code for a large leak in the fuel evap system came up. One day while driving the vehicle I was stopped at a red light and once the light turned green I pressed the gas and the car started to sputter and move very slow also in the driver information center it intermittently showed the warnings service traction control and speed reduced. I had to pull over when safe to do so. Once I got the vehicle home I ran the scan again and it came up with the throttle body position sensor codes. The part is available for inspection. The safety of me and my passenger were in jeopardy we could've definitely been in an accident because it was so sudden when it happened. I have not taken the car to a dealer but an independent mechanic has looked at it. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than me and an independent mechanic. This was a very scary experience and I have seen many forums with the same issues from gm cars. Your attention is needed and appreciated.

Stolen vehicle.
Car shuts off while in traffic and it says engine power reduced service traction control.
Refrigerant leaks. 1234yf.
I was driving straight on freeway at 70mph when "service stabilitrak" "service traction control" and "engine power reduced" showed in my dash as well as check engine light. At the same time the car shifted itself to 3rd gear and reduced speed to 40mph without change in driver input. This resulted in a near accident that would have been fatal. There was a 18 wheeler right behind me who was luckily paying attention and did not crush me when my vehicle did this. I then had to continue down the freeway unable to go beyond 50mph or get out of 3rd gear due to traction control malfunction. I had traction control set to off as I always do, it's not a needed thing living in a dry low elevation environment. If I applied more gas the engine would "bog down" and nearly stall because the computer was limiting speed and gear. I nearly died today because of poor engineering.
The evap core started leaking a month ago had the car for 2 years and as I read online its a common issue and chevy doesnt want to fix it. Sometimes the transmission shifts hard but doesnt happen often.
Cruse control deactivates and won't reactivate while cruising at highway speeds. Seems to work again after shutting off and restarting. This has happened several times. Last time it happened the engine also died. Coasted to the side of road, waited a minute and car restarted and seemed fine, but happened a second time a few minutes later. I was on a state highway with light traffic so was in no immediate danger, but would hate for this to happen on a busy six lane interstate. No diagnostic codes were set by the computer system.
A/c evaporator core leaks all the refrigerant, leave a big spot of refrigerant on my driveway after we did return for a short trip, the cost is too high to replace it and I think we deserve full coverage of parts and labor, I have been a gm customer all my life and this is the first time that one of our vehicles shows this type of problem. Thank you, juan bazan 832-758-1469 jbazan954@gmail. Com.
