1 Headlight Switch problem of the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu

Failure Date: 10/19/2020

The right headlight keeps going out. I have changed the bulb 6 times in two weeks. I have changed the plug and it still keeps going out. It is the low beam light bulb that malfunctions. I have changed the switch for the lights and also took it to a car shop. Nothing is fixing it.

4 Headlight Switch problem of the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu

Failure Date: 09/12/2019

Passenger headlight keeps going out. Changed the bulbs, still out. Changed the wiring harness, still out. Next step is the signal switch! the high beam was working until I changed everything and now I have no low or hugh beam on that side!!I have changed the bulbs numerous times on that same side over the past few years. The time prior the connector on the bulb was melted!! I have been reading all over the internet numerous people who continue to have this issue. Replacing these items over and over again is costly. It has been happening too many times!! this needs to be a recall! it is clearly an issue in manufacturing. We should not have to constantly come out of our pockets for lazy wiring and manufacturing. Do right by your customers and make it a recall issue gm!!.

5 Headlight Switch problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu

Failure Date: 09/04/2015

We got up this morning, went to get into our car and as I tried to unlock it I noticed my keyless entry would not unlock the door. I asked my boyfriend if his was working, and his wouldn't open the car either. So I unlocked the door manually and no alarm sounded. The dash didn't light up as it usually does either. I tried starting my car, the idiot lights came on as did my stereo, but the car never tried to turn over. We had no interior lights, no headlights, and not even hazards!! I thought hazards we're supposed to work in emergencies but apparently I was mistaken. Thank god we weren't broke down in the middle of a road or freeway. I've noticed other years of this particular car have a recall for an ignition switch, why not this one? because their stories sound just like mine. This car is being towed to the shop tomorrow morning. If it is the ignition switch, chevy will be hearing from me.
